I've been patronizing this Batteries Plus location for about 15 years and just made a trip through the epic 2026 ice storm today. That's when I realized I'd never reviewed them before. And while 288 Google reviews average a respectable 4.6, the few dozen Yelp reviews with a sub-four average are unfair and fail to do this store justice. I've always been treated with professionalism and friendliness here. Unlike a car repair shop where you might be chastised for knowing nothing about the automotive world, there is no judgment at Batteries Plus for being battery ignorant. With a little witty conversation and expert knowledge, they'll find just about any battery known to the human race, and even install it as well! And believe me, I've brought in some challenging items. Speaking of automotive, they even offer free installation of car batteries bought there, something that's saved me on several occasions! I just brought in a scale today, with the employee immediately identifying the type of battery at a quick glance on my fifth step into the store, even before opening the compartment. Grabbing the product from the shelf and emerging from the back room with a set of every conceivable speciality screwdriver on the planet, he adeptly unwound the tiny screw, switched the batteries with a flick of the wrist, and finished the transaction. Just had a bizarre exchange with person at cash register during a pick up order of which there was confusion. Perhaps the worst customer service in the history of customer service ! When I referred her to website for clarification she refused to look saying ' I don't buy stuff on our website ' adding with a final statement ' I just push buttons here' HIGHLY recommend avoiding this location until a responsible persons are found. All I had to do was hand them a bag of conventional batteries for recycling. Bad for me I had to travel 20 minutes out of my way but good that I have a place to drop off dead batteries. I made an appointment to get my screen fixed and they told me they ordered it. While en route, I got stuck in traffic so I called them to let them know that I would be a little late. I live about an hour away, and I was almost there. The manager then told me they did not have the screen. He informed me that the insurance company (Allstate/Square Trade) would only replace my OLED screen with an LED screen. Fair enough, that is not a quarrel with batteries plus. What is a quarrel is that nobody bothered to call me, so I had to turn around and go home. An hour and a half of driving on my dime for nothing. When I complained to the manager, he pushed it on square trade and said it was their policy, and that is where I interrupted him. No, Square Trade is not responsible for you not calling me to save me a trip. I got my money back for my deductible on Square trade, but certainly nobody refunded my gas money, which was only a thing because they did not bother to call me. Great service and they will happily help you find ANY type of battery you can imagine. I've gone in twice and they easily find the huge battery that accompanies our back up security system. Employees are very friendly and the store seems to be always fully staffed. read more

This place is amazing. I can't count the number of times this store has helped me out. They always know how to fix my problems, whether it is a replacement battery for my lawnmower, a charger, iPad repair, or whatever, they always know exactly what I need. Seriously, one time they even walked over to the nearby Sonic where my car's battery had decided to die, and gave me a charge so I could move my car. I highly recommend them. read more

Batteries Plus just saved me from buying a new phone! I've been having trouble with my phone shutting down for several weeks. This week it finally quit all together. All I needed was a new battery! Yay! $69 but I got a $10 coupon for scheduling online, so $59 instead of $1100 for a new phone...It works great! The young men in the store were helpful. My phone was fixed in just over an hour, as they said it would be. There was a very elderly man in the store when we were checking out and they were so kind and patient with him. I had my phone screen replaced and have been here before. The guy Chris is a good employee but he was off today and he helped me last time. But when I came in there was another guy who didn't know anything about plus protection and had to call someone to help him figure it out. He did not want to help me or try to help me until I asked him can he call someone like a manager. I was never called about whether or not the work on my phone was completed. I asked the guy where they supposed to call, because the first person I talked to told me they would. But he said he didn't know. Completely tried to avoid helping me. read more

I have an older Audi car. That alone will be enough for ANYONE who has ever owned an Audi old OR new! Needless to say, the sad day came yesterday that my 11 year old battery finally showed signs of needing replacement. I could jump it and when it warmed up outside, the car would start again, no problem. But I knew it was just time to replace it. As an Audi owner, I should have known what was going to come of this.... A quick call to wal-mart and I was advised of a 90min wait (but I didn't bother to ask if they had my battery in stock) A quick call to Sams (Again, didn't bother to ask....) and was advised of 0 min wait - so I was on my way! Arrived to an empty Sams Club Coolsprings, but only to find out that they do not stock nor can order a battery for my year/make/model car! I decided to call walmart before committing to 90 min. wait, to make sure they had my battery - THEY DO!! w00t w00t Off to wal-mart where I arrived to 0 cars waiting - #winning!!! But wait, no - no, they didn't have the right battery for my car, as my battery mounts UNDER the rear passenger seats, thus must be a SPECIFIC size and properly vented and capped, so as to not explode OR catch on fire from spark. I went to Best Buys to find a battery for my Nikon D90 camera not only did the customer service rep gave me the wrong charger that I paid for and left work because I had waited for them to deliver it to me at the door and I thought for sure they know what they're doing little to my surprise when I got home it was for a totally different Nikon camera I returned it this morning and they didn't have a charger for my camera there or so they said I left they were quite a bit disappointed with my refund of course in hand and I proceeded to drive away and was looking for electronics express store In the process I pass by batteries plus store, and I thought I wonder if they might have what I'm looking for so I proceeded to park walked in and Kris Who is customer service behind the counter went right to a universal charger took my battery that I had with me put it in and showed me That this is the one I'm looking for. Had the screen on my phone replaced here. Made an appointment online a few days in advance that way they would know I was coming and would hopefully not have to wait quite as long. It ended up taking them 5+ hours when they quoted 3 to 3.5 hrs. Not the end of the world, however, had I known I would have to wait so long I would have just gone somewhere else. Totally honest in their business practices. Picking up my moms iPad that was repaired, it turned out I was misquoted the price over the phone. This was particularly problematic because mom wrote a check for the exact amount. Despite not having "proof" of my call to double check the price, they honored what they quoted me and even took responsibility for the error. Incredible. Tale of two stories here. I've used Batteries Plus for my car batteries a couple of times and found them to be knowledgeable, helpful and easy to work with. On that side of the fence, I'd give them 5 stars. On the other side of the ledger, I just had my iPad repaired there (cracked screen) and I'm less than thrilled. They called and let me know it would take longer than promised because they had damaged the power button, but they repaired that for free (makes sense and is appreciated). Now however, the sensor in the iPad that can tell when a cover is placed over the screen isn't working. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but in the end I wanted it to work the way it is supposed to. I'll give them a call in the morning and see what they say; I hope they will stand behind their work. 7/7/15 Update: After taking my iPad back to them for the subsequent repair, I could not be happier. Gail knew exactly what the issue was and repaired it quickly and perfectly. A couple of days later I was contacted to see if everything was still working fine and I assured them it was. I would say that my initial service experience was an aberration and no longer have any hesitation about going back. read more

Great place to have your cellphone fixed! Cheaper than most places but doesn't skimp on the quality! Employees are very helpful and extremely nice. One employee even stayed after closing time to fix my cellphone. If that's not outstanding customer service then I don't know what is! Highly recommend this business. What a total joke. Advertise replacement key fobs. Trip 1, order fob. Trip 2, computer didn't work. Trip 3, tech needed a code. Trip 4, fill out paperwork showing I owned the car. Trip 5, more paperwork they had forgotten to get. Trip 6, told to come in and tech would be available with code. Oh, when arrived, tech had just left. Trip 7, After 7, yes 7 trips to the store about the fob for my Nissan Pathfinder, they informed me that they could not program it to my car. Yes, they gave a refund but what about all the gas and time wasted on 7 trips. I would not recommend this place to anyone. And found out the old fob only needed a battery! read more

iPhone fixed in 2 hrs. Charging port replaced and works great. Very courteous service and even used a $10 off coupon for scheduling online. I'd check here first before going to the phone repair shops. You might save a few bucks and get better service. read more

Purchased a battery for my aging Dodge Grand Caravan. When I arrived at the store I was told the battery I purchased online was out of stock. Great..... Their solution was that for about $15 more I could upgrade to a better battery that was in stock. Problem solved....I was in and out in about 10 minutes. Thanks guys !!!!!! The only way to make my experience better would be if their web site showed if the local store actually had the battery you bought online in stock. read more
