I was very happy with the service. I dropped my iTouch (4th gen) and suspected that I broke the speakers. I made an appt w/a genius bar attendent (Cody). He confirmed my suspicions and told me that I could replace it for the same version for $80 dollars or I could buy a new one. I chose to buy a new one. He turned me over to a sales assistant, who helped me w/the purchase. Then he came back to try and help me transfer my the backup of my old iTouch to the new one. OF COURSE, it didn't work. This did not seem to be his fault. Cody was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend Cody when dealing w/technical issues. I am a little annoyed that Apple still does not have a consistent way to retain a customer's data/personal settings. read more

I am currently a PC and I'm happy about that. But, the experience I had at the Apple Retail Store here in Holyoke was excellent. I received a brand new iPod touch from a friend as a gift to replace my lost 5th generation iPod nano. However, I have had a problem with my iPod touch. The headphone jack refused to work. So, I just dropped by at the store and made a reservation for the Genius Bar. They treated me kindly and they did not try to dumb down things for me. And they knew what they were talking about, unlike some other repair shops. They realized it was some sort of defect, and they promptly replaced it for me. A month later a similar thing happened again, and it was replaced again. I am quite pleased with this and the experiences I had with the Apple Store has made me seriously consider getting a Mac just for the Genius Bar. read more

I had a problem with my phone and went to the store. OMG I didn't have an appointment and I was a walk-in customer. How could I possibly expect to get service without an appointment----that was the customer service reception I received Promised to be only 40 minutes before someone could help. It was almost 90 minutes before a technician was able to see me---problem solved in less than 5 minutes...the scheduling person could have solved the problem while he was managing the appointment log...Worst customer service ever read more

5 stars for service, 3 stars for Apple products in general. I went to this store recently to see if they could replace the Lightning Digital AV Adapter I had bought from here. The adapter stopped working after only a couple months of use. Even though the adapter looked abused and I didn't have a receipt or any proof I bought it from that store, they still replaced it with no problem. Thanks to the stores leader Eric, I was in and out the store in less than 5 min. with no appointment scheduled and the place looked pretty busy. read more

I have been to the Apple Holyoke store dozens of times - for purchases, classes, technical help, and repairs. I know practically every employee. I have been there when it is super busy and the place is packed, and I have been there when it's practically empty. I have gone early, before they open, and waited in line to get in first. I have gone in the middle of the afternoon and had to wait 30 or 40 minutes to see someone. I have registered for many Apple today classes. My experiences have always been just fantastic. I find all the employees to be knowledgeable, kind, patient, focused, and friendly. Last week I spent $4000 on a new computer, router, external hard drive, and Home Pod. I have an Apple Watch, phone, and IPod , all purchased at Apple Holyoke. The store is 34 miles from my house so it isn't exactly a walk in the park to get there, but I love the store and would never go anywhere else for tech advice or products. read more

very very poor customer service! waiting for more than 30 minutes trying to swap out a pair of ear buds that is still under warranty

There's some things I don't like about Apple Stores BUT, they pale compared to the overall quality of the service, knowledge, skill and friendliness of the staff and Holyoke's SUPER GM (and I'm going to butcher his name) Fwapo (sound like Swapo). I always buy at Apple Stores and try to get my occasional service there, but walk-in appointments always involve 60-90 minutes of heels cooling that I usually can't afford. Apple website referred me to an "authorized reseller" for immediate service who immediately diagnosed a "logic board failure". BULL. In almost 3 years this 6s had never even burped. Battery was still good but not great so for $29, what the heck. When I tore up their work authorization they went BS and had no choice but to hand my phone back. I went to Apple -people I trust- and waited. Fwapo was a great recycler! I wouldn't go anywhere else, ever again! Great show. J read more

I am a Mac! I love my apple I phone, MacBook and apple tvs! I can't get enough! I love the Mac store its designed well and advanced. The only thing that sucks is the wait times. You really have to wait a while to get helped, I do understand that they probably have the hardest time dealing with multiple people at a time, I mean it's retail! I've been in this Apple store several times before to pick up odds and ends - cables and chargers and things. Today I brought my 12 year old there to but an iPod Touch that he's been saving for. Our salesman, Frank was friendly, patient and respectful. He not only explained how the iPod worked, but also the mobile commerce thingie attached to HIS iPod. Despite the fact that the store was packed with Saturday shoppers, we were in and out of there quickly, but never felt rushed. Really, really pleased. read more

The customer service I received in this store was awful. I have never waited so long to be seen, and due to a 'miscommunication' (they told me completely incorrect information, then denied all knowledge) I was without a phone for two weeks. And when I did eventually get the phone, it was scratched and they are making me wait another week for the replacement. I have never had such a bad experience in an apple store, and when I asked for the manager, I was fobbed off and told that she was 'too busy to see me'. I would rather make the two hour trip to Boston than go to this branch again. read more

Worst apple store I've ever been to. We had an appointment for 9:30 AM and there was a sign outside the store saying that they were closed for training until 10:00 AM. We came back at 10:00 AM and the idiotic apple "concierge" informed us that it would be an hour wait because we "missed" our appointment. ARE YOU KIDDING??? I "missed" my appointment because your store was closed. This is exactly what is wrong with Apple in general. Apple designs their over-priced with inhumane labor in order to make a quick profit. They intentionally design their products so that they need to be replaced within a year or two. The pretentious and self-righteous Apple store employees need to work at the Apple store because society cannot put up with their uneducated competence. In short take your crappy Apple products elsewhere so you do not have to deal with uneducated idiots that call themselves Apple Store employees. No one tells me to wait an hour when it's their fault. Went to the Holyoke Apple store with my daughter; BEAT headphones were defective, needed repair or replacement. As this was our first experience, we had not idea how things work in the APPLE Store. Finally we were able to speak with an employee and we were told to we needed to make an appointment to be seen,. Came back at the time we were told to only to be told that is was a floating appointment. (meaning that we would need to wait again. Where did this idea of a floating appointment come from? Someone must have either been on CRACK to come up with this or be a Millennial. Then we had to wait some more, about another thirty minutes. You can make returns/exchanges at WALMART faster than you can at APPLE ! Finally met with an Apple person only to be told that because we did not buy them at an Apple Store, they would have to be sent out for repair/replacement; they said it would take 3 to 5 days and they would be sent back to us. It is now day 10 and according to their web site, the diagnosis has still not occurred. Poor service and no credibility is bad. I certainly wont be getting my daughter any more APPLES, their BAD APPLES. read more

My brother and I came to this Apple store, the closest one to our house in Spencer, to upgrade our iPhones to the 5s and switch our family of four to a Verizon family plan from our separate AT&T plans. Due to a new Verizon policy to combat fraud, we were only able to get two phones that day and then were supposed to be able to return within 72 hours to add on the other two lines to the plan. Long story short, Verizon's fraud protection ended up causing a bunch of problems and there were endless issues and roadblocks even when we called up Verizon and they assured us that everything was fine. We returned to the Apple store a total of four times in the space of about a week and a half, and every time we were there the attention and help we received was simply wonderful. One of the employees even accompanied us downstairs to the Verizon store to see if he could do anything to help us! Over the many times we were there, and had to sit and wait for Verizon to try to fix things, we were able to observe interactions between other customers and employees, and every single one was exemplary. No matter what your level of technical knowledge is, whether you're a "Mac or PC", or what you need help with, you will receive the best of care. read more
