The rating would have been no stars at all! But that option was not available. Been a customer in that store for almost a decade. It was my favorite store to check out new products, get good tech and customer support in the past. I believe this was my first tech visit since 2015. Everything had changed. No friendly greetings. No engaging talk with the customers while listening and using the listening skill to figure out what the customer wants. They talk at you a mile a minute. The woman who said she owned the place and she was a manager there was not interested in even performing the job of a customer service manager. She told me she was the highest position here and she owns the place. When an employee uses this line, be they staff or manager, they are exactly the opposite. She tried to throw me out of the store and called the security. Because I demanded to be treated as a valued customer, not someone who went solicited for money or business! When her name was asked, because she would be reported to the Corporate Center, she was jumpy and defensive. And I get it. I get her fear of her name being given out after a If someone had done or perform their job the way they should or better, they would be waving their name in front of you so they will be given recognition. Well they wiped my iPad Air 2 because they said they had to test it-even though the Apple Care had noted in there of my calls for the same problem for the past two weeks. When the manager started to get on her high horse, the store employees left my iPad all broken. It was not even loading the home page after the restore they did with their computer. Then a guy in his 40s showed up calling himself Brian and tried to treat me as if I was dumb to get me out the store. The only reason I stayed was I wanted AppleCare to talk to them and see if they can come to some kind of collaboration to make one of the Apple customer get satisfaction. Apparently that did not happen because these so-called managers refused to do their job: customer service. I had been there in the past with issues more involved than needing to replace the iPad. The employees were very professional and get on the phone with whomever they needed to resolve the issue, such as the phone carrier. read more

One of the reasons I buy "i" products is the excellent customer service. Upgraded my phone last Friday and although the store was relatively busy, I was well taken care of from selection, delivery and activation of my new device, transfer of data to trade in of the old phone. It's a delight to deal with intelligent people who know their stuff and don't try to sell you crap you don't need. read more

Terrible customer service at this location. I knew what I wanted when I walked in so I did not need much help. However just purchasing a phone for my daughter became a stressful, negative experience. The clearly inexperienced saleswoman cleared my phone instead of my daughter's old one. Yeah. They were able to undo it because I have at&t (according to them) but holy crap! Then the saleswoman disappeared and we just sat at table for like half an hour waiting for apparently the only person in the store that knows what they're doing to complete the set up. I've purchased phones and a laptop from both this location and the Short Hills location in the past. I will never use this one again. I had a problem with my phone a few days later as a result of what happened and I called the store for help. Remember the IT guy character that jimmy fallon used to play on snl? Went to the store in freehold last week to get iPhone repaired. They didn't fix it. The freehold store is incompetent and treat customer like idiots. The Edison store is the complete opposite. They solved the issue and were a pleasure to deal with. Great customer service. read more

Travelled to the nearest Apple store in Edison because I was excited to purchase my apple product from the store itself. I could have simply gone to the best buy near my house. I asked if the ipad wifi was able to do gps, and i got a confident answer of yes but later found out that the ipad wifi does not have the gps capability. instead it tracks its location off a different triangulation. In any case the rep answered all my questions but didn't wow me with any features on either the ipad or macbook air. I also had to continuous ask what sort of accessories would be recommended with the product and i didn't get such a great response, it was more like yeah that maybe good or well you don't really need that. I purchased my product and was told that there was a student discount with the purchase of the protection plan I come home to find out that the discount was not applied ... very disappointed that I have to travel back to the store to get this adjusted. read more

had a genius bar appointment at 3:45pm the place is packed on the weekend. long waiting time even after i checked in, i still had to wait for a tech. the tech would not let me open my computer on their genius bar to swap my harddrive because its not grounded so any static could damage my computer. ok thats fine. so i went outside the store to open up my harddrive and swap in a new SSD i bought. took less than 10min. i came back in and they told me they cancelled my appointment?!! waited another hour. that is some bad service. all i needed was to plug into their server and download the OS which took another 30 min. so was in the store 2 hrs total mostly waiting read more

What a disgrace for apple. I was completely taken advantage of at the store. These reps see a female come in and think they can just get them to buy a brand new phone. Everyone has an extra thousand dollar sitting around. My iPhone 8 a year old no damage or scratch on the phone would not turn on after doing an IOS update a few days before. I brought it in to get it fixed. The manager and the service guy ran their test and told me they could not turn it on. After my rant in the store I went to Verizon to see if they can fix it. Well they ended up getting my phone on and are working to get it functioning. I then called apple support to explain all of this now that the phone is on. They said they would send me a box to send the phone back. Waited an entire week never received the box. I called again to find out it was never submitted. Unreal that apple does not stand by there thousand dollar products. So unfortunate for a billion dollar company to treat there customers with such disrespect and with no care at all. read more

The customer service here is meh. The crowd is huge and thus does have alot of customers so i expected it to be well fun and efficient, even if it has to be a wait. I got my iphone fixed and i wanted to purchase something. it was a mess finding the person who had access to the cash register, which is part of a table. Usually, I like coming to this store. Except recently, I was "assisted" by one of the blue-shirt employees named Jeff Deluca - WHAT A HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE! He was completely rude, impatient, uncaring, and went out of his way to make it clear that he did not want to help us. As we were waiting to make a purchase (we didn't have any questions, we came in knowing what we wanted), he would make gesturing signs to be patient/calm down/ be zen.. with so much disdain. This was my first Apple purchase and I was a bit anxious...--Got to the crowded store and my husband got us on the wait list for Sagar S. Admittedly the wait was a bit long but we were encouraged right away by the pleasant and very helpful Sagar who went above and beyond the call of duty with explanations and such. I would not hesitate to return to this location if I was in the market for Apple products if Sagar is indicative of the level of professionalism working in this location. Had a problem with my dr dee beats purchase with best buy and the customer at best buy sucks big time so I went to apple and I am surprise by the customer service such a great staff soon as I walked in the apples tore at Menlo I was being help instantly and Laura was super nice and very helpful and took care of my issue with purchase! I had an iCloud workshop Reservation on march 24th. 7pm . The instructor was Adam. He asked before discussing iCloud is there any questions you may have regarding iPad or iPhone not related to iCloud that you have. YES. I have Windows application on my computer. Theres two problems. The first one . There's 20 apps that refuse to update . Adam had to restored those apps manually. By doing so he went to the App Store and press on the purchase button. And did a power down and start up. Second problem real headache . For two months off and on seeking this solution . (I spent three hours on the phone with Apple online support technicians Including the supervisor . Wasn't able to solve the issue. The supervisor was the one that made the appointment for me to come into the store). What I needed was to delete photos from the iPad. These photos are not displaying the trash can to delete. This was not an issue that was solved rapidly. Adam did many different functions to delete the 30 photos. He did a powered down and startup,He had a diagnostic done. Etc. Long story short. He asked me to bring in my computer the next day alone with iPad. For him to work the computer in conjunction with the iPad. It took several tries for him to succeed. He was so enthusiastic and determined that he knew he had to figure this out . He even built up a sweat. He's very pleasant and caring. On Sunday night, my laptop slipped out of my arms, fell sideways hitting the tile floor, jamming a USB stick deep inside which cracked the logic board. They replaced it free because they said I was honest telling them what really happened. I also knew my Apple Care did not cover accidents so I feel doubly blessed. Horrible customer service, very long wait time and rude manager. I went to the store since my 6S plus wouldn't start. And they found out that the display is gone. So they took the phone to change the display glass and in the process they screwed up my screen protector. They did not tell me that the screen protector will be damaged nor they told me they would not replace the protector. When asked the manager was very rude and literally threw the damaged screen protector on me. Felt so bad and I would never recommend this to everyone. ! read more

I am into this store after having issues with my proximity sensor, and have numerous failed attempts via apple care. My phone is in great condition and my issue occurred after I completed my software upgrade, anyway, once seen by a tech in the store after a diagnostic I was told I would have to pay for a new face of the because my warranty had expired. I was frustrated with this news because, this malfunction seemed to be hardware related; which in essence how's is that my fault. After explaining the inconvenience I have been through... n the most discouraging news I would have to pay for my phone to be fix the manager on duty, was willing to see eye to eye, we agreed if his tech found any water damaged or tampering to the phone apple would not waive the replacement fee! I agreed, i know have a working phone and apple waived the replacement fee. This tactical measure upon the managers behalf was extraordinary. He was able to understand, and show great customer service towards me. I appreciate all the help that was provided to me at this Apple Store! All of the workers were very polite and courteous. this place sucks ass. they have me waiting for over 3 hours and still waiting for bio to get my phone working. avoid at all cost

if you go to this store for anything they will not give you anything if it is covered under warranty... 1) I went to store today since i had a problem with my phone....there came a rep Aaron..firstly this guy didn't even check if my phone is under warranty or not....In the phone charging area a small pin has stuck inside the phone...so he went inside and came back and say this is not covered under the warranty....and want me to pay 200 to replace the phone..... 2) I am writing the review since it is not my first time two weeks back i went to the store asking replacement for my iphone cable that time it was Jeff....he said we dont cover physically damages.....then i went to another store there he just saw that my phone is under warranty and replaced the cable.... 3) it was over a year when i had iphone 4s the home button was not working and my phone was out of warranty....so again they just say have to pay 200 to replace the phone...actally when i went to the other apple store insted of asking me to pay they gave me a solution to use the accesiblity button...... ---overall i want to say that these people are less in knowledge of want they do...they really don't know what is covered under warranty and what not.....the guys @ the mello park apple store just want to charge u r credit card.....be careful....... read more
