I went to the Apple store this past week with my aunt visiting from Peru and she wanted to speak to a specialist about the iPhone XR, but unfortunately no one spoke Spanish. I am immensely disappointed that in such a diverse state that is NJ Apple can not accommodate and speak to a person traveling from another country. I give Apple 1 star because they lack the diversity needed. Spanish people are big consumers of Apple and they should act as such by hiring bilingual speaking customer service representatives or Apple Specialists. I'm not sure exactly how their Human Resources department handles their hiring, but they should take action by hiring a more diverse staff that is able to communicate with not just English speaking customers but people from other countries. read more

You would figure $600 would buy you a nice phone and great customer service! You walk in and you see so many people in blue shirts taking to each other you would think they are free and willing to help! They tell you to make an appointment so that they can assist you better, I went home made my appointment and returned 3 days later, what a waste of time! I come back because my phone has been freezing, battery doesn't charge properly and my contacts are not getting my texts. They check you in and sit you, it's still first come first serve, so if the person who had the appointment before you hasn't been helped you will not be helped until they are finished with them. I waited 20 mins after my set appointment. The techs run a test and there answer is to reset your phone and if the problem continues to come back!!!! WTF?! Like really I waited for you to tell me what I already tried at home, I had to questioned his advice and his come back was to tell me that the system on my phone was showing small problems nothing else! Unfortunately I went home and reset it again, if the problem continues I will definitely be back and get a new phone. read more

This is an update: So I finally went to the Apple store. Instead of them giving me a new phone, apple cleared out/reset my phone as new. A couple of days later it started to do the same thing.. so I end up calling Apple again. I told them my phone is still under warranty and I would like to get another phone. Well, they suggested running another diagnostic which they had already done and/or me resetting the phone once again which is very inconvenient and I refuse to do it again. So finally the phone representative made an appointment for me to go back to the Apple store to get a new iPhone 7. Well let me say the in store staff was polite however less than a couple days later after receiving the new iphone7 it is doing the same exact thing as the old phone. What a waste of Gas and time!!!!!!! I will never buy another Apple Phone. The iPhone 7 is a piece of crap!!! You yelpers know why they got the one star review. Wish I can give their @$$ a zero. Im outraged by lack of employee knowledge and customer service. As someone who works in retail and is in management , i certainly understand that you cant make every customer happy but i made an appointment to get my screen fixed. I showed up on time and after waiting for an hour, imagine my surprise when they came to me and told me they are no longer doing any repairs and id have to come back the next morning at 9am. I expressed my frustration but agreed id be back at 9am. The next morning i go in at 9am and the woman in the store tells me that the store wont be open for another hour......So today im making my third trip over to see if i can finally get my phone fixed. They are evidently focused on getting more sales and not enough on repairing or assisting the customers that have had their products for years. A Tip: A restaurant often schedules a wait staff that can handle the influx of customers. If the night is light - personnel is cut. Waiting 2 hours at this Apple store for a damn battery that Apple originally sold defective is unnerving. We treated our Apple rep with the same excellent curtesy that he showed us. Yet we witnessed other customers berate employees for the managers scheduling mistakes. This is a horrible thing to do to your employees. Too crowded and hard to make a technician appointment due to high demend

This place is pure shit show. They rarely honor appointment time and won't even offer to text or call you to notify when the queues actually opens up. Took me three damn hours to get battery replaced. I asked them if it takes 3 hours to replace battery and they said, "no, but we have a lot of phones." I was sitting in front of service representative that checked me in waiting for them to retrieve my phone but nothing happened. I asked to the rep next to him and he tells me "Uh you're suppose to checkin again when you come back." Wow, if I'm sitting there like you don't even bother to see if I'm being helped? Also, the rep that checked me in did not say I need to check in again when I come back. So they didn't even explain the process. I guess being obnoxious/ aggressive should really pay off when you are here. Ask about everything and anything and rush them because they couldn't care less. Never come to this location unless it is absolutely necessary! I really am doubting their customer service/support these days. Yuck. read more

Honestly I'm very frustrated. I expected more from a trillion dollar company. I went in with MULTIPLE hardware issues with my phone, which was evident after Frank ran a diagnostic and analytics test. He nicely told me that my only option was to pay for a replacement. Shocked I disagreed and expressed the fact that I have taken great care of my phone for 2 years, have never wet it, and have never taken it out if my otter box case. Why should I pay for something that apple messed up? When he picked up my frustrations he went to get his supervisor aka manager of the store John. When he arrived he told me the exact same thing that Frank did as if I didn't understand it the first time. He offered no help to me whatsoever, no other options, and no alternatives. According to him I had to pay for a new replacement. As a student at Rutgers university who is not working because of the coronavirus, this is very frustrating and I can't express how upset I am. John did not have the decency to try to make us the customers happy. He didn't try hard to figure out what our other options could be. I never write reviews, but as a customer of apple for half my life, the customer service here was atrocious. read more

First time I actually walked in here, there were many people all around the tables and it was difficult to move around. I was trying to find the ipod touch display but could not find it due to the large crowds around the tables. I was interested in buying an ipod touch but, I couldn't find anyone to speak with to answer my questions. A few people kept bumping into me it was very tight. I felt everyone been there playing on the laptops for hours since I saw several people on facebook! I ended up leaving since nobody was there to answer my questions, and I was not in any mood to get pushed by the large crowds of people. I ended up buying my ipod touch online. I suggest they hire a few people to stand near the entrance door. The place did look new and clean though :) read more

Smooth fast and easy when shopping with apple A+ experience all the time

This store is always busy; but when you book in advance (which you can do online) I always had good service without needing to wait too muh. My iphone for the second time was dying too soon even though it was fully charged and even after the second problem, the tech replaced the phone with a brand new one, with no cost to me. When I had to return the old phone, I thought the tech at the genius bar would erase the phone in front of me but he did not. But I used the find my iphone feature and sent erase task right away. Whenever I passed by this store, I always see this store swarming with people. This Apple store like many other Apple stores are always popping and lively filled with people playing on the laptops, asking questions, and purchasing new products! I usually stay away this store because I'm not a fan of crowds, but I came in here for the first time to purchase a mini iPad 2 with retina. When I first walked in, I went up to the mini iPads table, and within 5 minutes, a worker came by to ask me if I needed help. Whoa, that was quick and amazing! Despite of the busy and hectic crowd, the workers were very alert and quick on spotting new, potential customers like me. I was greeted and assisted at a timely manner. I told the assistant "I want to buy a mini iPad 2," and in no time, he grabbed me one and checked out for me with a portable register! Very convenient! I like Apple products but going to the apple in general is nauseating. I hate having to make appointments with the pretentiously named "genius" bar to talk to high schoolers. That being said...the employees that work here are EXTREMELY nice and very professional. They are also very sympathetic about damage to products and getting things repaired/replaced. I've been an Apple geek since I swore off PC's and Microsoft years ago. I have to admit that since it's become hip and trendy, the novelty is long gone. The products still hold up and are still cutting edge. I will be a AppleHead for years to come. Definitely make use of the Genius bar. Only downside is having to make an appointment in case something happens. The trick is to wait until midnight then make your appointment online. read more

If I could give it a zero I would in a heartbeat. I understand that it gets busy in the store but if someone is standing in front of you waiting PATIENTLY for you to finish talking with your coworker AT LEAST for the very least acknowledge that the person needs help. The last time I came in ended up waiting for another 45 mins to get help when everyone that came after me with the same problem already at that time got the help that they need. The person that helped me didn't even know what's going on and kept asking for help from other coworkers. Anyways moving on to the next time I came in. NO ONE HELPED ME. People clearly just plainly ignored me. When I finally went up to someone for help they directed me to a place but waited and waited until I finally approached a staff and he gave me an attitude. Had a problem with my iCloud account I walked into the store. I didn't know I needed a genius bar appointment but they still managed to squeeze me into an extremely difficult schedule. Even though I was a walk in they fixed my issue within half an hour and I was on my way. I do wish that they expand the store the place is really overcrowded. Beware of taking advice from so called experts, the girl helping told me that we should back up the iPhone using icloud and buy the more memory so pictures can also be backed up. I told her i don't trust it but she insited and told that is only way apple will back up proof. so we did and after back was completed, she reset the phone and resotered the phone from back but all the pictures where gone. SHE LOST ALL MY PICTURES FOR THE LAST YEAR. Then apple tells me nothing they can do a picture back and other data is two different back system. APPLE you only have on freaking back up button, that says backup Know. DONT GO to this apple as even manger was rude to me for calling out the girl. I hope this store loose and folds up. My phone die from a battery issue and would not turn on (not a uncommon problem from what I read). After calling apple and being placed on hold for 45 minutes I was told the best they could do was a appointment 5 days later. I told them I need my phone for work and there was noting they could do for me. This is unacceptable for a product that cost over $700 and is only a year old. Been meaning to buy an Apple Watch for a while now. I went to the store on 5th ave (NY) over the weekend and couldn't decide at that point so got back home and did some research. Finally during my lunch break went to this store in Menlo Park. Luckily for me, i knew what I wanted and what the difference was between the Series 1 and Series 2. The lady who was helping me, seemed a little too oblivious to the sale. She barely knew the answers to the questions I asked. I am in Sales myself and if this was someone who didnt know exactly what they wanted, she would have lost the sale. Her name was Nay. She definitely needs more training. She kept checking her iPad for answers or asking her colleagues. When she did answer basic things like if Series 1 was water resistant, it was incorrect and i nearly didnt make the purchase. Luckily for me, someone else walked by and he answered everything clearly. On the other hand, Mike who helped set my watch up, was knowledgeable and helpful. He answered everything and didnt seem like a "babe in the woods". This was my first time in this store. Maybe next time, i'll stick to the store on 5th ave where i've bought most of my Apple products. First time ever the purchase experience was so unsatisfactory buying an Apple product. read more

Without a doubt the friendliest staff I have ever encountered in the tech field. I went there without having purchased my iPhone from them. They sat down helped me do over and hour. I went online and scheduled an appointment to bring my iPhone in for a recall on the battery. i arrived at the store, about 10 minutes prior to my appointment time. I waited another 45 minutes past my appointment time for a 2 minute interaction with an employee (no exaggeration). Pretty much they just needed my name and the best way to get in touch with me, if needed. Three hours for the battery to be replaced. This all occurred on a week day. read more

Now that apple has more users and developed throughout the years, this place needed a larger store. Luckily the service has been improving since they moved and expanded the store. Most of your questions can be dealt with through apple support, but it's still great to go for help when you need a diagnosis or need a quick repair. read more
