I made an appointment for a lip wax, and unfortunately I had a very bad experience. The wax was way too hot and it burned my upper lip. I now have visible marks from the burn. What made it worse is that after the wax, nothing soothing was applied. Normally, aloe vera is used after a lip wax to calm the skin, but instead she only put what seemed like an oil or Vaseline. Because of the burn, I now have to apply medicated ointment to help my skin heal. A lip wax should never result in burns, and proper aftercare is very important. I'm very disappointed with this experience and would not recommend getting waxing services here. read more

I've been coming to this salon since 2021 and it's become my go-to spot. While the spot is not the most recently updated space, they get the job done and get it done very well and clearly their A-list clientele doesn't mind either. Patricia has been my nail and lash tech from day one and she is incredible. So attentive, honest, and genuinely invested in making sure I always leave happy. Cindy does my gel pedis and she is the sweetest! She always makes me giggle (especially when she scrubs my feet because it tickles) and she has such a warm, calming energy. After coming here for years, I always feel like a welcomed regular. They know me, treat me well and the consistency is unmatched. My sister is a recently converted regular as well! I do see people come in frustrated about walk-ins, but honestly, walk-ins haven't really been a thing anywhere post-COVID. I'd definitely recommend booking an appointment or just being patient. You book online. And they usually have tons availability. Its a hit or miss here. Sometimes i get a great person who leaves me very happy with the work and service and sometimes its terrible and I hate the work and have them redo it because im not happy. I dont think they have enough good nail artists in house. I asked for a thin french and showed her the pic over and over again and she repeatedly told me ok but ended up not doing what I asked... Its also frustrating when you go on their website and you book with a specific person and you dont get them...ever. I appreciate they take all forms of payment. Everyone there is so nice! I went for a full set, I wanted never acrylic but they said Gel X is healthier so I said "why not!?" Loved Amy she gave me great length and made sure my nails came out with satisfaction. Only thing I wish was better was the design of the A on my right ring finger. Atmosphere was also very nice. Twice I've had nails come off at this salon, within a few days the first time and a week the second ( patricia didn't do the first set ). They fixed it for free ( I tipped very well when they did this as I wanted them to be paid something even though it wasn't my fault ) as it the usual protocol with nail salons but not before I was blamed the two times it happened. The last time it happened it was after I'd had a miscarriage and had been in bed for over a week so it took me a little longer to go into the salon as I was unable to get myself out of bed. Patricia has always done an amazing job with my nails but obviously something went wrong this time. It took me a while to get them to agree to fix them first they told me that the hospital must've taken my nails off because I had to have an operation but I let them know I wasn't under anaesthesia, then they requested a picture of the nails that had come off as proof, which of all of my 15 years of getting my nails done I've never heard of. Patricia did an amazing job fixing them and she really is incredible at what she does. They kept telling me it must've been something I did, I let them know that obviously after what happened to me I wasn't doing anything that could've caused them to fall off. The next time I went back to get an infill they refused me in front of customers which was incredibly embarrassing. I asked if we could go outside because I was upset and they told me that they couldn't do my nails anymore because they weren't confident enough that they could do a good enough job. I then started crying ( my hormones are all over the place still ) as I've been a customer for over a year and spent probably over a thousand dollars on nails and pedicures. I then said I was going to write a review because of my experience the lady then began to raise her voice and told me I was trying to bribe them. Which makes no sense because I already knew they would not continue to let me be a customer. It's such a shame because Patricia did such a good job with my nails and she was always so sweet. But a salon refusing to have you as a customer after two mishaps is honestly insane to me. As Ive said I've been getting my nails done for over 15 years and things happen! Sometimes they fall off! I've never had an issue like this before, or been blamed for something happening to my nails. I can even get my last salon in London to vouch for this. I'm just extremely disappointed that after everything I've been through this last month, I now have to add this on top of it. I imagine they're going to try and write something back to me that will put the blame on me but this is the gods honest truth. If you do end up going to this salon, know they have a tendency to blame the customer if something goes wrong, but I'll say it again, despite the one set that came off ( things happen ) , Patricia P is a really skilled nail artist and I couldn't recommend her more ( my nails came off a week after the date they were done, as I said in my review I came in a few days later. Looking at the bookings I have on my texts, it was 12 days later. I explained to you I'd had something traumatic happen and wasn't able to get myself to the salon as soon as it happened, I have all the receipts. I can post the pictures, I can even post the pictures of my hospital band. You said "we have done your nails for free MANY TIMES" twice is not many times, as for the "time I made you fix my nails done by another salon" not sure where this narrative has come from. That never happened. You've fixed my nails TWICE, both times were done at your salon. I have never and would never raise my voice at anyone, it's not in my nature, im British, we really don't do that and I do not do well with confrontation. So I'm not sure why you're lying? Especially considering you were raising your voice at me 20 minutes ago outside the shop ) at the end of the day it sounds like you just don't want to fix things if things go wrong. They also have a lot of bad reviews) update since they've changed their minds and changed the rebuttal what they did to me shouldn't and never will be resolved by a " we should go our separate ways" message. It's incredibly disappointing and totally ignores the fact that they tried to blame a woman who miscarried rather than just admitting they messed up. You messed up on my nails TWICE. Again both times you tried to blame me: I don't work as a miner, my nails are never at risk of being broken by work: you should've just accepted you messed up, fixed it and I would've continued to spend $140 plus for a mani pedi: you messed up big time. Nope, I will not be going back again. My daughter and I each had an appointment, 15 minutes apart. She was getting a gel mani and I got a classic mani. We shared this, when asked, when we came in the shop. They said to pick a color. There were plastic nail samples on the table and bottles on the wall. I asked where to go, as usually gels are the plastic nails, from my experience. They just looked at me. My daughter directed me to the plastic nails. They had several techs and all were busy at the pedicure bowls. We waited about 15 min and someone came to service my daughter, because she was first. A couple of white women came in after us, announcing appointment times that were after mine. They waited. At first opportunity, a tech ran over to engage with one of these ladies, with a sense of urgency, to ascertain her needs. They were having a nice conversation when I said, "Um, my appointment was before hers." The customer immediately stated that I should be serviced first. The tech kept right on talking to her. Another came slowly ambling over, "I am coming to you." Now, my daughter is one to get embarrassed if I am getting poor service and say something. Like, "Please stop following me/her around the store." There was that time that a Ulta security guard even told me he was just doing his job, which was, apparently, to tail my daughter in a room full of white shoppers. She was so mad at me when I said that was unfair and he said, "Talk to management." I don't yell. I'm always polite. I hate calling attention to myself and rarely say anything unless something egregious occurs. But, it embarrassed her. This time, even she was like, "Mom, they did you dirty." Speaking of which, they soaked my hands in a bowl of cold water, no soap, and sprayed her tools with alcohol and dropped them back in the cart after using them on me. That is the most minimal attention to cleanliness I've ever seen in all my years of nail service. She filed about eight of my nails. Then she got up and answered the phone. She never came back. I didn't complain, just chatted with my daughter. Eventually, another tech came and started on me. I wasn't paying too much attention to the previous service - I was busy talking with my kid - so I didn't know where the previous tech had stopped. She tried to ask her but that was useless, so we figured it out. This tech did a good job, no complaints. Well, except for when she pulled out the nail dryer and then left it on the chair and went over and started helping another customer. I had to ask for the dryer to be put in my nails. My daughter, who is usually embarrassed if I gently ask for the simplest thing that a customer should expect, as I did here, laughed. She was done way before me, even though she had more services and her appointment was only 15 minutes before mine. Adding to this, I waited and waited for the tech to notice that she had left me hanging. So, here is my suggestion: if you want to get good service here, don't be a middle-aged Black woman in a nice sweater and skirt (I was headed to a date afterwards). Show up in your 20s or 30s in a Brandy Melville dumpy track suit, like my daughter, or yoga pants, like most of the women I saw there. Look like you just rolled out of bed and put your hair up in a clip. Otherwise, you're invisible. My daughter loves her nails and says she will be back, and why not, she fits the profile. She said, "Everybody who worked on me was very professional." She snickered at me and pointed how trashy I was treated. I had to laugh. The most important part of that time was just hanging with her. I found this place on Yelp and saw all the beautiful nail art so I figured it was a good spot. The staff was very nice, the salon was clean and the service was quick - the only reason I'm giving it stars. I got a gel mani and regular pedicure. As my manicure wrapped up, the tech gave me a massage on one hand, completely skipped the other. Regardless I was initially happy with the service but the very next day I had a polish chip on my toe and my thumb! I noticed how thin the gel was on my manicure. Within the next couple days, I had more chips on my tips, rough edges on my nails and my cuticles looked awful. In a week, the manicure was completely ruined. This has never happened to me before, my gel manis last at least two weeks before they grow out, and no chips. Very disappointed. read more

I really dislike leaving bad reviews, but this place is filthy! I walked in and all of the chairs were worn and dirty and the entire establishment was dusty. The lady who did my nails cut me to the point where I was bleeding. The way they organized their tools was disgusting. She was using old tools and old files, throwing them in and out of her cart. She then started to paint my toes, but did not even pumice the bottom of my feet. At that point, I told her to let me go, I didn't want polish, I wanted to get out of that nasty place. A lady wants to feel cute and clean while undergoing their grooming routines. This place made me feel dirty and raunchy. I could say more, but all I can do is tell you to run far,far away from this salon. If not, you will probably get a fungus or some kind of disease. I see that the manager replied, but she isn't being honest. The files and buffers are not fresh and was all in a drawer that was used loosely and in an unsanitary way.
