Bad costumer service in this store also online. In this store they have wrong information and they don't know about their business . Online lousy service !! Order something on February 25 and they said will be delivery in 3 days but on 03/04/2020 someone called from a number unknown from the state of Texas saying they need to conform my order and the call sounds like was from China because the lady who spoke to me had a heavy Chinese accent. I was very upset and disappointed that took them 8 days to confirm my order after l placed the order and everything went thru. I need that phone for a gift and after 7 days was too late because they said l'll had in 3 days. Apple people just wants to make money and they are big and just take advantage of their customer!! I'm sick of apple making me to buy phone when l had one already, twice happened to me that when they have a new phone come up they sent waves to my phone and l have to rush to the store and buy new phone this happening to me twice. I am only giving this place 5 stars is because I love Apple and the employees there that are actually good are the best. When you first walk in most times employees are ready to greet you and help if you need any. Sometimes that's great and it depends on the person. I personally don't like that but I can see how that's better than having to chase someone down for help. The Genius Bar here is pretty good. The people I've dealt with are very nice, helpful, and understanding. But I can see with some other people they aren't as fortunate and get employees who seem a little untrained or don't seem like they want to help. People should work at Apple stores because they want to and because they like Apple not just a way to get money to live because then they don't care about customers and that's wrong. They made everything worse... My keyboard from my macbook was not working so I had to give it to them.Today I wanted to pick it up and they couldn't find my macbook anymore..... awesome! After a while they found it and told me that they couldn't fix my problem, but if I'll send it in for 500$ they can fix it. Now my keys are not working at all anymore, just because I handed it in. This is a fantastic Apple Store. There were no Genius Bar appointments, yet the man checking in found someone who could help me right away. That was a man named Isaiah. He is the best Apple employee I have ever worked with. He was so helpful and acted like a human being, rather than reciting a contract. Another horrific customer service experience at this store. Called to check stock on item before I went to the store. Got hung up on twice after holding before I could speak to someone and was told we have lots of stock of the item. 10 minutes later I'm at the store, its practically empty with only 5 customers. Service associate says they have no stock of the item after all and came up with a lame excuse that someone must have bought 20 of them in 5 minutes. These people are lazy, incompetent and insulting. From what I have learned from a friend of mine who happens to be an Apple customer service representative, the number of hostile, belligerent, and rude customers whom she encounters every week is incredible. Therefore, reading these critical reviews of the Apple Store in the Stamford Centre, I'm rather skeptical! I had a minor problem with my Apple iPad, and not only were Eric and Greg, and then Mark, extremely helpful and efficient, but they were friendly and in no time, we were laughing together and solving the problem together. Five stars. I'm very sensitive to customer care everywhere: there is a lot to complain about out there, but not in my experience at the Apple Store in Stamford. Thank you, guys! read more

Hoping my experience changes. I've had an annoying experience with the online support team, and had to physically come in after spending an inordinate amount of time online. When I arrived at the store, I was greeted as usual. The gentleman wanted to be as helpful as possible and tried to explain my situation to another employee who kept cutting him off. My experience with the guy was the same. He didn't let me finish an entire sentence as insultingly explained what a text message is to me... Here for the appointment now; hopefully it goes well. The "Genius" that helped me today was far from that. She used my friends phone rather than hers to set up my phone. While she continued to text on her phone. She called the Apple support team and just made jokes with her colleague, while on my friends phone. Super annoying. She didn't have any care about the customer she was working with. I came here and had an appointment. I waited a very long time to be seen. At this point my phone was taken in th back for a "micro inspection". The tech brings it back out and says there is unauthorized 3rd party parts inside this phone. I bought it new from Best Buy, and have only had it for 2 weeks..... Generally speaking, in the past, I thought very highly of the staff in this store. Now, not so much. I made an appointment for 8:50 last night through the Genius Bar to trouble shoot an issue with my phone, which was covered by AppleCare. I was told that there wasn't anyone around to fix my phone, and asked to return in the morning for a 10:40 appointment. When I arrived for that appointment, I was told that the appointment was never made and instructed to wait for "walk in" help. After my phone was taken into the back, I was told that they couldn't service my phone because they stated that I had an "aftermarket" screen on my phone (which I never had installed), and I voided my warranty (that I paid $150 for). The person who told me this asked about a small gash on my phone and said he was surprised it didn't crack the screen. Needless to say, the most help I received was his "offering" to sell me a new phone at full price (in the area of $600). Based on my experience, I feel that this place is nothing short of unhelpful and a disappointment. I'm disappointed that I did spend so much money on their products and support over the years, believing that it was a sound investment in not just their product, but the quality of their technical/product support. I explained to them that I needed an UNLOCKED iphone because I needed it for another country for 15 min! I paid full retail price for an unlocked 4s iphone. The worker spelled my name wrong after spelling it 3 times so I never got an email. Then I tried setting it up for wifi only use but was not able to get past the main screen. I called Apple Support and found out they sold me a locked phone and I will not be able to use in my country! They don't take the time to listen at this store and try to rush you. Now i lost $600 because of incompetance. Apple Support said I have to return it but this all happened right before my flight and I had no time. They don't care if they rip you off. They don't accept responsibility! They make their money and don't put effort into ensure quality service. read more

This location is always super packed and they can be pretty hit or miss when it comes to "geniuses". Sometimes they are super polite and knowledgeable and other times they are just unpleasant and useless. On one occasion a genius left me alone at the bar while he went to talk to other customers. Just called the Stamford store to find more information about what is involved in getting a screen repaired, as I live over an hour away and this is the closest Apple Store. It was a basic waste of my time. The lack of customer support is pathetic - cannot even answer basic questions as to best case or worse case. I even told the inept person I spoke with that I have already had it checked out and I know the specifics of the problem. Apparently I am supposed to be able to drop everything and come completely unprepared and expect to spend several hours to days at this store. The worst customer service experience ever. Apple products don't really need to be sold so employees at Stamford Mall just treat you with no respect and behave as though they could care less about your business. One girl who I scheduled an appointment with was very immature and rude. When she told me my appointment time, she said she could get my number so they could text me, so I began giving her my number and she rudely interrupted me and said she would need other information first. If that was the case, she could have prefaced it. Then when it got close to my appointment, a smug guy behind the counter gave me the biggest attitude when I asked some simple valid questions. I was so annoyed at this point and didn't want to deal with him, I just walked away. Will never go to this place again. Would rather drive to Greenwich or Trumbull locations as they appear to be classier. For an Apple store, I would expect the star ratings on Yelp to be at 4 stars, and this store has some pretty bad ratings. Very disorganized. Lots of 'specialists' standing around yet none of them were able to help me purchase a $800 phone when asked if I needed help. At last I was assisted by a seemingly pushy 'specialist' who really had an inadequate knowledge of Apple's products and programs. Surprised he was even an employee given his stubbornness and almost condescending attitude especially when he was found to be wrong about something. Rare amongst Apple employees. I really couldn't wait to become an iPhone user again but this visit really made me question my investment back into the Apple ecosystem. I wanted the iPhone upgrade program and he managed to butcher that with a bundle of arrogance. In addition, he couldn't even spell my name correctly on the AppleCare paperwork when he was copying it from my iCloud account on one screen to another (paid no attention to detail) and didn't even ask to see my identification to verify that the social security number or credit card I used was mine. He ripped my new phone out of the box without even asking me, slammed it on the counter...honestly, I'm surprised I didn't walk out. I was close at two points during such. Not the experience I'm used to having. More akin to buying an iPhone on Canal Street behind a dumpster. Go to Trumbull or White Plains in the meantime until corporate cleans out these subpar 'specialists' from this location. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Never going back to this location. Extremely unprofessional and unknowledgeable staff, I came in with an old MacBook and the woman working asked what I needed help with so I told/showed her my issue and asked how much it'd be to fix. Her response was "what model do you have?" I proceeded to say "it's from 2010 so I'm not sure, but I can google it." She said "sorry I can't help you unless you have that information." Then she walked away and went to talk to someone. She came back and told me they can't help me and I need to go to some third party store to repair my laptop. So then she asked if I had any other questions. I said yes, can you tell me about the current laptops you have here, she said yes and showed me the command bar on one laptop and mid sentence walked away to assist another customer who had a question. She did that twice and never finished helping me out. She lost out on a sale and I will never be returning to this location. read more

Best EVER. I love apple stores as a rule but this one tops it all. I bought an ipod here and it didn;t seem to be synching to my new computer. I have a mac book that i got as a refurb at a best buy like 2 years ago. They took an appointment immediately and fixed the whole thing for free in 10 mins while i waited. The guy even taught me about some of my macbook systems i didn't know about. Will be back for sure. read more

I've been to this store on three different occasions and I have never had a bad experience. Today, however, they went above and beyond My iphone got messed up during an update and every person I spoke with and every google search I ran before I went to the store said that it was a lost cause and that my phone would have to be reset to factory settings. Under normal circumstances that would have been annoying but I would have gotten over it. However, my beloved dog passed away two weeks ago and I (stupidly) hadn't backed up my phone in over a year and I can't even begin to tell you how upset I would have been if I had lost those photos. When I walked in they told me that they would likely have to restore the phone to factory settings. My eyes started to well up but I stayed composed as my wife went up to the nice little team of four that were discussing the issue with my phone. She told them about my dog and how important those files were to me. They all worked together and thought up different methods until they found the one that worked. They were all so kind and happy to help. The main guy who fixed it even stayed 30 minutes past his shift to resolve the issue. I can't thank your staff enough. You have no idea how much that meant to me. Needless to say, I went home and purchased some cloud space :/ read more

My iPhone 5 would not take a charge. I was told the phone had shorted out and could not be repaired and they would take it in trade for a new 5 or upgrade to a 6. I asked numerous questions about replacing the power cord port and was assured it could not be done the phone was toast. I went to a repaired place in Ridgefield they fixed it in 25 minutes for $49. I am very upset with Apple over this. Watch these people closely and get a second opinion. read more

I was having trouble with the voice clarity and the volume of my newly purchased iphone 6s. I went to this apple store to see how they could help me since I have had this phone for less than 14 days. They completely disregarded my issues. The staff member that helped me neglected to follow protocol to test my device. They humiliated me in front of the other customers stating that my phone was working just fine. I decided to ask to talk to the store manager. The woman that stated that she was the "store manager" was no help at all; she stated that, if the staff at the store do not find anything wrong with the phone then they could not do anything about the customer's concerns.After my horrible encounter with the staff members of this store I decided to call apple. They informed me of the protocols and procedures that need to take place when a customer's phone has issues like mine did. The apple representative that i spoke to over the phone did agree with me that the phone has issues with the volume and the voice clarity. My advice to you is not to buy any apple device through this apple store. read more

I'm still reeling after my experience at this store! My phone would not power on. When I took it to Apple, the man who helped me told me my phone could not be fixed, that it was too old. There was no water damage or anything like that. I asked if I could retrieve my information, and he said I couldn't because I hadn't backed anything up. (I almost started crying--pathetic, right?) I asked this guy what the price was for a new iphone 6 and he told me $749. Whoa! I went to my carrier--a few stores away--Verizon to check their prices. They could upgrade me to a 6 for $3.00 per month at no cost for the actual phone. Plus, the guy at Verizon was able to retrieve everything from my old phone in seconds. (Granted, I don't know much about all this). Anyway, the Stamford Apple sent me a customer satisfaction survey. I filled it out, and a manager contacted me. He told me that iPhone6 price quoted to me was $200.00 over the list price. Moreover, my phone was not dead; otherwise the Verizon employee wouldn't have been able to get my information. This manager didn't express any surprise when i related my experience to him. He simply said they couldn't match Verizon's price in any event. He refused to give me the name of the employee who helped me. WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS APPLE STORE. Maybe the employees are stressed, underpaid. I don't know.
