i brought my laptop in as it wouldn't charge. clerk immediately said it was the software, so he replaced it. came back next day to pick it up but still didn't charge. so this clerk said it was the charger. Told me to but only Apple chargers. i did. still would not tske a charge. iMO Apple Ridge Hill needs clerks who know more about its product. A manager called me to come back and she would personally look after her. we set up appointment, but she was nowhere to be seen. i was referred to another clerk who didn't know how to fix my laptop.If i have to buy a new Apple Mac Air, I will NOT buy it at Ridge Hill. read more

Avoid if you can! Not quite sure if the people working here were racist or just plain rude. We went in to replace a broken iPhone. We were ready to purchase an iPhone 7 so we looked around to see if someone was willing to help. There was an older sales person in their apple green uniform standing right next to us. We stood there for almost 5 minutes before we figured out that he wasn't going to walk over and ask if we needed help. So I walked over to ask him if he could help us. He looked at me, gave me this disgusted look and turned his head away. I figured I might have misread the situation so I said, "excuse me" and he continued to ignore me. I walked around the store for a couple minutes to find someone who was actually willing to assist us. This is sad but it needs to be noted that there were a dozen employees who were just standing there and had no interest in helping out customers. Finally, I found someone who was willing to assist. I told him we wanted the iPhone 7 32gb in black. He spent the next 5 minutes trying to sell us apple care and a case when all we wanted was to buy the phone. I asked him if they could repair the old broken iPhone 6 and he just told us it's going to cost more than a new phone. He didn't even know what was wrong with our old phone and clearly he didn't care. I suppose he was nice enough to just sell us the phone at the end and asked us if we can just put the phone in our own bag. He didn't offer to walk us through anything or even provide us a bag. I was very close to just walking out since it seemed like they don't care about customers or their business. If you need to visit an Apple Store, go to the one in the white plains mall. tldr: The store manager Mandy LIED to my face, and after I confronted him, he tried to gaslight me. I purchased a Macbook with student discount a few weeks ago, and now Apple came up with a Back to School deal of a free pair of Airpods with purchase. I called their store ahead of time and asked could I get the free pair here, they told me yes, so I drove 30 mins here. While another employee helped me to set up exchange, the store manager Mandy told me he could not honor this. I told him someone from your store literally said it was ok. He started to LIE to me, "the calls all went through a call center not to our store, I can't be responsible for their words" I left but was so confused, so I called the number I used in the morning again. Two people I spoke with the phone both told me they work at Ridge Hill and told me I could get the free pair. I went in and confronted this with Mandy. He started to gaslight me, and said "I wasn't saying all calls go to call center. Some calls get filtered and come here" And after I told him he lied to me, he just told me I can't help you and turned his back on me. This is the worst expereince I had and the most despicable Apple employee I encountered. I was going to buy another macbook and iphone 12 at their store, but now I would drive 1 hour to the Soho or 5th Avenue store. read more

First of all, unfortunately I have to say this place is simply sad . Today I had to go to apple on ridge hill in Yonkers because I had no choice in the matter had to fix my phone . Normally if you go to ridge hill you see majority 80% bougie people 20% the rest. Normally this location is known for racially profiling . So basically if you ain't white or look like you got money you get the super brush off of course with a smile. I go in I see it abnormally empty took my chance in asking if I can be seen early before my appointment and like always It was a fail immediately. I was told ten minutes before my time I'm like ok . So had like 20 mins to wait I just go a corner of the building near the front. Out of everyone way patiently waiting . Mind you I'm scoping everybody out all employees and people . All employees just either talking to them selves the ones without customers and the rest helping customers . Again I'm in the corner minding my business. One employee came from all the way from the bathroom door to the front of the building to ask me 20 questions I'm like wow I'm here for an appointment do we have a problem ?? Even checked if I did have an appointment ( mind you there was like a few people to my left that needed help but I guess I caught her attention. Then to my left about five feet there was an employee there the whole time so after the woman left he decided to ask me the same thing as the woman even though he saw and heard the woman ask me the same questions ?? He also checked if I had an appointment I repeated the same thing I have 7 mins left to check etc so he left . Them a white woman and her daughter came in and stood in front of me near the corner . Left her daughter watching her stuff while she checked in mins you my appointment was for 1:05 so now iTs 12:54 I heard her say her appointment was for 1:30 so technically she can't check in till 1:20 . So the same guy that came with the 20 questions to me went straight to her and was basically kissing her ass and I heard her say she had a 1:30 appointment and she was waiting basically in the same spot as me the worker said to her don't worry I'll have you checked in now he took her computer for her walked her to the table sat her and went to the check in people and checked her in ???? I'm like wow so I had to wait and on top of the wait I get treated like a criminal or something . This is why I HATE COMING TO THIS BUILDING! lucky enough that girl who actually helped me was cool and genuine but unfortunately can't say the same for her colleagues. It's an Apple Store so of course it was beautiful, clean, and very packed. It took sometime to get help, lucky a young gentleman came helped me get the final price of the product I was looking at. He gave me some advice and asked a few questions to make sure I was getting the product I need. I didn't have the heart to tell him that I been doing research for months on the iMac. Not much can be reviewed, every Apple Store I go to pretty much are the same, in terms of customer service, overall look, and comfort. If you're local of course best store to go to. Last Friday, I go over there to pick up a keyboard attachment for my new ipad. I get the last one, and then get someone's attention (not always an easy thing to do there) and ask if I can pay him for it. Apparently, I got a supervisor's attention, who is above such mundane tasks, so the supervisor gets a salesman to help me. I tell the 20something sales-kid I want to pay for this item and hand him my Mastercard. He then says, "Whoa! Do you own an iPhone?" I say yes. "Then why aren't you using it to pay? It's because you didn't know you could, right?" I couldn't believe it. As a matter of fact, I DO know I can use my iPhone to pay for things, and have it set up to do so; I just didn't happen to have it with me at the time. I ask this ageist little shit who clearly assumes that because I'm twice his age I don't understand how to use technology, if Mastercard is or is not a valid form of payment in this store. He says it is. I then ask him to maybe skip the third degree, and take the payment for the item so we can all move on with our lives. I then have to chase him to give me a receipt, and he spitefully tells me he emailed it to me. (He never said that after completing the transaction; he just left me standing there and ran away.) An hour later an other genius returned my phone telling me that they could not safely remove the battery, am I missing something???? He then offered that I could purchase an iPhone 6 for $300. I went to the apple store at Ridge Hill to purchase my iPhone 11Pro Max and iWatch series 5. The line was very organized, and the employee who was running the line before 8am was very friendly and helpful. Upon entering the store I was greeted by Luis(hope I got his name right), he was also friendly, helpful and answered my questions. He got my purchase and sat me at a table. After I was passed off to another employee, who appeared nervous and kinda clueless about certain questions I was left alone. I had to ask an employee walking by why I was still getting texts on my old phone. I also had to remind them that they now own my old phone. I was told I would get some basic assistance with my watch (I'm a first time iWatch owner), since I was sitting alone for a good 5-10minutes I decided to walk out. Yes, that thing which is not over an app on the IPhone, or from a MacBook, but the real deal: Face to face customer service. I didn't know 6S had problems with battery from factory, I took the phone to other store and they replaced the battery and now the phone is working properly. They usually have an apple personnel at the entrance but sometimes you end up walking past them and it can be difficult to get things done. I'm just happy to have a Apple Store pretty close to home. I would suggest making any appointments from home and then showing up on time for said appt, because if you're late then you lose your spot and have to reschedule and the wait is usually 2-3 hours. Overall, I love this place for all my "Mac Pro" needs. Parking is fairly reasonable. $3 for all day parking. Can't beat that. I usually walk down to H&M to see what they have if I'm too early for my appointment. TJ Maxx is a favorite here as well. This mall is really nice and the staff at all store have always been very friendly and professional. read more

I went on a rainy Saturday morning with an appointment! I was quickly serviced and helped. The girl said I had to go to an authorized reseller for parts for my vintage aka 5 years old laptop. She did not tell me more than the closest one before walking off and that was the end of that. I tried to buy a laptop charger and there were staff gathered in bunches but I had to find someone to purchase this $80 charger from. I was helped and the staff was jovial and accommodating and helped me make sure it was the right model. But it does depend who you get. read more

The best Apple store I've been too. i had an issue with my Macbook Pro and I found the staff here to be EXTREMELY helpful. As I made my way through the store (it's a large store), almost every employee greeted me and asked how they can be of service. They were also very efficient. Before i knew it my Macbook Pro had a new battery and I was good to go. Big shout out to Ian, who was super helpful and super fun to talk to. He really knew the in's and outs of everything Apple related (even down to what the terms and agreements said). Overall, it's just a great apple store. read more

What I love about this Apple store is that if you go during the week, its almost never crowded! Unlike most Apple stores that are always a mad house, this one is manageable. My debit card was used for a fraudulent online purchase that was picked up at this location. Apple protocol is for all pick ups to be verified with a matching Id. This pick up for 2 Mac Pro Airs was not verified with an Id by the Apple employee. I was basically told they will look into it and I should call the local police department. Worst customer service experience I have ever had! I came in at 1pm to make a Genius Bar appointment. Was told that I would be texted when to come back. At 4pm I received a text to start walking back. I was in line at a store on the opposite end of the mall and started walking back to Apple Store immediately which took approximate 30 mins. I got to the Apple Store, and the not so genius guy at the appointment line told me he gave away my appointment. By now, I was waiting since 1pm and couldn't believe my appointment was given away without a single phone call, text, or email notification. I ask to speak with the manager and the appointment guy walked over to the manager to whisper in her ear (obviously trying to cover up his own mistake). The manager, Ashley on 1/24/16, walked over and rudely said we would need to wait another hour or more even though we had been waiting with an 8 month old Baby! We asked for her Last name or company ID and said she couldn't give it to us... Then she called security to escort us out when I told her I would be filing a complaint. Unbelievable, even with an 8 month old baby and stroller! As long time business customer of Apple Products, I couldn't believe the service had dropped to the level it has. I don't know why I didn't review this house of horrors sooner. Maybe because I am a lifetime apple user and believe one bad apple shouldn't spoil the bunch. However, to not warn people about this rotten mess would be a disservice to humanity. First of all, this is an apple store in disguise. It has the signage and there are all the computers and phones on display, but really it is a place where every incompetent parent comes to dump their 5+ rugrats so they can talk on their phones next to their friends, who are also talking on their phones, and let their heathen kids shriek like hyenas at levels that im surprised have not shattered the windows of this place. They run back and forth, under tables, chasing each other. One of them ripped the power cord out of my computer while I was plugged into a table waiting for an open training session..... OH, and that brings me to the service and competence of the staff. Don't even bother trying to get attention or information out of anyone at this place. Even trying to track down the person you have a scheduled appointment with is like playing hide & go seek -- oh yeah, of course it is, because this place is a pre-school program, not a place to get information about the expensive technology that you purchased. Really they should take down the Apple sign because its just insulting to real Apple stores. Put the lego-land sign back up where it belongs!
