What a nightmare. I've visited the Apple Store in Village Point over the course of many years. In prior visits, they have been positive. With an on-line purchase understanding in-hand, it took over 20 minutes for any of the many staff members who were standing about to notice. Ultimately, a staff member decided to assist; what a nightmare experience. What should have taken 10 minutes maximum wound up being over an hour. The staff member was totally clueless about the Apple product or how to process my purchase. Such a frustrating experience of trading in an iPad Pro and picking up a new iPad Pro - UGLY EXPERIENCE! Ridiculous that with an appointment I still had to wait 30+ minutes to be seen. Absurd that people without appointments somehow were seen and left after I arrived and I waited with an appointment like an idiot. Next time I'm just going to my cellphone provider or Beet Buy Geek Squad. I may have to pay for their services but am guaranteed to be seen within my appointment time. Huge disappointment and waste of time. No one ever stopped by to apologize or let us known when we were going to be seen. Well I guess my experience with the Apple Store has been the opposite of most people's experience. The one downfall this store has for me is the location, it's like driving to Lincoln for me. Once you are there you have to walk another two or three blocks to get to the store. There's just a big apple on the outside of the store ;) the first time I visited here I had my iPhone 4s. It has a software issue and could not hook up to wifi so they replaced it for free. The second time I visited was today. My iPhone 5s blacked out and I could not get it on. A tech quickly helped me with no appointment. My phone was up and running within a minute and he told me what to do if it blacks out again. I have had very good luck with the store. read more

Brutal. Try to do as much online as possible. Their tech is great, their in person customer service is garbage. Their text message system told me to head back to the store soon as my appointment was almost ready. 1 hour and 45 minutes later and I'm sitting on a park bench outside the store slowly going nuts listening to the passing conversation of awful teenagers and middle aged white suburban moms weighing the merits of Chicos over JJill. I'm forming conspiracy theories that Apple tried to make in person customer service bad in order to encourage more online stuff, since it's cheaper for them that way. I'm starting to feel bad about humanity the more I sit here, including myself. Should I really be writing this review? Is a couple hours of frustration worth writing a long winded negative review on some website no one will read? Is Village point slowly turning me into the mental equivalent of the teenagers that seem to just keep walking past this bench!? Anyway, try to avoid using the Apple Store here in Omaha. read more

Happy day! It felt like I was back in San Francisco at the flagship store. I made an appointment with the Genius Bar to have my iPhone 5 camera issue resolved. Upon arriving I was passed off by two people. Ultimately, even though after reading through several posts on Apple.com forums with everyone having the same issue, I was told that it is a hardware problem. However, the warranty was up on the phone so if I wanted a new phone which is the only remedy the situation I would have to pay $260. Keep in mind that I have an iPhone 5 and that the camera worked fine before upgrading the software. I have tried to reinstalling it etc. with no luck. I drove from downtown to this location with hopes of a resolve- instead got treated like a customer that did not matter and no options other than coming out of pocket to fix a situation that I did not create. read more

I got burned with two lemon Macbook Pros in CA and as Apple Stores are a franchise the Omaha store did not have to replace the lemon MBP. They could have forced me to mail in my lemon and then wait for it to diagnosed, then fixed or replaced. The Omaha store was great and replaced my computer even though they were the ones who had to take a hit on the lemon I got from a different store. There is even a tax difference while 2 bucks is no big deal when comparing the total cost of the computer, after having two lemons I thought it was a nice gesture that they covered that difference in cost for me. I had great customer service from both managers, so I am not sure where these other reviews are coming from. By the time I got to the store I was happy that the entire story had already been described to the greeters and both managers so I didn't have to take the time to retell all the details. Apple needs to get on it and get a store in Lincoln. read more

About as unhelpful as can be. Getting your apple product fixed here is about as punishing as a busy day at the DMV. Make an appointment if you don't want to be met with rude remarks about how you should have made an appointment. Either way, expect to be here for a while. read more

5 stars for customer service! I had just purchased a iPhone 6s last September, but the home button started to stick. I actually has an appointment the next day, but I found I had some extra time hopefully to get my phone fixed. So I went in and explained that I was hoping to squeeze in the current day. Sure enough, they were able to schedule me within the hour. I came back and of course it was crazy busy. So I sat down checking out the new Apple TV :) It was about 7 minutes after my scheduled time, and I had mentioned it to an associate. Sure enough she started helping me. This girl can multi-task!! She spent less than 2 minutes evaluating the situation, and since they don't have a abundance of 6s phone displays, she switched it out for a brand new phone, as I had expected she would. I can't say enough of the multiple experiences with Apple Stores around the world. Their customer service is A1!! read more

I have had nothing but good service when I have come here. Not sure where some of the negative reviews regarding service come from. Having come in many times to purchase items, or for scheduled repair/warranty work, I have never had a long wait, and the staff has been friendly. The last time I was at the store was to buy an iPad. Checked inventory online, walked in, was greeted immediately, told him what I was looking for, had a friendly conversation for 2 minutes while the iPad was brought out, paid, and was out the door. That took all of 6 minutes in a busy store. That is my type of shopping experience. read more

If they had zero stars, this place would get it. This was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my entire life. The employees were rude, non informative, combative, and complacent. They don't have the diagnostic system to even check an Ipod then tell you that you will need to buy a new one. Furthermore, it took a 30 minute debate after a 30 minute wait just to get back my items that they had repaired (Mac, keyboard, mouse, AC adapter). The items they gave me back may not even be mine. Went in to get assistance with the Apple AirPort Extreme Router and was told that I'd have to make an appointment with the Genius Bar to resolve the issue. Sounds good, but I've already been down that road once and had the product replaced once. Asked for a manager and she told me to call their support line. Really? Normally I'd rate this location 4-5 stars, but today not so much. First I'd like to apologize to the manager Carrie for being a frustrated customer. I understand the situations is out of her control and she was very Professional about the whole situation. 5 stars for her customer service. The two stars is for the hours wasted sitting around the store for no reason when a quick Warranty search could of saved the wasted time. Now on to the review and a little background. I had just found out about the Apple iPhone 5 power switch issue/replacement program 2 days ago. Went into the store today to get that remedy as directed by the Apple website. **Long story short, the replacement program for the power button issue is only good within 3 Years of the original date of purchased. ** I was frustrated but also understand Apple policies trump customer service. So no fault on the staff/management side there. Where I have a major issue and hope some changes will be made in the future at the store is this. This is an extremely busy store and pretty much the wait time whether you have an appointment or not is over an hour long. When a customer enter the store, Please have one of your 'GENIUSES' spend a minute or two to look up the device Warranty to let the customer know if you're able to help fix their device or not. The store have plenty of Genius standing around not doing much from what I can see around 6pm today so it should not be a problem for them just to pull up the warranty. This way a customer like myself doesn't sit there and waited an hour or two just to be told nothing can be done and leave them with a sour taste of bad customer service as time is wasted. I wouldn't of been so frustrated if I knew right off the bat. Lucky I don't live too far away, I'd been furious if say I came all the way from Lincoln. Hopefully some changes/training will be made to minimize wasted time for customers like myself. read more

When you call, you cannot actually speak to someone at the store. I called 5 times and said 5 different options. I don't need to give them the serial number of my computer, because there is nothing wrong with my computer. I simply need to ask them if they provide a certain service. Of course I would do my iOS update while traveling. And of course that would be the update that would turn my phone into a paperweight. The staff here was extremely busy (apparently there were many update issues) but they were working quickly and efficiently to deal with the problems. Ultimately my phone wouldn't work and I was just outside my warranty window(one month). The staff took care of me and replaced my phone. During this time I was occupied by window shopping all the things I could purchase and the staff would quickly answer my questions. Very Very satisfied with the staff at this location!! read more

Arrived at Apple store at 7:30 pm for a battery exchange. It is now 8:30 and we have yet to be helped. All we need is to drop off my sons iPhone. The really irritating part is while we are sitting here there are several staff that are just walking around aimlessly, chatting with each other while I am sitting here waiting to be helped. Apple as a whole is wonderful. I just switched from PC to MAC. I have had two encounters with this store and both have been tremendously bad. I bought a 17" macbook pro and within 2 months a few pixel went out on the LCD Screen. They wrote me a ticket for repair. i lived in Denver at the time and was stuck in NE until my computer was finished. I was told the wait time would be 3 days. I waited for 10 days before i was given a call to come and pick up my computer. When I arrived at the store I was greeted with my same computer with the same screen, with the same dead pixels... I was told the could not repair it due to the fact i didn't have my certificate from a mac retailer saying they were the ones that put the extra 4gb of RAM into the computer. So since my computer, which was upgraded by a certified Mac Tech, had 8g Ram instead of four I was denied. And let me remind you that the instruction book shows you how to upgrade this yourself. So I, a sole proprietor, lost out on 2 weeks worth of work and the 700 dollar repair was never done. I would cut them slack on not fixing it, however it still made me angry. What made me the most angry was the fact that the Genius bar wrote up a ticket for repair after a full inspection of the unit. He saw the 8 gb of ram and new the old machine was stocked at 4gb. The "Genius" made a ticket for it after full inspection... Then The "Genius" Bar waited ten days to call back... Now, my ipad 2 has broken. Unfortunate I know... For accident repair its 250 dollars. Then I'm told they will waive the fee. Then I'm told they won't fix it dur to the fact it is an uneconomical repair. The machine still works on a tv, on a computer and everywhere in between, i just have no screen or digitizer. Why is this uneconimical if i can get this repaired at another licensed store for 150 dollars? I called Apple 2 times. They disagreed and said take it to the store and they will fix it. Then I received this letter from the store when I brought up my case. You must set an appointment with the Apple Store Genius Bar. You can do this at apple.com/retail. Keep in mind that the Apple Store is a different department with different management and are not required agree with anything you were told by AppleCare advisors. I don't know where some of these people crawled out of to write these terrible reviews. The most recent one I saw seems like someone with severe communication problems and an anger management issue. On google+ reviews, the two or three 1-star reviews I read seemed like the kind of people that would be constantly trying to get free meals at restaurants. Probably planting bandaids in their food. Anyway, my family had an honestly memorable experience at this store last weekend. It was my 8 year old daughter's first ipod touch, which she had earned the money for herself. She was as excited as she was last Christmas. We were helped within 5 minutes of walking in the door, despite the store being VERY full. The woman who rang us up was very polite and talked to my daughter directly as well as my wife and I who were paying, as soon as she heard who it was for. Bonus points. She brought out the ipod within two minutes of that, and directed us to a gentleman at the personal setup desk who helped us immediately. This guy was a superstar (sorry, don't remember his name, but I'm going to call the store to get it so I can email them with my comments). He greeted my wife and I, but as soon as he heard that the ipod was actually for my daughter, he started talking to her directly as though she was the purchaser--which indirectly she was. This was such a great unexpected touch, especially since she had saved the money herself. She got to be in the driver's seat instead of her mom and dad as usual. He and a couple other employees actually clapped for her getting her first ipod, and her face lit up! He patiently explained all the steps while the setup was completed, and let her do everything. He never touched the ipod other than to plug it in to be charged. She was so excited to be able to do things herself. At her age, a very big deal. Great customer service all around. My daughter was--and is--thrilled, and Apple likely has my daughter as a customer for life if they keep that up. Her grandparents were there too, and it was a completely fantastic experience. I am making some assumptions, but I'm guessing that the people giving negative reviews are the most difficult customers these folks have to deal with. Like the woman who butted in while our rep was explaining something to my daughter to demand that he help her immediately. He was able to graciously juggle her "urgent" issue (buying something) while we were waiting for a software update to complete, so no harm done. I may have been giving her dagger eyes, but she was too self-absorbed to notice. This is not to mention the other two times I've been in to this location for Genius Bar help with a couple of laptops and have had excellent service both times, but those don't stand out as much as our trip last Sunday. I have bought from this store hundreds of times already. my whole house is full of apple products now. Just the whole way of life is simpler and more advanced now that I switched to Apple only products. But the thing is, if i didn't go here, i wouldn't have ever known. The staff is always so helpful and so convincing, the store layout is absolutely fantastic like all other apple stores, the whole feel is amazing. You can come here and i swear you can not come out empty-handed. I always have a great time in this store, it is amazing. Even when we were just getting a case for an iPhone, and one other time a cable for connecting a MacBook to a car, the service was incredible and thoughtful. This was not a good experience for me. This is my first time owning an iPhone, and I was having problems with the message alert and the volume. I went to the only apple store in Omaha, and I waited 2 hours for them just to update phone. I would never recommend anyone getting a iPhone and going to the apple store. Do not buy anything in this store. Latest apple download froze my iPhone. Couldn't fix it with connection to iTunes so I stopped by this Apple Store. They tried to fix it but couldn't and told me it is a hardware problem. As my warranty expired last year my only choice was to buy a new iPhone or even better upgrade. I left. 30 minutes later I stopped by my carrier and they unfroze my phone. Apple and the employees I saw are the worst crooks. Do not buy Apple or support this store. read more

I went in to the omaha Apple today to ask questions about the new iPhone and order a new one. The girl at the store told me they don't have them until the 21st. and can't tell me anything about them until they get one in the store. She told me to go on line if I wanted to order one. Clearly, I know there is information online but I wanted some basic information on size comparisons to my old IPhone which is a 5. Plus, I have a business account that not too sure how to order via the Internet. I walked out feeling Apple either need to buy my products in another city or maybe it is time to switch to a different company for all my Apple products. Absolutely worst franchise store I've been to! Damn employee's, so called "managers" none of them helped me. I've been in there 10 times in the last month, still have no solution. I feel like they keep pushing me off and not fixing my MBPro. Not to mention, I still have warranty on it. Employee's don't acknowledge you. They wander around and are useless! You end up waiting 30min-1hour for a scheduled appointment. It's happened to me 3 times. I have an appointment for a reason so I can show up at the scheduled time and get help, not sit around for 1 hour then get help. I'm still going back and forth with the store and they still haven't helped me one bit. I still have the same issue as I did from day 1 I went to the store. Bought a hoverbar for my iPad. Only fits iPad 2 and 3. They assumed that's what I had. I have a first generation. Went to take it back and explained my situation to an older gentleman named DON. The first words out of his mouth were, "what the hell were you thinking?" I have NEVER been talked to like this by anyone at a business. Attitudes like this start at the top. Wonder how far up the ladder this demeanor goes. Wonder if corporate will even respond to my survey response? #doubtful 0 out of 5 stars Did research when I got home..... You have to buy an adapter for the gen 1. DON wasn't knowledgable on that either...as he went to the back of the store to look for a gen 1 hoverbar. I switched from PC to Mac... when i ran into issues my answer back was to write to Steve Jobs about my issues with this local store in Omaha NE... Steve passed shortly after... My story begins with Victor Luna Apple Case number... 321565950 victor luna vluna@apple.com was going to waive fee for broken iPad 2... was going to swap as i had purchased a mac book air and macbook pro within the last year... his email on the waived fee is below along with a case number from apple in CA.... i was then told it was an uneconomical fix since the glass had separated slightly from the body... all apple employees were kind and helped on the phone... but in the omaha ne store. i received no help.. one example is my mac book pro had three pixels go out on the screen the first month... they okayed the fix and then 3 weeks later told me they would not repair it due to me not having the receipt that the apple certified tech upgraded my ram... they could have told me this when i was in the store as they saw it had been upgraded... I stayed in NE waiting on them when i lived in CO... i wasted two full working weeks... then with victor luna, he told me You must set an appointment with the Apple Store Genius Bar. You can do this at apple.com/retail. Keep in mind that the Apple Store is a different department with different management and are not required agree with anything you were told by AppleCare advisors. To buy Apple stuff is fine for troubleshooting DON'T . The people there just know the lattes stuff if it becomes a bit technical they are lost. You better off doing search on your own. Or call apc repair guy. They don't know anything older than Yosemite. Older Macs with older OS they don't have a clue. I found my answers on line ,they just don't understand that older Macs can still work if you do updates to the hardware. In part it's not their fault they are there mainly to sell you the lattes products not to help you fix old stuff that's not were the money is for Apple. read more

Literally never again. Avoid this place like the plague. I came in at 2:30 today to have my phone looked at because my camera quit working. They put my name on the wait list and they said it would be between an hour and an hour 15 mins. I sat in my car and came back at 3:45 and they said it would be around 4:15. So I waited. Finally at 4:25 I asked someone where my spot was in line and he said it would only be another couple more minutes. No one came over to help me until after 5pm when I asked for the 4th time when I would be helped. They finally told me I had to pay $350 for a replacement phone because my apple care had just expired. I was waiting on the Apple Store for 3 1/2 hours! I didn't end up getting out of there til close at 6pm. I understand waiting for a place in line but honesty if it's going to be pushing 4 hours, let your customer know. I would have gone home. Really wasn't planning on spending my day off sitting around waiting for someone to look at my phone. Never again. I'm fed up with Apple. read more

I've made an appointment 1 week ago to have my iphone 6s battery replacement for the $29 program. I've heard stories about people making appointments before and when they got to the apple store, the store did not have batteries on hand and needed to order the replacement battery. I tried to avoid this by calling a day before my appointment to make sure that the store would have the battery on hand. The rep over the phone assured me that the store would have everything they needed. Well I got to the Apple store today which was a 30+ minutes drive with the rep telling me that they needed to order my replacement battery. It will now take 7-14 days for the battery to arrive. I don't understand why this is happening because when I make the appointment Apple asked for my iphone model and the reason for my visit. They could have easily saw the reason, ordered the battery then call me to reschedule the visit for repair. I'm not even sure if they ordered my battery because I was not given a written/email confirmation. The rep just told me that they will call me when the battery is in...Not very happy with APPLE right now. We'll see in a couple of weeks how the repair will go. read more
