My wife wanted the 8 oz steak with baked potato and green beans, i ordered the half rack of baby back ribs with the garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. I guess they have that "we don't make it till you order it" style of cooking. Really slow for your food to come out. The food is good and the prices aren't that bad. But just slow. Our water came out with stuff inside it. Like a black flake looking thing inside and the cup itself wasn't washed properly. Just straight up nasty. And the waiter looked like he has pink eye. My boyfriend & I went to applebees located on 2114 e lincoln ava anaheim ca on Sunday night 11/19/23 @ around 9ish pm and had a bad experience. First, we got seated at a booth that was dirty. I had to wipe off the dirt with the napkin that came with the silverware that they give you so i ask the front host that sat us there if we could move to the other side of the restaurant(where some people were already sitting) because our table is dirty and he tells me no because the other side is clean & its already closed so he offers to clean our table and i let him know that i had already brushed off some of the trash that was there. Second, we ordered our food and the waiter reads it back to us and what she repeated back was correct, but when our food arrived we were given an incorrect order. we ordered pasta(4 cheese mac+cheese), but got a shrimp bowl so we had to wait again for that order and my boyfriend didn't like it. He felt like the order was rushed and wasn't made properly as it should have. Finally, as we were heading out I realized that people got seated in the area that i had asked to move into. The booth that the people were sitting at was an empty booth when i had arrived there. I specifically remember looking at that booth and it was empty, but when we left two people where sitting there so this was very upsetting to me because the front host had informed me that it was clean & closed off. Came in with my kids today after a visit to Disney I enjoyed our visit even though our waiter was not on point at all, I made a comment to a girl that was working there who was by the way very helpful thank you for that I didn't ask her name but she was absolutely amazing, and immediately told the manager who came to asked me how everything was going and I told her after having my doubts on even saying anything she assured me it was for them to fix the issues. The reason for 3 stars is to report that the bartender Cliff was not cooperative with our waiter and was making his shift very stressful. Our waiter was having a hard time concentrating and keeping up with his shift. It turns out, from what we were told by a waitress, that the reason there is not enough staff to help customers get their orders on time and correct, is that Cliff purposely sabotages drink orders for staff if they are people of color because he is racist. She added that many employees have quit because of Cliff's behavior. Our waiter was visibly stressed and ended up clocking out from being overwhelmed by the toxic environment. I can't stand racist people who make other's lives miserable just because of their hatred and privilege. This bartender has had many complaints and the owner doesn't care. Apparently he and the owner are very close. Terrible environment for employees causes bad service for their customers. Take care of your employees and fire that bartender! read more

This review is for the drinks. Came to try the $1 margaritas and who ever said it was a full size glass is crazy. The margarita tasted like water so I ordered and "Top Shelf" Long Island Ice tea flavored with pomegranate. Well for one it is not a full size glass either and I do. Ot taste and Gin, Vodka or Rum all I taste is juice. i spent $9 for top shelf juice. If they wanted to remind me that they are a "bar" too then please use regular sized glasses and actual liquor. 2 stars for the service and food was good but I came for the drinks and am disappointed. read more

Worst service ever. We waited 30 minutes to be seated. After we were seated, we waited for another 20 minutes because no one had acknowledged us or took a drink order. By this time, we had to flag down the hostess to ask her if someone was going to wait on us or not. 5 minutes later, the waitress came by our table to finally take our drink order ( 1 beer, 1 margarita, and 1 lemonade) we thought we should put our appetizer order in because we didn't know how long it would take for her to come back and take our order again. We waited 10 minutes, and my son's lemonade came out. 10 minutes later, my margarita came out, but not my husbands beer. We waited yet again, another 15 minutes still no beer for my husband and no food. It's not like it is hard to pour a beer on tap. At this point, we were frustrated. We got up and left. Terrible service. Ordered online and specifically picked 'carside to go' where they bring the order out to your car- since I have 2 small children. I followed the directions, which stated to text a number when arrived so that an employee can bring your Order out. When I arrived at the location- 6 minutes AFTER the promised time that my order would be ready, the order was not brought out to my car. Waited a few minutes before trying to enter the building- via the 'to-go' order door (which stated said dole was to remain open until 9pm) at about 8:38, and the door was locked. I had a very poor experience with the bartender working tonight while my family and I were visiting the area after spending the day at Disneyland. While my husband and I were hoping to enjoy some drinks after a long day at the park we were rudely treated by an older lady behind the bar named Liz or Lindsey if I can remember correctly. She rolled her eyes constantly whenever we asked for anything or had a question and felt very unwelcome by her. It's unfortunate that while we were hoping to have a good ending to our day with the family we felt so uncomfortable that we had to leave and end up eating at a fast food restaurant on the way home. Basic food for basic people. We ended up here since another place nearby closed at 9 and we didn't want to have to search for another place. The food is not horrible its just bland and forgettable. Service was good and food came out promptly. Boyfriend had the unlimited riblets and shrimp. Riblets are OK and drenched with BBQ sauce. Shrimp was hot and crispy. I had the steak salad which was OK. It tasted fine. Overall if you just need to eat and this is your only option and it's late its fine. From start to finish it was a disappointing experience. With the restaurant only 3/4 full we still had to wait 10 minutes for a party of two to be seated. The wait to be greeted when seated, placing the order, getting our entrees to getting our check was filled with long gaps in between. The final thing was when we saw a table getting bussed with disinfectant but then the staff dropped a bottle of ketchup on the ground, made sure the top was tight and put it back on the table without wiping it down. I am not prone to posting negative comments but I know when I check restaurants out on Yelp I want an honest opinion.
