On a recent visit to Anaheim for a convention, my cousins and I stayed at a hotel near the Anaheim Convention Center. We found ourselves rarely leaving the vicinity, though one evening, we decided to head off site to grab a meal nearby but at a place with a short wait. We decided on California Pizza Kitchen. We added ourselves to the waitlist for a group of six, and the table was ready very quickly. We headed over as they held our table, and had a delightful meal with good service, great food, and some nice discounts, too. We would recommend this CPK location to anyone in the Anaheim area! When we arrived, we were immediately seated to a table with six seats, and our server showed up and was very attentive and answered our many questions about various dishes and drinks. Between the six of us, we ordered two salads, two pizzas, several drinks, a pasta dish, and two appetizers. There was a lot of sharing. Everything came out great! I personally ordered the new Crispy Chinese Dumpling Salad, golden-fried chicken dumplings tossed with shaved Napa and red cabbage, cucumber strips, carrots, scallions, fresh cilantro, honey-miso dressing, sesame seeds, and a drizzle of Mr. Bing Chili Crisp. I also ordered The Original BBQ Chicken Pizza with BBQ sauce, grilled chicken, smoke gouda, red onions, and fresh cilantro. Both of those shared with one of my cousin was perfect for me. They both tasted delicious! I will gladly welcome either dish again in the future. I had previously joined the CPK Rewards program, where you get a free starter when you register, free dessert for your birthday, one point for every $1 spent, and $5 rewards for every 75 points earned. Once you earn 150 points, you level up from the Palm level to the VIP level. There are additional levels at 350 points and 1000 points. It turns out that I had a Buy One Get One Free Pizza Offer, which I was able to redeem on this Anaheim visit even though I didn't know I had it when we decided to go there. Came into CPK on the 4th of July to take my nephews and some of their friends for a quick lunch while at the GardenWalk. When we came to put our name down for our party of 7, we noticed the restaurant was almost empty, with only a handful of parties dining in. Still, it took quite a bit of time before we had a table set up and were sat. We ordered drinks and food fairly quickly. Considering our disappointing experience, our waitress was actually very friendly. That is pretty much the only saving grace of our meal there. Having dined at other CPK's I know not to expect anything crazy or beyond what is to be expected of any fast casual restaurant of the sort. However, just about everything seemed to be off. Refills on drinks were only ever brought in full table batches once or twice throughout the meal, leaving some people with empty cups for quite some time. Bread never came to the table, which is something I only realized by the time we'd already received our pizzas. I'm not sure if maybe that isn't something they do anymore, but it looks like in other reviews it still happens, so I'm not sure what was going on, as other tables seemed to be missing it too. Our pizza took the longest, taking 30-40 mins for our table to receive all of our food from the time of ordering. When it did arrive, it was somehow all cold already. I ordered a tostada pizza, which was admittedly a mistake on my part. But even the classic barbecue chicken pizza we ordered came out lukewarm even after the long wait. It isn't like these pizzas were waiting so they could all come out at the same time either, as each came one by one over the course of 5-10 minutes. I'm quite unsure how that happens, especially considering the fact that there were only about 4 tables with guests at the restaurant at this point. I understand our party was on the larger side and we had some kids, but I don't think there is much excuse for our experience to have been that disappointing. Five stars are not enough for this place! I have never been disappointed with California Pizza Kitchen. The food is always delicious, consistent, and enjoyed by everyone in our group. Every dish we ordered was flavorful and well prepared. What impressed me the most was our recent event. We brought 130 international guests who were attending a convention nearby, and we chose CPK to host our group dinner. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Our guests loved the food, the atmosphere, and the overall experience. A special thank you to the manager, Ronny, who took outstanding care of our group from start to finish. His communication, cooperation, and professionalism were truly exceptional. Organizing a large group event can be stressful, but Ronny made the entire process smooth and easy. I would honestly give him 10 stars if I could. If we return next year with another group, there is no question that CPK will be at the top of our list. Came to this CPK this past weekend. Food was pretty good. Our party ordered spinach and artichoke dip that was pretty tasty as a starter, a carne asada pizza that was quite yummy, a burnt ends pizza, a burger type salad, mac and cheese was bland, three kids cheese pizzas and a kids mac and cheese. There was a bit of confusion when ordering the kids meals and drink options because the menu says one thing but online ordering advertises another and the waitress taking our party's order seemed somewhat adamant it was what she said. I did not care enough to speak to the manager. Kids had pretty yummy sundaes and brownies for dessert. This location does not bring out the complimentary bread. read more

I've come here 5 times over the past year after going to DL for their lunch special... get the pepperoni, mushroom, sausage pizza and Thai Chicken Salad... service and food varied from good to excellent... today both the food and service was excellent!!!! First time eating here the other day and it was a great experience. We were greeted upon entering and were sat down right away. The menu has changed over the years but the staples remain such as the kung pao spaghetti, the BBQ chicken pizza and the chopped salad version, spinach artichoke dip, lettuce wraps, etc. I was quite sad to discover that they got rid of the Italian cream sodas that I always used to get. We ordered the Neapolitan burrata pizza, Burnt Ends bbq pizza, spinach artichoke dip, bbq chicken chopped salad, and Kung Pao spaghetti. We also got free bread which came with butter, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It didn't take long for all the food to come out and everything tasted great. Everyone knows it's not the best pizza in town but when you've been eating here almost your whole life like me, the nostalgia of the food just hits different. And having a friendly, attentive server who constantly checked on us and delivered everything we needed definitely elevated the experience as a whole. The only decent thing is the restaurant is clean and the service is ok. We started with the spinach artichoke dip. It was greasy and our chips were (second layer) completely broken, and stale. I ordered from California Pizza Kitchen on DoorDash after a really busy day & everything hit the spot. The avocado egg rolls were perfectly crispy, super filling & honestly one of my favorite things because they taste absolutely amazing with the ranch. I love their ranch! The chicken lettuce wraps were just as good & always super consistent. The BBQ chicken pizza had really good flavor with a nice crisp & the chicken piccata is still my all-time favorite because it always satisfies me when I'm really hungry. My toddler tried the mac & cheese for the first time & actually loved it which surprised me in the best way. It had been a while since we have been here and we were craving pizza. We brought my grandpa for happy hour and we couldnt have been more pleased. The Meomi happy hour pinot noir is fantastic. For $9 you get a personal pizza and a beer. What a deal! My grandpa had the bbq chicken pizza and it was great. My husband and I shared a regular sized neapolitan burata pizza with pepperoni. It is our favorite item here. It's so delicious!! It rivals some of the fanciest pizzas we have tried. The burrata cheese and pepperoni are top notch. The restaurant is really nice! You walk in and get seated pretty quickly. I think on the day we came, it was a bit busy as the service was not as quick. I think we had 1 waiter for about 6 tables to the right. However, he was nice, attentive and got our order input quickly. The average CPK executive compensation is $216,206 per year. For what? To not know how to deliver entrees on time together? Oh my bad, that's the job of the staff. The problem is it's the executive's job to know these things and send the memo down the ladder. Nothing bad to say about the chicken tequila except portion size. Shitflation indeed. I kept asking the other staff around for refills, napkins (which never came until I was done with my food) I had to get up and walk to the host and ask for my check. Our server seemed to focus all of his attention on just one table the entire time we were there, while the rest of us were left waiting. It felt like we were being ignored. He was slow to take our order, slow with drinks, and barely checked in at all. Good service makes a huge difference, and sadly, we didn't get that here. Food was very bland. My family was just at Disneyland for 8 hours and we decided to order CPK take out to take back to the hotel. My babies ended up falling asleep in the stroller ride, so we decided why not eat in! We looked inside before asking to eat our take out order as a dine in instead (they were not busy.. maybe 3 total tables in the whole restaurant) First time we asked, they were understanding said no problem. Although they were a little rude when they asked me to move my stroller... as they could see my kids were asleep and I was not about to take them out of their seats to put in a booth. They did end up accommodating me to a table in the back to fit the stroller where it wasn't a hazard. A waitress came up to take our drink order and was very kind. She came back with our drinks and asked for our order and we said oh we actually ordered take out .. we asked if we could change it to dine in. Demeanor completely changed and she said she would have to go get permission to see how this would work. There was no anger from us or irritation yet, because we figured we would just open a separate tab from our take out one for drinks or anything else we wanted to order. My mom even asked for a side salad in a separate tab and we were told no we had to order from take out since we ordered take out and they couldn't give us a server. I'm sorry that's really silly in my opinion, they could've just opened up a "dine in" tab for us since our take out pizza was already paid for. Here comes the best part. The manager then comes out and was SO completely rude to us. Even the table next to us stood up and came and told us the way he talked to us was not okay and that we are still paying customers. I am very disappointed in this specific location I will never go back here. We were kind and paying customers, and we got treated very very badly. Need to work on customer service on both waitresses and the manager. I was very disappointed that the manager came up to us and spoke to us in that tone when he didn't even ask us what was going on, he just immediately belittled us. This is now the fifth time in a row we've come in and been told there's a long wait, even though half the restaurant is empty. Every single time the explanation is that they're understaffed. The food was actually really good and tasty, so credit where it's due. Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. It wasn't even busy, yet everything took forever. There's a 1-hour parking limit at this location unless you want to pay, and we easily could have been in and out within that hour if the service hadn't been so slow. Because of the delays, we missed the window. To make things worse, they did validate our parking -- but somehow gave us an invalid validation, so we still had to pay for parking anyway. CPK is located within the Anaheim garden walk Plaza. Make sure to bring your parking ticket for an hour validation. It has been awhile since I last dined in this specific location. I usually order my usual order: CHICKEN TEQUILA FETUCCINI I specifically asked to substitute fettuccine with Linguini but to my dismay, my pasta came with Fetuccini and not as flavorful as I recall how this dish tasted. My pasta was bland, I can count how many chicken was in my dish, a lot of bell pepper and onions, and lots of pasta. I was disappointed. Overall, the food tasted great. The works pizza didn't hold back on the toppings and the WCB was prepared well and not overcooked. Ambience is decent, no issues, great for any occasion. CPK! i can say that we've been to many CPK establishments and they all pretty much meet the expectations. we arrived at this location and it was busy. given the area we could see why. its surrounded by an outdoor shopping garden. we sit at the bar as per usual. the bartender/ server was busy that night. they were short staffed. Sarah kindly let us know. due to the fact that they were busy our food did take about 45-1 hours to get to us. but it was no big deal. as always our food was delicious. sometimes it varies but for the most part its pretty consistent. Walked up to an empty host stand and was ignored for about 5 minutes before the manager came up. He then proceeded to take us to a table that had not been wiped down. Appetizer was brought out to a different table, someone at said table then asked to see what the food was and the food runner proceeded to show them our food... He the gave us the food and asked if we wanted small sharing plates - we said yes. 5 minutes later and still no plates - keep in mind we can literally see he standing in the open concept kitchen. He then comes out with our entrees and ,again, takes it to the wrong table. Again, he shows strangers our food - literally tilting the plates towards them after they ask about it- before giving it to us. We also noticed other guests were literally raising their hands to get someone's attention. We stopped by for dinner on a Friday night. Made a reservation on our way here. Front desk girl (Louren) greeted us very kindly and got us right in. Felix our waiter was very kind, humble and very smooth on the service. We even tested him to see which coloring he liked best from the kids menu drawing my daughter and I did. He said we both did really good. The manager (Eric) came by right after we got our food to make sure everything was good. I have to say this is the best SERVICE we've ever ever experience at CPK. First time trying CPK here at Gardenwalk. There were plenty of tables when we went for lunch. They could not rearrange the table to accommodate our party size, but they were kind enough to seat us close together. The waitress that was assigned to us were very nice to begin with but then as the food came out and was serving us, she kind of just dumped the food on our tables. Her words were nice but her actions got me questioning if she was okay. No biggie I guess since none of the food actually splatter just loud noises as the food were being dropped off at our table. Sorry if you had a bad day! The pizza had a bit of a kick of spicy-ness to it, the tortilla chips that came with the dips were delicious, just like the spinach and artichoke dip that it came with. The bread is also good. When does carbohydrate not taste good? And the Mocktail was refreshing! Other than that, the service was pretty good. They promptly took our order, we waited for a little bit for the food, but then when the food came out, they all came out all at once and our party got to enjoy lunch together.
