When did IHOP become Hooters? My kid chose IHOP when I allowed him to pick a spot on our most recent vacation. I am cool with IHOPs so I didn't mind eating at this location. It was very busy upon entering but we were still greeted with a hello and shortly after led to a table. The service staff was very nice and seemed to do their best in the busy restaurant. The food was the same as you get at all IHOPs. The atmosphere here was a little more chaotic as there was a lady blowing up balloon animals and a lady selling "free" pictures of you. In the future I would eat here again but not get roped into a "free" photo. read more

Came here right after the strawberry festival in Garden Grove. It was obvious that this particular IHOP was frequented by tourist. There was a 5 to 10 minute wait well we sat we seen a balloon lady making animals for children. There was also a woman walking around taking photos of customers at there table. She finally reached our table we declined. Our server was Monica she was very pleasant and got our drinks for us immediately. We overlooked the menu and decided what each of us were going to eat. It has been many many years since I had stopped for breakfast at an IHOP. Let me explain why I gave this location three stars, and it has nothing to do with the quality of food nor the service nor the upkeep of the interior of the building it has to do with the pricing. Let me start off by saying I was cheerfully greeted and seated immediately and provided a menu and she did take my drink order, which was a large orange juice and I decided to order the ham and cheese omelette with hashbrowns and toast and this is probably my fault for not really looking at the pricing but when I got the final bill, it was a little over $30, which is insane in my opinion and you can see that from my receipt that I posted. $4.99 for two slices of toast, which is totally unacceptable pricing in my opinion and the toast was not even hot and they failed to bring me butter until I asked again. The omelette was a little bit overpriced in the same for the orange juice. But the inside of the building was very clean and well presented. The seating areas were clean. I had a little of all of them. One at a time. Blt was a little dry, not much mayo on it. Not much bacon either. One or two more slices of bacon would of made it much better. Ordered online on a Saturday night around 6:30 pm. Be careful online - there's Harbor Blvd locations and even though I could see this one from my hotel, iHop wanted me to order from the other. This location was more expensive to order online than the other (no $6 meals). I placed my order and walked over a few minutes early. They had it ready at the quoted time. Attending NAMM and got breakfast before the show. Fast seating. Pretty busy but it can't be because of the food. Ordered the steak and eggs. Menu said steak. 3 eggs and 3 pancakes. Almost passed on it because it didn't come with potatoes. Steak arrives with hash browns. Had I known it came with potatoes I would have asked for fries instead. I do not like hash browns. Steak was ringed in fat. Tough and hard to cut. I would not recommend this. Scrambled eggs were overcooked and basically crumbly. Coffee was awful. Had a coupon but forced to order $10 in drinks to use it so I ended up actually not saving anything with the coupon except it maybe working out to $5. This should be optional instead of just start doing it. Or skip the posing part. I didn't want to get up and move around and move my stuff to take photos at 8 am at ihop. The pancakes were good and my friend said their breakfast was basic but nothing special. Upon attempting to visit the restroom, the sewer smell was overwhelming and I couldn't go in there. That just meant Felix had to move faster, but he always kept his same positive attitude. He knows how to hustle. I ordered the spinach and mushroom omelette with pancakes. My meal was excellent, as expected. My friend tried the Big Steak omelette which was a big mistake for her belly! The staff kindly accommodated her substitution requests. The service and friendliness were great about this visit. They take pictures of you if you're interested you get a free one but it's small like a collage size. The others would need to be purchased if interested and they are $20 each photo. I'm guessing they take these photos because it's by the Disneyland resort. Really great service at this location! We used the Yelp waitlist which was a really great option and allowed us to be seated right away. It was a bit chaotic and busy when we arrived, so our server wasn't super quick to greet us. However as it died town she was much more attentive to our table. Absolute worst dining experience ever--like, the Twilight Zone of pancakes. First off, servers here are like Bigfoot--rumored to exist, but you'll never actually see one. I had to practically hunt down the cashier to get service, and I'm pretty sure I aged a year waiting. When they finally showed up, I half-expected them to say, 'Sorry, we forgot you were here.' Now, let's talk pancakes. $20 for four pancakes? That's not a meal, that's a scam. These pancakes better be blessed by the breakfast gods at that price, but nope--they're just regular, overpriced discs of disappointment. And, guess what? No combo either. Want some eggs? That'll cost you another arm and a leg. Oh, and the parking! It's like a video game set on 'impossible' mode. There's one way in and one way out, and good luck with that. If you don't want to perform a 12-point turn or play bumper cars with other frustrated customers, bring a bike--or better yet, don't come at all. I'm pretty sure my car lost a few years off its life just trying to leave. The cherry on top? When they bring you the bill, they circle the tip section like it's some kind of mandatory donation. I mean, they don't circle the service section because there wasn't any, but they are *very* clear on wanting that tip.
