If I could give a 0 I would! Worst experience ever! My family and I were traveling from WI to SC and stopped here to eat after a day at the Smokey Mountains. We hear starving and so excited to sit down and eat. The server was pleasant and the appetizers were fresh. However, it went down-hill from there. Our food took an hour, only 3 of 6 meals were cold, and then to top it off; they gave us 4 free brownies and icecream. Then, we had to wait 20 minutes for the desserts and then my daughter took a bite (while in the car) and there was a hair in the dessert. Gross! Worst place ever! read more

The service was fantastic. Our server Manon was very sweet and attentive. We had a party of 3 and for the most part the only complaint I have is my sirloin steak. I honestly couldn't chew it as it had gristle all through it. I definitely wouldn't recommend that again. But I do still love the restaurant and will go back. read more

I got the new NEW Bacon Cheddar Crispy Chicken Sandwich and added waffle fries I only got 6 fries and the chicken is a frozen patty it was gross and it was suppose to come with a bacon sauce never came with it had one tiny piece of lettuce and tomato a crap load of pickles and the cheese was that processed crap and bacon wasn't cooked fully!! ALSO WAITED 20mins Just for the waitress to pass us about 15 times before she even acknowledged us but she had to be told that we were here just to only get our order and bring us food and that's it!! I ordered the Shrimp & Parmesan Sirloin, which was great until I started noticing that one side of my steak was a lot more difficult to cut through than the other. Our waitress seemed to busy to keep an eye on our table. The Dr pepper tasted flat and our food wasn't the greatest the spinach dip was awful. Me and my hubby got bourbon chicken and shrimp it was dry no cheese on it and the mashed potatoes were cold that I got mine loaded and the cheese wouldn't even melt. I have always loved their oriental chicken salad. Ordered to go a few days ago and it was horrible! The fried chicken strips were very old so i dont know how long they were sitting around, very dry, mostly breading, not fresh at all, had an off putting taste. Salad greens not fresh or crunchy, hardly any almonds, even their oriental noodles didn't taste fresh or crunchy, so disappointing how quality of food has gone down, huge miss! read more

Our experience this last weekend was pleasant and would recommend this location to friends. Me and my girlfriend had the sampler with the honey sauce on the wings, it was hot and very good. Ordered 2 classic trio appetizers for curbside. Arrived and sat in the curbside spot a while but they never brought it out so I went in and picked it up. Left and as I was driving decided to make sure everything was in there and as I was checking I realized the spinach dips were both still cold, like straight out of the fridge type of cold. After inedible spinach dip we realized the cheese sticks weren't cooked either. It's like they were quickly dipped in a deep fryer but the cheese was still cold & solid inside like string cheese you'd give a kid out the fridge. Then moved on to the quesadillas and it was literally just a small portion of cheese in the quesadillas. Even my chips for the spinach dip were greasy and not crunchy.. the only edible thing in both trios were the 4 boneless wings.. Exit 44 off Rt40 was a horrible experience! 45 minute wait for a sandwich and a salad, the restaurant was 1/2 full! Our server tried using Covid as the reason for the delay, I thought it ended a year ago I replied? The manager finally brought our food and it was OK, I couldn't recommend this place and would warn anyone reading this to be prepared to wait a long time.... Lastly my wife and I used the bathrooms on the way out and they were disgusting! PS. Our server was very familiar with the menu and when I expressed interest in the oriental chicken salad she said it was her favorite. It was perfection, well presented and HUGE! This place should be closed. The service was absolutely horrible. I was traveling through and wanted to grab a bite with the family. We were sat right away and shorty greeted with menus. This is where anything positive stops. We ordered waters and after awhile they arrived. We placed our order and did not see our waitress again (despite the empty water glasses) until she was walking by with another tables food and informed us that our food was "sitting back there" and she'll get it soon. Another 5-10 minutes out comes our luke warm food. She then asked if we wanted more water. OUR GLASSES ARE EMPTY AND YOU JUST GAVE IS OUR FOOD! what do YOU think. She left and returned with a single cup of water that she divided among the 3 of us. Oh she's a smart one. She was bothered later when we asked for more water but out comes the rationing glass again. When asked I requested for a lot of pink in my burger. If you squint you can see some I believe. When compared To other Applebee's, this place is garbage with food prep. It took about 20 minutes to get our check and the dirty dishes were never cleared from the table. Will not return. read more

We will definitely never be eating here again. There are 8 servers on the floor with about 12 tables seated... approx. 30 minutes passed between our food arriving and the waitress coming back to the table. When she came back, she had the check printed already. Never checked on how the food was -- we both needed sauces. I'm shocked at how bad that service was. also, a month ago we ordered dessert from here via a delivery service and I am not exaggerating when I say that we somehow received a box with a tiny corner of the wrong dessert in it. I went for a long time without eating here. Just grew tired of it. So my mother and I ate there a couple weeks ago. It was really good! The service was amazing! Great experience. We had a bad day and after getting far away from the nightmare lunch that happens earlier. Will address at the end. The manager was the one who seated us and as he greeted us he was as polite and kind as he could be. The meal was perfect and our waitress was a pleasure. Wish we lived around her but always next time. After telling them about the nightmare we just left they brought us a dessert on the house and thanked us for letting them serve us. They were nice enough to let us take a picture. 5 star classy! To the other thing.... after spending the night at the casino we ate at a local spot called Paul's. Stay away worst service ever. I understand being a server and seeing your table not leave you anything. But when you come to the table with a attitude from the get go don't expect anyone to leave you anything. We came in to apple bees tonight, and our server, didn't catch her name. But she had long red hair. Well she came to the table, and you could just tell she had an attitude. I let it go, throughout our meal her attitude just got worse. So we used the tablet at our table to pay, and left nothing on the credit card tip. We were just gonna tip with cash. She came to the table and I asked for a to go box, she came back with our receipt and no box. I asked again and she completely disregarded my question. Another server walked by and I asked her for a box. I hear the server who was waiting our table say guess I'm not making no tips tonight really loud. So she was exactly right. I left her nothing. I refuse to tip someone whose attitude was horrible and is rude!!! read more

We visited the Ashville NC Applebee's on 9/30/23 at 5:22pm. Walked in door and was told they had no hostess, ok! That's fine just seat us and get menu! We stood there for 5 min before girl came back from talking to two men, I assume manager or something, she showed us a table and took our drink orders. Brought them back quickly and said our waitress would be by shortly. Well after 15 min. I flagged one down who if course wasn't ours but she would tell her. Asked for a refill on drinks. This took another 5 min. Finally took order and brought drinks. 30 min later we get food but no napkins, or silverware! Had to get up and ask for silverware! This is honestly the worst experience I have ever had at Applebee's and have eaten at many! To top it off food was cold when it got to table We go through Ashville NC alot but will never stop here again. Gives Applebee's a bad name!!! read more

Typically don't mind going to Applebee's. This particular Applebees is closer to me than Hendersonville location. The Host and the GM's Cowboy hat wearing son were awesome. The wait was extremely long for a 2 top table due to the fact the the food was coming out of the kitchen slow, I'll admit standing and waiting for a table while looking at several tables can be very frustrating. When we sat down there were dirty knives that in window seal. Our Server was really nice, ordered spinach dip and came out stale we sent it back. Kitchen compensated us with a discounted ticket and we're extremely nice. Towards the end of our meal the GMs cowboy hat wearing son actually came to check on us and it was a pleasant surprise. He's quite young he seemed very concerned. My experience wasn't that great with the food alone but the service definitely made up for it! This was the only option open on DoorDash and I placed my order an hour before they closed. My driver had to wait for my food at the restaurant, which is 5 minutes from my house. My food was COLD. I had to put the mozzarella sticks in the air fryer. I paid extra for sub cheese and bacon, which was missing on both burgers. One of my burgers was RAW, as in mushy and cold on the inside. I chose "NO PINK" option on menu. The fries of course were cold, but the buns were so soaked in grease they were WET. I know it's just Applebee's, but we ended up with no dinner. read more
