Village Pub is a great spot to gather with friends and catch up with a drink and a good meal. The menu is large, and I highly recommend the Village Burger! The bar has something for everyone. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy while being in a large place. There are indoor and outdoor options as well as a semi-private room for large group gatherings. A special shout-out to Faith! I attended a birthday party at Village Pub that had over 40 people. Faith took care of our party as well as other tables in the restaurant. She was friendly, efficient, helpful and simply the best. I was so impressed with how well she handled caring for so many people all with a smile on her face! read more

We had lunch today at the village pub. The beer was cold, the setting was awesome with the outdoor patio, and the bartender who took care of us was incredible. I've seen a lot of reviews talking smack on the bar food aspect of the restaurant but if you go in to the meal, not expecting filet mignon, I think you'll be pleased. The fries were fantastic. The burger was amazing. The buffalo chicken wrap was perfect and again the service more than made up for any kind of concern we would've had for the food. Highly recommend for people visiting Asheville. Especially those traveling as a family. read more

If you go for drinks, sports, pool, or darts, then Village Pub is fantastic. It's a surprisingly big space with a great selection of drinks, and so many television screens. If you go for food, you might be disappointed. Everything is essentially bar food (frozen then fried). I personally liked the French fries, but my wife couldn't eat hers because they were soggy and not warm enough. The chicken sandwich went mostly uneaten; the patty was small, it seemed like it was previously frozen, and "just didn't taste good". For me, the biggest offender was the corn chowder, which was I think a special of the day. The ingredients tasted canned, which for the most part was okay. But something was going on with the cheese in the chowder-- every bite I took had a half dozen strings of cheese dangling into the soup, and it's hard to describe, but it seemed odd and super unappetizing. I left most of it uneaten. If they had made the exact same items from fresh ingredients, it would've been so dang good. I should mention, our server was great. She was super friendly and helpful! She pointed us to the upstairs area, where we played pool and darts for like an hour while watching The Sound of Music on TV. It was great. So, we like Village Pub. I don't know if we'll go back for food, but it's definitely a good spot for drinks, sports on TV, and pool/darts. read more

Yesterday a friend and myself decided to try Village Pub because we were in the area and had seen reviews of the place. The minute we walked in, we felt an air of friendliness and a delightful atmosphere abounded. Service was prompt, but gave us plenty of time to review the menu. Lots of pub fare- burgers, wings, salads, sandwiches, etc. Because I'm a fan of fish and chips and they indicated that the fish was white fish, I decided to go for "Swannanoa Fish and Chip" plate. It came out looking plentiful, hot, and delicious tasting! The fish had just the right amount of seasoned batter, and the crunch was perfect! The chips were awesome tasting, fried to a tender crispness that was satisfying. It was a good choice. The only addition I'd add would be some coleslaw. I'd give this meal a great rating, as well as the service and atmosphere! I'll try it again, for sure! read more

This place really could knock it out of the park with top notch management and customer service! Too bad they are lacking in both areas! My fiancé and I went to grab a drink and nachos. We sat down at the bar for roughly 10 minutes with zero acknowledgment. We watched the bartender wait on everyone around us. He took new orders from customers that had been there as well as customers walking up to the bar. I had had enough when a guy walked in sat right beside me at the bar and was immediately acknowledged and asked by the bartender what he wanted. It wasn't until we got up to leave that the bartender said "hey guys I'm sorry." Well too late, there are plenty of other places in Asheville that deserve our business! read more

Great space if you're hanging out with a group of friends or co-workers. The long patio seating area and outdoor tables are especially good for that when the weather is nice. Decent draft beer selection (although heavy on IPAs). Food is pretty standard pub fare at average Asheville prices, but the fries are really good (coating is what makes them note worthy). Popped in here for an early lunch on a Saturday. Nobody was there so we sat outside. The weather was nice. Perused the menu and there wasn't a whole lot of food outside of bar food. Got the grilled chicken sandwich and it was inedible. The chicken had an awful consistency. It was almost like it was either old chicken or precooked and frozen, then thawed back out. It was a tiny sandwich with not many fries for $16. Certainly not worth that price. My parents got the fish and chips and it too was a very small portion for $16. I won't be back. read more

This is a great atmosphere and a beautiful place but the food is not very consistent. We have tried it three times and we're just not happy. The waitress was not very friendly but she could have had something going on in her life. I'm all about giving chances. People have bad days. Sometimes things go wrong. And I especially try to be patient since Helene. It's tough out there. I've been here before and had almost the same experience I had today. My wife and I walked once after being ignored when there were about 8 people in the joint. The servers appear completely disinterested in serving. Then, when I finally get a beer, it is immediately and grossly evident the lines haven't been cleaned in a while. There is no ambience, there is nothing redeeming. It's sad that what could be a great spot isn't. This place is not for me. I hope you have better luck. read more

We stayed in the Biltmore area of Asheville and found this outstanding sports bar just across the way from our hotel. TV's all over the place with multiple games going. The place is super clean, the service is excellent and the food is good. Standard bar food with a solid selection of craft beers. Highly recommended! read more

My daughter - paraplegic /wheelchair user - and I were visiting Asheville from Atlanta this past weekend and on Fri, 3/20/26, we went to eat at Village Pub. At just after 6pm, the restaurant was at about 50% capacity (max) both inside and on the patio. All of the tables are hightop tables with the exception of ONE standard height table. We waited just a few minutes at the Hostess stand before a man greeted us and when I told him we would need a standard height table he told us he only had high tops available. My daughter and I both pointed out we could see a standard table towards the back of the seating area that was empty and his exact words were, "I can't seat you there - that's a table for six." We were aware of that, however, as I mentioned, the restaurant was at best at 50% capacity. When I told him we would have to leave if we couldn't be seated there because the high tops were inaccessible, he didn't even hesitate before saying, with a shrug, "Okay - sorry." And, off we went. So, in spite of their website claim stating they are "Wheelchair Accessible" unless you're with a group of 6 OR you're okay with balancing a plate in your lap, you're not going to actually be able to eat there. Or drink, either, because the bar isn't accessible either. Can't comment on the food, drinks or service because we didn't have any. And, as petty as this may sound, I hope that six top stayed empty the rest of the night. read more

We desperately needed a sports pub in East Asheville and it has all your sports pub food favorites and more. Like wings, burgers, fries, Philly cheesesteaks, veggie dogs and burgers as a bonus too! I love the big u shaped bar and the garage style doors to open everything up to the patio area. Great indoor outdoor area. It's right across from French Broad brewing and down the street from Hillman and Catawba. There is a nice group of places to hop between if you want to hit multiple places. There is a space upstairs for events with an additional bar. It's fairly new and feels like they have worked out the majority of the kinks after being open for a few months now. The food is good and the bar service is quick. It is very open which feels great having the doors all open and having fresh air flowing through the space. If you're feeling a sports pub this place is the best spot for it on the east side. There was an unfortunate miscommunication to the staff, kitchen and management regarding an allergy. We were told one thing and it was sadly not true. I believe the staff is coming up to speed. I hope they stress this as a priority to get right as they become established. If it weren't for that I would have given 5 stars. read more

Another case of "should have looked this up on Yelp beforehand". Was headed nearby with a group of friends and decided to grab a pre-event drink. This place is absolutely gorgeous with ample parking. Upon arriving, we had to park in the back, which is a little bit of a walk, but I was grateful for the space. We noticed really delightful folk music being played on the patio. I love the wood tables and atmosphere in general. Simply a beautiful space. When we walked up to the bar, there were three bartenders working. All three of them noticed us along with another couple who sat down. Multiple of the bartenders caught our eye, and then immediately looked away. One of them even started stacking coasters in front of us and replacing napkins in front of us without as much as saying hello or please wait a moment. All of them were clearly ready to leave their shift and I didn't feel like dealing with anyone. We stood at the bar with only one other couple there and three bartenders for a total of seven minutes before we decided just to give up. The bartenders watched us walk away, but continued to say nothing. I am so sad to write this review because the food looks delicious and they had great drink options. Maybe with a new set of staff it would be worth another visit. read more

Our small group of ladies from Florida came in for snacks and drinks on a rainy Tuesday afternoon and the most amazing person, Dante, took excellent care of us. We encouraged him to tell the owner about opening a pub in Winter Garden, Florida and how much we NEED an establishment such as this in out Town. We had a wonderful trip to the area as we were staying at a friend's in Lake Lure for the week and just happened upon this after a shopping trip to the Tobacco Barn. In the mood for burgers? We were and so we decided to try Village Pub. Major plus that they have their own parking lot. The facility is large with seating upstairs, main level, and outside. It looked like they had a room off to the side as well. The bar seating is large but since it was a beautiful day, we sat outside. Although we had gone inside to ask for a table is was awhile before anyone came to our table. Our waitress was nice but not really attentive. We all got the Fairview Burger, it was done well and very tasty although I didn't notice any of the homemade dad sauce. The fries are very crunchy. Really great venue, I always order wings if their on the menu. Flavor was awesome. Wings were fresh and crispy. Beer selection was also great. Our server was very nice and took good care of us. My only complaint were the prices and the ranch. 10 wings: $17.90 Caesar salad:$11.90! Hot dog with relish, onion, ketchup and mustard: $10.90! Wow. You better have excellent food or in my opinion you're trying to compensate for something,,. Good ranch is 100% a must! I rate the ranch a 3 out of 10 Overall wonderful place. The breading was a bit much though. The salad was amazing, with fried chicken atop a treasure trove of veggies and a delicious lemon vinaigrette to finish. The place is a good size place, big glass garage doors opened at the front of the place, super nice. Not a lot of TV's, so I wouldn't consider it a sports bar, but I guess you could watch a game if you sat in the right spot. Guy playing electric guitar in the front area outside, he was pretty good too. The bartender was nice, asked if I wanted food, so I browsed at the menu, pretty decent selection. I had the Attack Dog (I was craving a hot dog) and holy molly was it good, and so were the fries (at $12, they should be) Hang around a little longer, not much of a crowd for 9pm, so I left. I worked at this establishment some months ago for a very brief period of time and wanted to share my experience. During one of my last shifts, I watched one of the staff members drop chicken wings on the ground, then simply picked it up, put it back in the basket, and served it. This wasn't a one-off accident--several of my co-workers saw it happen too, and no one on the staff did a thing about it. Basic food safety protocols are clearly nonexistent here. There was no acknowledgment, and certainly no effort to ensure customers weren't being served contaminated food. It's unacceptable, and incredibly irresponsible. Do yourself a favor and steer clear. This place clearly has no respect for its customers' health or experience. read more
