Have been to this restaurant a couple of times, for lunch. Service has always been great. Today, we ordered the mango iced tea. It was cool & refreshing, not overly sweet. We ordered the Pick two. Started with the mozzarella sticks, they came out hot and were perfect. We both ordered oriental salads, the serving size is large, and we could have split one as we both took home leftovers. Sis and I decided Applebee's was going to be our dinner. We were out and about, and wanted to beat the dinner rush. Parking available right by the front door, and we were greeted by a young man (his 3rd day!) and seated promptly. It was kind of dead because again, we were before the dinner rush. The young man warned us that there weren't many wait staff on duty but more would be in on about 15 mins. No worries. We weren't in a hurry and appreciated the transparency. The place was decorated for autumn. Lots of orange silk leaves, attached in garlands. Cutesy fall stuff. We met out waitress shortly afterwards and as we were waiting for our food and drinks, I noticed she worked her section well. She dealt with two booths of tired, whiny children with grace and ease. She welcomed new people as she was clearing another table. And she kept its informed on our tardy drinks. We ordered the monthly drink special... it was posted only on the door.... Vampire Punch! The manager had to look for the mix to make a new batch. It came out in a chilled mug, garnished with a cherry and plastic vampire fangs. Cute AND STRONG! Definitely worth the whopping dollar! $1 for alcohol! For the entree we ordered the 2 for $22, upgraded dishes to a platter for an extra $1 each. We started with salad. I had Cesar, Sis had the House. Hers looked a little more full than mine. But mine tasted so good and hit the spot. Moving on, I had the 6 oz. sirloin (MW), garlic mashed potatoes and garlic green beans. Sirloin was cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. No need for steak sauce. The garlic mashed potatoes... the best I've ever had. Green beans..eh, they were okay. They get cold quickly so the final bites were icky. Sis had the chicken fingers platter. I can't comment on how it tasted because I did not try it. Looked like your normal chicken fingers... breaded, not battered. Served with Cole slaw and French fries. Our waitress asked if the was room for dessert. I had the pleasure to inform her there was no stomach vacancy. Our meals left was pretty full. Paying the tab was easy with the table tablet. No need to flash down the waitress for the bill and then wait for the receipt to sign. Overall, a nice leisure late afternoon dinner. read more

The food I good but I do have to say the manager is a little rude to me and my friend and her brother who is 12. When we got in we asked for 2 adult menus and a kids menu and he said he couldn't give us one we told him that he was 12 and he said I don't believe that because he had like a little peach fuzz and I asked him how old he thought I was and he said 14 or 15 and I said no I am 19 and then I had to show him my id to get him to give us the kids menu. Haven't been here in a long time & now I know why. Ordered Mac & cheese with honey chicken. The title says nothing about bacon....you need to read the description. I think the chef thought he was doing a favor by adding tons of fake, very smoky, sodium laden bacon & it ruined the entire meal. The chicken was hard & cold. So, I went here with my daughter yesterday. I ordered the 3 cheese Mac with the honey pepper chicken strips. This dish comes with bacon on it and I don't eat pork, so I asked the server if the bacon can be removed because I don't eat pork. I told her that I was told the bacon is in the sauce as well and she assured me that it was just a topper and there is no bacon in the sauce. We debated on this and she was positive there was just bacon on top. So my dish comes and I begin eating it, then instantly I start to feel a sharp pain in my stomach and sick to my stomach as well. I looked at my dish and noticed there most definitely is bacon and it's all over the noodles as if it's in the sauce. So I called the server over to tell her, she goes to get the manager and he comes and tell me there most definitely is bacon in the sauce. Smh He let me order the same dish but with Alfredo sauce instead but by the time it came, I was over it and sick. He took the messed up dish off the bill and still charged me for the new dish lol. Only thing he didn't charge me for was the different sauce. I came home and instantly threw it all up and I've been sick since. Straight up disappointment. My wife's french onion soup was just a congealed glop of cheese on some very poor stock and her sandwich was overly salted. My chicken strips were below average at best. Ordered pickup through the app. Upon arriving home I found that I had no fries included with my cheeseburger. My friend ordered the oriental chicken salad and there was barely any salad dressing. The dressing cup was barely 1/3 of the way full for a full sized large salad. Last, for the cheeseburger I ordered, I had requested well done/no pink as I am pregnant and eating undercooked meat is associated with risks I am not willing to take. So. Where we live there isn't much to choose from. Unfortunately. So we come here. The server was very wonderful and apologetic. Problem- I order a 8 oz steak, well done, fully loaded potatoes and garlic green beans- my friend order the same thing but with fries- the server suggested the 2 for 22- cool We got 6 oz steaks- his was good. Mine was medium (blood on the plate) and no loaded potatoes- I sent it back. They gave us a free blonde to make up for it. Poor (or non-existent) Carside to Go service and unprofessional staff that make derogatory comments about guests that everyone in the restaurant can hear. I've ordered Carside To Go from this location in the past and I have had service problems. I ordered Carside to Go today, and per usual No one acknowledged me or came to the car. So I went into the Applebee's (as I've had to do before) and tell them I'm here and to get it myself. This is also why I don't pay in advance for Carside To Go- I will not tip for a service that is not provided for me. There were 4 female employees within my direct site, 3 of them were not actively working. The hostess told the bartender (who is named Samantha S.) that I was waiting and the bartender (who clearly didn't realize I was standing in the entrance) raised her voice, rolled her eyes and stated, "Ugh. She can shut up and wait!" There were people dining at the bar and bar tables that heard this and were now looking to see who the bartender was referring to. The hostess walked back to me and told me that I needed to go up to the bar and get it myself. So to further humiliate myself, I got to walk up there and pay and get my food in front of everyone. While 3 other employees watched and a man at the bar snickered. The attitude and derogatory comment of a bartender in an open area is the LAST thing I needed today- precisely 2 hours after finding out my grandmother is terminal. Thanks Applebee's, you sure know how to make a gal feel nice... and a big shout out to you, SAMANTHA, thank you for the compassionate service- next time, lower your voice and try to be professional. Thank you for making one of the worst days of my life even more unbearable. Bottom line: don't offer a service that you aren't able or willing to provide (Carside to Go). Underwhelming even for an Applebee's. Music was blasting overhead out of a ceiling speaker. My entree was worn out. Vegetables were not crisp and fresh, but limp. I tasted my wife's food as she said there was something wrong with it. I bit into it and it was sour; akin to the food being spoiled. Manager in a very wrinkled button up came to our table to discuss our concerns. He was very nice, but we had no interest in addressing our concerns. The damage was done. I go to Applebee's quite frequently. My experience at this one was one of the best. I normally go for their late night happy hour and Appetizers. At this particular Applebee's I was really impressed with the bartender. As a former bartender myself, I know how hard it is to serve bar drinks, serve the restaurant drinks, take bar food orders and still be personal. This guy was amazing! he seemed to know everyone at the Bar , was cracking jokes smiling and handling all his duties professionally. Really unfortunate service most of the time that we stop in/by quickly. In the past 10 visits we have had errors or issues with our food/orders probably 8 times. I'm responsible with our gluten-free requests and research options in advance and give specific and not-complicated instructions. Issues include errors on the order that led to being served allergens (the replacement order from car side to go was wrong when we picked it up as well), under cooked meat, cold entrees, missing appetizers and slow/poor service. I don't get this place...It was only a few months ago that I could call, talk with a real live person, order a steak and then someone would bring it out to my car with "Carside-to-go." Then it changed to an automated phone system where a "robot" answered the call and took the order--no human interaction with the customer. Ordering was easy, but when I went to pick up the food--No one came outside to deliver the meal. The last 3 times I had to go in and ask if the order was ready because I was still sitting in the parking lot, waiting, 10-15 minutes after the order was supposed to be ready and brought out to the car...All 3 times they sent me over to the bartender and he/she went and checked and came back with my semi-warm, soggy food. I thought I'd give this location one more try today, but when I called no one answered the phone...I listened to "elevator music" for about 5 minutes and then gave up. I've been to two other locations in MN and had bad experiences so I was hesitant to give this location a try. My husband and I came here on a Friday evening and we were greeted and got seated right away. It wasn't too busy with a few people at the bar. Our server, Charity, was amazing and continually checked up on us to make sure everything was good but she was not overbearing. Food was good and their new margaritas were actually amazing! My daughter and I went there for apps a few days ago, we waited 25mins for our apps (Sriracha shrimp, boneless wings,sweet potato fries, and spinach dip), everything was cold except for the spinach dip, (the 25 mins while were waiting for apps the waitress did not check up on us not one time), finally was able to flag the waitress down because someone else brought the apps out, we then talked to the manager, she had new apps coming, then waited another 35 mins for them to bring out the apps one by one 10 mins apart (not sure why)...they did not bring the sweet potato fries out at all...Super frustrated by this time, anyway we had to ask for water refills, 3 of the tables around us asked to speak to the managers, it was horrible!
