This was the perfect sports bar stop between games of our softball tournament. Spacious both inside and on the patio, lots of seating, and games such as Big Buck Hunter and pulltabs available. My crispy chicken ranch wrap was full of chicken, they did not skimp at all- full flavor. My daughters loved their meals of boneless teriyaki wings and chicken strips. This was my first time at Boulevard. I was a little skeptical with some of the recent negative reviews. I went out with a colleague for "happy hour". The service was decent and the waitress was attentive to everything going on at not only our table but the tables around us. I don't think anyone was ignored or had to wait an extensive amount of time. It looked like everyone working was trying to make sure everyone had what they needed without a terrible wait. We didn't have food, but from those around that had food, everyone was finishing their plates and appeared tasty! The drinks were good and the waitress was on top of refills as needed right away. Great service! With the weather, there weren't many on the patio, but the inside with folks was never too loud or overwhelming. I was impressed! Saturday out on the town with Sis a couple of weeks ago and we wanted to try some place new for lunch. The last time we were here it was Bamboo Betty's. Better parking lot now, with a patio, and of course, the inside is remodeled. No more DJ space or dancing floor. A long bar top when you walk in and booth/ table seating in the back. There are plenty of big TVS to watch sports wherever you look. Service was good. No complaints there. The best thing ordered was the deep-fried pickles. I was expecting traditional circles, but what actually came were long, thinly sliced pickles. They had the perfect ratio of crunchy breading and were addictive. Sour pickle, salty seasoning. Sis ordered the BLVD Big Mac. She liked it but could only eat half. Took the other half home and was not as good as leftovers. I ordered the Cheesy BBQ burger and was not impressed. It came with cheese curds, but they were breaded (gritty texture), not battered. The hamburger patty wasn't fresh like it stated on the menu. It tasted like a frozen patty I get from the grocery store and heated up on a George Foreman. The meat was densely packed like a by-product, very chewy with no flavor. Fresh hamburger should be tender and juicy. If we happen to come back here again, I'll likely order the fish fry. Seems to me that is what people here on YELP post about. read more

We went and had dinner on a night when kids eat free. Our server was great and friendly and our food came out fast. The burger and kids meal was great. Our chicken wings where large and had plenty of sauce but unfortunately when we bit into the second wings blood came out so we didn't finish those and recooked them when we came home. Honestly, this is a difficult place to review. On one hand, they seem to always have a 2-for-1 going on drinks (even calls!) and at decent prices! Some food items (wings, burger) are pretty good but other items (Philly cheese, other sandwiches) are just not. Service is random -- sometimes it takes FOREVER for food to come out and frequently it hits the table one plate at a time which is so annoying. Then other times its out quick. I guess the issue with eating here is just inconsistency. My advice, come for the double-drinks and eat if you need to read more

Visited here again for the second time. While the first time was good this time was pretty bad. From the service to the food. Walked in and did not get waited on for a long time, when we did we ordered wasters and a soda. The waitress just walked away like didn't say a word. All of their burgers are $8.95 - not sure if this changes if you make any changes/additions to them as we have always ordered them as they come. Comes with fries, fruit, etc. Two of us can get out of there for under 20 bucks on a Monday night if we are just having water. They have a good 2-for-1s happy hour. Friendly staff. We spent $90 on an appetizer and 5 meals--this is not worth the money, I'd rather eat fast food. This was a pick up order and our first time trying the food; we will never go back. Fish sandwich, cougar burger, cheeseburger, beef commercial sandwich, and French dip, appetizer of cheese curds. The burgers and fish were "meh" but the rest of it was horrible. Run, don't walk, away from this place when it comes to food. The taste is bland the meet is hard, the cheese was runny, the mashed potatoes were grey, it was just all-together a bad experience for food. I mentioned we did pick up the food...when placing the order that person was very nice and thorough about confirming the order was taken correctly. She was well informed with the knowledge of their menu, the specials and Happy Hour, as well as what happened with the old establishment and the up and coming renovations still taking place. The food was typical bar food, I had the fish sandwich which was okay. The fries were standard fries. The Sriracha Mayo was bomb! Loved that! The person I was with got a bacon cheese burger and fries. He loved them. The burger was huge, it looked to be a 1/2 pound burger. The waitress was too busy chatting to wait on us, had to flag down another employee to get a refill of iced tea, which when we did recieve had no ice or lemon added. There are uncharges for changing items (I chose a side salad, while my tator-tot loving partner had to have his favs). We have been wanting to try this place out for awhile. We like the CR Blvd (same owner) and were curious if this Blvd was as good. The inside is identical to the CR location. They also had some seating available outside. They had popcorn available as well (always a hit with my family!). The server was friendly. We both ordered burgers, as it is on the lunch menu. I asked for a hamburger with BBQ sauce on it and on the side, along with fried onions. Now, I could have ordered a different burger with more options, and asked for stuff to be held on the side, but thought it would be easiest to add stuff. Boy, was I wrong about that!!! It turned out I was charged 80 cents for EACH request. So, I was charged twice for BBQ sauce, (for on the burger and on the side) another 80 cents for an onion, and then 2.50 for onion rings. Good grief! I wish the server would have said each request would be extra. That being said, the burger and rings were good. However, I thought the up charges were a bit much. Altogether, my lunch meal was $18 (including pop and a tip). Frankly, that is too much for lunch. We will probably come back, but I will be asking before I make any requests if there will be an extra charge. read more

My family and I have been coming here for a couple of years, and have never had a complaint, and it is one of my wife's favorites. It is close to our house, and reasonably priced. The food is good, not great, but for the price, it's hard to beat. Tonight however, my wife and I went there for dinner, and to watch the Gopher/Buckeye basketball game. We arrived prior to game time by five to ten minutes before the game started (5:30 tip-off). At 5:45, we still had no one acknowledge our existence, even though the woman that was supposed to be our waitress passed our table at least 6 times, chatting with other customers, but ignoring us. Went here for dinner after recently going here for a gopher football game. We enjoyed the atmosphere and people. Came back for dinner tonight, 12-17, it was busy after the vikes game. Got seated right away, waitress came over, took our drink and food order in a timely manner. This bar has become a nice addition to the area, so much better than their predecessors! Plenty of family style dining and still maintaining a good size bar area. The patio area has been significantly improved too complete with concrete slabs and decent tables and chairs. Most drinks are two for one so remember that when ordering, large menu with a variety of choices. Even during the times this bar is still serving POPCORN! Now, that being said....I stood at the door for over 5 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence. Eventually the bartender came over, took some info for a Covid tracking thing they're doing (I like that) and said to sit anywhere. 5 min to sit anywhere.....anyway. She was over-worked but still had a bit of an attitude. I sat at my table for another nearly 10 minutes waiting for a menu or anyone to come to my table. Eventually the bartender took my drink order and tossed (literally tossed) me a menu. I eventually got a waitress, Jenna L., who was very attentive, nice and took care of me. This place does not follow any social distancing procedures at all but the staff does wear masks and they do offer outside seating if you want to sit in 25° temps. Summing up: food and drink=5 stars, service=3 stars and Covid precautions=3 stars. I do recommend but come when it's not busy. First time trying Boulevard after hearing many of our neighbors mention it as a favorite. Decided to stop in for a quick date night on a Saturday to try it. The food was good and definitely affordable. My husband got one of their burgers and fries which he loves. The cougar had great flavor and crispy fried onions. I had one of the platters with ribs & shrimp and it was very good. Ribs were fall off the bone and the shrimp was great. Drink specials were really cheap and they had karaoke that night which was highly entertaining. Service was good considering the bar was very busy. We will definitely be back! read more
