Soo, I had a softball tournament today, and still do this weekend. BUUTT the only she cared about my whole team was when it came to money and the bill. We had three servers and all three gave us bombastic side eyes. I gave one back because of how rude they were. We also waited forever just for DRINKS. LIKE WHAT. And it took forever for to even order food. Our apps came three hours later when we got our meals!! Thankfully we had time. But, do NOT get me started on the bathrooms. Me and my bestie went to the bathroom and had to weave through creeps like Chuck Norris and aliens. They smelled bad and clearly do not care for public health. I mean they were GROOOSSSS. And when we finally got our food I basically lost fifty pounds waiting. AND my SPAGHETTII was basically nothing! LET ME TELL YOU: THE FOOD HERE IS WORSE THAN THIS REVIEW. Ordered takeout. The woman that answered was kind and helpful. Got wings and salads. The wings were cooked perfectly and the price was reasonable. My husband got the Crispy Chicken salad and I got the Cobb. Their ranch dressing is delicious. I'll get extra next time. Picking up was relatively easy, once I figured out how to get in. It is set up a little weird on the outside, at least when it's your first time there and it's dark outside. Once I walked in, the inside is kinda neat with wood floors and beams. Seems like there's quite a few regulars in there and one woman (no working ) said come on in honey and helped me figure out where to get my food. It's a local place with great food. The staff really thinks they are something. The bartender Liz tells people she is an owner and so does a bouncer. They are extremely rude and obnoxious and don't would not recommend going there unless you want to be treated very poorly by employees posing as owners. Beyond insanity. We were playing pool and they come up and stated lying to us. Then they said something about The Moose. Don't know or care where that came from. Stellar service in a not-so-fancy but decent food & inexpensive liquor cowboy saloon! All-you-can-eat fish on Fridays year round. My always filled soda pop (fountain Pepsi products) was $3, while my dining companion enjoyed a 16oz tap beer (Pistachio Cream Ale) for $2. My husband and I were looking for a quick bite to eat. This place was close to both home and kids school. The inside is pretty neat, what you may expect. Service was really good, prompt and did not need any reminders. We ordered chicken wings for a starter. They were actually pretty good, until I found a hair in the dipping sauce. Altered the server and she quickly offered to take those off the bill. My Ruben was average, missing a bit flavor, husband got a spice burger. Was also average. The bartender that served us upon walking in was very friendly. The server covering the patio was remarkably less so. She was rather indifferent during the entire experience and didn't seem like she enjoyed serving us. My companion and myself would say "thank you" and other courtesies and she didn't ever respond. We ordered the steak bites as an appetizer. They were cooked very inconsistently. Some were very tender; others were chewy to the point of being inedible. The spicy ranch that came with them served as a nice way to add flavor--a slight amount of zip but not overbearingly so. We also ordered the tater tot nachos. These were much better. Lots of cheese melted to perfection... We also had a squirrel join us during our meal as a third companion. One of the regulars said he stops by quite often. Dark dingy dive bar large bar lots of locals, a few of them quite inebriated hoping they got a ride home as they stumbled out. Went for a date night and some bar bingo, worst bar bingo ever, we were there 2 hours and only got through half of the games and game winnings are small, average of $30 on a single person win. They play one game and then wait at least 5 minutes in between to do ticket sales, they say owner wants it this way thinking you will stay longer drunk and eat more, wrong, we just left at hand waY point. Food was not great, ordered chicken wing special for an appetizer, they forgot or missed the order after 30 minutes I asked where they were and they said they'll be out soon and they made them on the fly. I also ordered the blt which used to be my favorite, 1 pound of soggy limp jalapeño bacon with one tomato and one leaf of leaf lettuce = yuck, came with tater tots and a bag tie in them. I will say if you go on burger night in the past they did have really good burgers and really reasonably priced hourly that has not changed. This is a "regulars only" place. Avoid if you do not spend your paycheck here every week. Went out for dinner with my wife. The place was about half full even with COVID restrictions. Told we could seat ourselves. Found a table and waited, and waited, and waited. Finally after 10-15 minutes we were told by a waitress she would "be right back." We waited another 5 minutes, watched the tables next to us who arrived after us get service. Decided to leave after 20 minutes of no service. read more

Sure, it's bar food, but pretty good food served up quick. It seems like a local popular spot with different activities on different nights. Food & drinks are average, may have been better if they were served warm. Bar drinks are refilled 3 times faster then a glass of water that was ordered. Ok, I'm a local. One that usually prefers to head deeper into the cities for more hipster dinning fair but the kids were HANGRY and my oldest darling daughters beau mentioned $2 burgers on Wednesdays. (I had to check my calendar, I swear it was only Tuesday!) It was packed. Like having to apologize to all of the tables around us as we bumped into them just trying to get into our chairs. And it took awhile for the waitress to gracefully reach our table for drink orders. (Of course she served the two cute guys first that sat down AFTER we did!). I had an sudden odd craving for a White Russian. Sometimes I used to drink eons ago when I was younger. They made it surprising good. And strong. Which was another pleasant surprise for a local bar of this type. The way it looks in here, with its rustic cowboy saloon look, you'd think cheap beer would be their main alcohol specialty. It definitely made my wait for the waitress returning to take our food order much more pleasing. The kids? Not so much- they were still hangry. After downing the first White Russian, I happened to notice (I assume a regular attending local) get up and come back with one of those white and red checkered paper trays filled with popcorn. The mom of hungry children kicked in and I got up and wondered around the bar to locate the source. Past the pull tab counter, towards the patio was the rustic looking old fashion popcorn maker. With paper trays on top. And a waitress conveniently standing next to it at that moment for me to ask if it was self serve. Yes it is. And it happened to only have a few golden popped kernels left. But she said it was currently making more at this very moment. (Poor hangry kids only got a tease of popcorn. Good thing they had lots of ice cubes to chomp on.) Once the burgers where ordered, they came out at surprisingly fast rate. And they were really pretty good! They had a over a flame cooked taste and were cooked just right. I also ordere tater tot nachos. OMG! This is were I could get in trouble and end up coming back way too often! I'm a sucker for a good tot. And these were smothered with loads of good cheese- not the nasty plastic like nacho cheese but a mix of cheddar? Pepper jack? Not sure but it was a fantastic concoction of cheese, jalapeños, tomatoes, green onions- served with a side of salsa and sour cream. It was awesome! Now that I know about their strong drinks and tot nachos- I will be back. Winter is coming-local comfort food will be needed. read more

Unfortunately, I decided to give it another try. I ordered two drinks: a cocktail and a beer. The cocktail was in a dinky cup, and it definitely tasted like the booze was watered down. The beer, served in a regular-sized glass, wasn't even a full pour- about 2 inches from the top. Run your business as you see fit, but I'd rather have a competent bartender than "eye candy". read more

For a local dive bar this place is pretty good. They do have a good following of regulars, the ambiance is a little dark inside as there is not much natural light but decor is appropriate for the establishment. It is part restaurant and a large bar area but I am have no problem. bringing my family there for a sit down meal. Daily foods specials and happy hours are hard to beat, great prices, decent portion sizes and quality is good. My favorite item on the menu is the BLT that is complete with 1 pound of jalapeño bacon; mouth watering delicious and big enough to share. They do have dart boards and buck hunter for extra entertainment. read more

Great bar! Has a fun cowboy theme decor and good atmosphere for watching the game, hanging out with friends, playing pool or darts, or just grabbing a bite to eat. I've had UNBELIEVABLE customer service the past few times I've come and I can't say enough about how far that goes. We really like this place. But I'll cut to the chase. We went for lunch and drinks today and whenever the door to the smoking patio opened there was a strong Marijuana odor. Very strong. Not cool. There was one dad having lunch inside with his 2 little girls. I asked the bartender, who wore her mask like a chinstrap, if people were smoking pot and she said "I don't know, maybe"... What catches your eye when you walk in is that it is dark and dank...like a saloon. The 2nd thing that will catch everybody's eye is from 2 to 6 pm Mon thru Fri ALL Drinks (Alcohol) are $2 bucks...yes I said it ALL Drinks. My nachos plate was hot but the food on the plate was cold. The steak tasted like it was 3 days old. I've only ever been here on Tuesday night for their wing special. The deal can't be beat, $5 for 2lbs of wings. For that price you are expecting the worst wings you've ever had or at least wings so small you can barely see them (think Buffalo Wild Wings on wing Tuesday), however that is not the case here. The wings are a good size and all of the sauces are great. I prefer the traditional hot buffalo, but have tried the others and would not discourage any of them. The place itself reminds me if a slightly divey college bar, not really my type of place but the wings are worth it. I just wish you didn't have to eat them there, take out would be nice although I get why they don't allow it with the special. read more

This is the bar that replaced the firehouse. Its definitely been redone, casual with a western theme. The menu is typical bar food. I had a Cowboy blue. The flavor was good. The fries were average. It strikes me that this place is not only not bad, it's also not better than good. Service is very kind, but typically slow. Drinks are reasonable, but they never really pour a strong enough one. The atmosphere is casual, but you definitely shouldn't wear your personally held beliefs on your sleeve. It's the north suburbs, so I guess I knew what to expect when I started coming here, I just think I would rather run across the street to Bamboo Betty's, for some reason I just have more fun there, vs. more drunk here. read more

We live near here, but it was our first time at the restaurant. There was no host and the place was super busy. It was awkward to just try and seat ourselves somewhere, and we we're passed by 4 servers who didn't say a word to us to help us out. Once we found a table, it took a few minutes for a server to greet us, and she took our drink order but didn't give us menus. Once we got our food my wings, which we're on special, were good, but definitely we're over fried and too well done. I gave it 2 stars because the specials were good and the bingo staff was a fun group. Serving staff needs some help. read more

This is my favorite dive in the north!! I love this place. It has good drinks at good prices, pull tabs, darts, pool, games, a fireplace and a BLT with a pound of jalapeño bacon it! Best damn blt I've ever had! They do events and live music. The staff is so nice, especially Alyssa. I highly recommend this bar!! read more
