Not sure if this is normal at Applebee's but there were many screw ups on orders. Our server was fine but the food, once we got it, was mediocre and missing condiments or sauces. Cheesy decor, dark and drab...but what do you expect from this famous chain restaurant?? Where do they find all that stuff that they staple up on the walls? I went to Applebees for a business lunch last week and since i'm dieting, I ordered the grilled Tilapia with rice pilaf - It may have been the only thing on the menu that wasn't fried. Honestly...it tasted like dirt. The side of broccoli was full of pepper and more chewy than a stick of gum, so I left it alone. The rice pilaf was just ok. First we came here after walking out of another local restaurant. First walking up we were greeted as they opened the door for us. We were seated within a minute and they had a very large party there as already. Lisa was our server, she was fantastic, friendly and accommodating. Food was good, drinks were good. We have eaten here many times before and have been happy with our meal, but we were very disappointed this evening. Six of us arrived at 6:30 PM to celebrate a birthday dinner. We were seated quickly. The drinks came quickly, but the service from there was very slow to take our order and to get our food. The Onion soup was hot and tasty, but all of my food for the main meal was cold, as was one other in our party. I had the 6oz sirloin steak, which was cold and very chewy, with gristle running through the whole piece. My baked potato and broccoli were cold. The server did keep my lemonade refilled. Went to dinner last night on 10/7/18 and honestly was the best meal and service we have had in a VERY long time. My boyfriend and I ordered the Sirloin Steak dinner with your choice of salad and appetiser and you order your 2 sides with your steak for I believe $16.99 each meal. The salad was crisp and fresh. It is nice place to bring the large group. Nice appetiser and happy hour price. Fast. Taste ok. The atmosphere is festive I go again but it wouldn't be my first choice. Service is good when they are not busy. I think Applebee's in General is that way. Middle of the road convenience location. But I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. Placed an order for curb side pick-up, which I did twice last week as I am currently staying in a local hotel. It was to be ready at 8:52, I arrived at 8:50 and used their app to text that I was there. 9 still hadn't received the order so texted again that I was there, I was the only one waiting in their pick-up spots and the parking lot was not full. After waiting another 5 minutes I went inside and was told they did not take food out to cars after dark! I asked when that had started and they said it had always been that way for safety reasons . . . I told her that they had delivered food to my car twice last week and she lied again insisting that didn't happen! I asked why they didn't indicate that on the website if that was the policy and she just shrugged and said she didn't know and that wasn't her job - priceless :(. Since they had my phone number/email from the app why didn't they let me know when I sent the text that I was there? How long do they let people sit there while their food gets cold before sending a simple text or making a call? When finally someone brought my cold food I asked her and she admitted that sometimes they do take food out to the cars and sometimes they don't and simple shrugged. It's Applebee's. Our server was friendly and checked in on us multiple times, and the cocktails were perfect. My steak was cooked medium like I asked for. We went here last night Feburary 1st, to try their 'Monday Burger' for the first time since we always go to Red Robin. We should have checked Yelp first and we could have prevented wasting $16.98 for 2 burgers without drinks. Asian waitress with black glasses asked us if we want pink or not, we said pink for both patties. Not that we care but, the patty tasted like old oil and is 90% burnt. The waitress barely asked us how's our food, even the manager wearing a white long sleeve, skipped our booth and asked the couple after us how's their food. The only thing it has going for them is that they are open later than most restaurants in Bothell on a weeknight if you want a drink after 10 PM. But even then, not really worth it. Without looking at a menu, I ordered a perfect Manhattan. I know, I know, who orders a Manhattan in Applebee's and expects something awesome? First of all, the glass was only half full. Whaaaa? Even my non-drinking friend asked me if I ordered a half drink! I figured out later that they were attempting to give me the happy hour special which really is just one shot, but it was so confusing. Could have been so easy to say: "Would you like that as a double? The happy hour price is for a single shot and a normal size (what you're probably used to) is a double." Would have saved me the disappointment and given them an upsell at the same time, BUT STILL. It would have been $11 for a shaken-to-death-and-subsequently-watered-down Manhattan when, at least until 10 PM, you can get a $10 Maker's Manhattan (not-watered-down-and-appropriately-boozy) at Bonefish. I tried to move on to the Sangria and got a glass full of ice and more juice than wine. Really, what did I expect? Yuck. I've been to this location twice, and it's a place to avoid. The first time we went, we were seated for at least 10 minutes before someone even took our drink order. The manager apologized, saying it was shift change. Clearly, they need a better process for how to handle tables that are seated when servers are clocking out and clocking in! Most recently, we got takeout. I ordered their famous Asian Chicken Salad. Only the salad was dry. And there was no dressing included. By the time I opened it, though, I was too hungry to drive back to the restaurant to make them fix my dish. I left feedback via the survey on my receipt, but they never followed up with me. Again, they need better processes for ensuring takeout orders are complete and accurate. Sloppy management, in my book. I get that it's just Applebee's and I shouldn't expect much, but I really think that customers at least deserve service and salad dressing! No biggie, there are plenty of better places nearby that I would prefer to frequent. read more

But the Applebees here I like , mind you that I have only eaten in bar because bartenders rule . The food was yummy and drinks more so . The bar staff was great and friendly . We went here with a friend a few days ago after a movie, we had appetizers and drinks on our mind! They were really cool about seating us, we got really good customer service, the app machine on the table is kind of cool but I really like the amount of customer service we still got directly. We ended up getting a couple of appetizers, a couple of drinks and a couple of desserts! The appetizers were really good, job well done in the kitchen. We got some kind of tacos that were crispy sweet and fresh. We also got their artichoke dip which was very creamy and warm and delicious. We come here for happy hour pretty often. HH Long Islands never disappoint, staff is good, but the food quality is inconsistent. Going on just this visit, my friend treated me to dinner of the 2 course for $20 special. We shared the spinach artichoke dip appetizer then both ordered Cajun chicken penne. The dip was best we ever had! Lots of spinach & artichoke & not all cheese. My friend loved the pasta more than I did. She loved the huge portion & loads of cheese in the sauce. Also, chicken portion was very small, but lots of fresh spinach. I'm more health conscience so all that sauce & cheese was too much. It would be nice if a couple Weight Watchers menu items was an option on the special, but it's not. Portion was so big that I only ate 1/4 of it & gave the rest to my friend to take home. I love this restaurant! I come In with a big group of people (15-25) almost every single Sunday night!! Service is great everyone is friendly and deals with our group very well. The food comes out fast and is always very good! I always get boneless honey barbecue wings with blue cheese dipping sauce!! My recent experience during lunch was somewhat disappointed. I thought overall quality of food was lower quality. We were greeted at the gate and seated quickly. Service was prompt since there were hardly any people during Monday's lunch. Me and my colleague ordered combo deals that consist of steak and salad. After eating some of my salad I realized, there are bacon bits in them. I think I should have asked but I absolutely don't like bacon and also cheese on my salad. Overall salad leaf were dry and seems it had been outside for a while. Cucumbers were soggy like they have been frozen or about to go bad. We ordered steaks with medium rare but came out to be well- done and salty. Vegetables and mashed potatoes were very average. the place is conveniently located but its very disappointing. I have two bad experience. First time we went there, we ordered drinks. The first drinks was ok. the second time the drink was wrong. The waitress took it back and replaced with the right one so we were good till we recived the bill. It charged us for the replaced drinks and the manager told us that we were drunked so couln'd keep the count. Thinking that it was one isolated incident, I went with my wife there this week end. *warning* this review is by a seasoned server so maybe I'm slightly biased but the service was some of the worst I've ever experienced. The food was lousy but I knew that before I walked in. Appetizers and drinks were decent but we're overpowered by the attitude of the server. She rudely greeted our party of 4 by asking if "this is all at my 6 table booth." She threw a fit when my 10 year old nephew wanted strawberry lemonade instead of regular. We ordered two apps and one entree that took forever. When the appetizer came out wrong she left the food in front of us and threw ANOTHER fit when she came back 10 minutes later and the food was gone.
