This is my favorite Applebees, staff are friendly and service is pretty quick. The pricing is pretty fair and the menu has some variety to it. The lunch menu seems to have the best deals. All in all it is a pretty good restaurant. read more

It's been AGES since I've been to an Applebees. We were in the area though and chose to come here because there are not a lot of options to choose from. We ordered a steak, medium rare, and the steak came out medium well. Under normal circumstances I would not have sent this steak back (would not have ordered a steak from this type of place in the first place), but it was dry as a bone and kind of gross ... so we sent it back. The manager and server were very apologetic, and the manager brought out the next steak to watch us cut it open. It was medium well, again, but it was juicier so we said we would eat it anyway. The manager apologized again for the steak not being medium well, which was nice, and then the server came over and offered us free dessert (brownie bites) to apologize. It was a nice gesture but the vanilla ice cream tasted old (freezer burned even) and when we got our bill they charged us for 2 birthday desserts ($3.98 total) and subtracted only $3 from the bill ... so they charged us a dollar for something that was supposed to be an apology. Bright spots were the service (4 stars, the waitress was a little unattentive and they weren't that busy ... the manager did pretty well trying to handle the steak situation) and the thai tacos (I think that's what they were called, some type of non-traditional taco appetizer) they were delicious. Unfortunately the food situation was bad enough that I had to subtract two stars, and the fact that we ended up paying a dollar for our apology dessert which was not so good was also minus a star. I won't be heading into an Applebees again any time soon. read more

Visited Bourbonais/Bradley for lunch with mom. We decided on giving Applebee's a try. In fact, this was probably my second time eating at this chain. My mom ordered a southwestern chicken salad, while i decided to go for the cajun tilapia. They might have confused the dishes :). The Southwestern salad was spicier than the Cajun dish. Someone from the state of LA might get offended by this, lol. The service was friendly and extremely fast, especially considering the fact that the place was packed for lunch. This might tell you something about the popularity in general among locals. All in all, a pleasant place for lunch after a drive through the open fields of illinois, which I also enjoyed very much. read more

I really enjoy the food and the servers definitely do what they can to get your meal exactly the way you want it. Today there is a new dish on the menu, Crispy Brewhouse Chicken, so I will change from my regular meal and try this. read more

Had the 2 for 20 with Chicken Penne and Chips n Spinach dip. Great service and food. We come here at least twice a month and its a nice, clean, and friendly restaurant. One gripe....next time waitress, bring a spoon when a person orders a ice tea. (Only a fork and knife are given). read more

Very bad service. Dropped off the food and only came back to check on us when someone else told her to. Steak was cook wrong. Waited and finally ate it after waiting for a few minutes. Manager never walked by the table. read more

Sam was our waitress. The food at Applebee's is disgusting, not poorly prepared, just gross recipes. I'm always pretty complicated when ordering at a restaurant, being that I'm vegetarian, but Sam kept a smile the whole time and never seemed irritated or put out. I'm giving 5 stars for the service, NOT the food. read more

Bad from go. Our orders were not correct I ordered my steak med and it was well done at the skinny end and raw at the other end. My sister asked for lettuce only with dressing and she got all the junk on it. My food was not hot. My drink was to sweet so I asked for coffee instead and got charged for it. For 3 of us it was over $80. I will go to Red Lobster if I want to pay that much. First time and last time. read more

The car side to go service has a lot to be desired. I've attempted to use this convenient service several times....thinking maybe they were just having a bad day. On all occasions, I've had to either walk in and get my food or call the phone number and ask them to bring my food to the curb. read more

Always a hit or miss but most of the time it's a miss. I'm not sure why I keep going there but I do/did. I haven't went back since August. That was the worst it's ever been. The steak is ALWAYS dry and over cooked. The mashed potatoes are always cold. The service sucks too, I once waited 20 minutes just to get my drinks. Save your time and go somewhere else. read more

I personally like Applebees. It is not busy ever it seems. The only complaint is they were not very fast with the food.... and they could not get the order right at all. Good god I knew there was a reason I never come here. This represents every thing the restaurant experience should not be. The table was sticky with little crumbs or salt. For thise if you who know me....thus royally ticks me off. The worst bands of the 80's were blasting on the overhead. I mean nightclub loud. From obscure crap to taylor swift to Stevie Nicks to Creed. The dozen or so televisions were all showing bull fighting of all things. Lively to see a bull tortured, humiliated and stabbed with several swords with flags tied into them....then see an overpriced tiny steak served next to me. The food is bar food with crap all over it. You cant get a norrmal handburger here. Very low quality ingredients. The ice cream served for dessert was a lower quality than a feneric walmart brand. We got the wrong dessert. The cake was like paste...half baked. That is what I think of this place. Over priced and half baked. Anyone who likes this place....I mean someone who actually chooses this place rather than gets forced to come here....damn. read more

Went here with my wife for dinner one night. What a mistake. Sure everyone has bad days. Just don't take it out on a customer. A little known secret is that I tip really well. Not to this person. We sat at the bar and it took forever to even get our first drinks. Then the bar tender seemed like we were inconvenienceing him. All we wanted was an appetizer at that point. We knew how the rest of our visit was going to be. Food took forever to get and again the bartender was extremely rude and just had a lack of motivatation. My wife got upset and asked to leave. So we did and still got treated like crap after asking for our check. I told my wife I was going to ask to see manager but she was so upset she wanted to leave. I decided to call once in the car. The manager apologized and everything and asked for my adress to send coupons for our bad experience. Well guess what? Another failure on their part, never received and coupons or anything. Never got back and never telling anyone to go there. 1 satisfied customer tell 1 person about their good service anything nd food, 1 mad customer tells the whole world!! read more
