If you're thinking of coming here on a Friday or Saturday evening, think again. You will be waiting 30 min for a table and then when you finally get a seat you will be waiting FOREVER. My fiance and I timed it, it took 23 minutes to get a refill on our drinks. The food was terrible and there is a problem when they offer desert to you and you haven't even gotten your dinner yet. We sat down at 6 and didn't receive our appetizers till 7 and that was after one of us got up and told the manager. It took them more than 10 minutes to refill my water. Such bad and slow service but at least the food is good. I would have liked my medium rare steak an actual medium rare not medium well. And my salad was placed very weirdly on my plate, only half of the plate was filled. I also asked for regular fries as my side but got garlic fries. This place was PACKED! Really? At Applebee's? We went only because someone gave us a free $30 card to use (otherwise we wouldn't go). The only reason I gave them an extra star is bcz I liked the friendly environment only. I ordered the steak and potatoes off the 2 for $20 menu and I chose apple sauce as a side (what can I say, I love apple sauce). They brought my food out and the steak looked very plain and unappealing, the apple sauce was in a motts cup (like the ones u get at the supermarket) not even in a small bowl on the side like I expected *very tacky* and MY DAMN MASHED POTATOES HAD A PLASTIC BAG COMING OUT OF IT!!! Which I found out is bcz the servings are pre-proportioned...omg, wow! The waiter who I thought I was giving a tip, laughed. Soooo very disappointed in this place. So, I went back (cz its damn near the only thing to eat around here, I'm from a big city in another state an not used to having to hunt deserted towns for resturaunts) and I got something different to go. I got the lime chicken pasta thing off the 2 for 20, and it was ok...but what bummed me out was when I ended up having to travel to Oak Harbor and I visited the Applebees there and got the same dish, it was 10x better! The clubhouse sandwich is awesome. Service is ok for an Applebee's but Zack was the show stopper. He greeted us with the door open and was super entertaining throughout our lunch. So unless I'm going crazy, some Applebee's have different menus. This particular location has Potato Skins, unlike a couple other ones I've visited at one time or another. Service this time was substandard. With the time that it took for me to get my french onion soup, they could have run out to the field..picked the onions..taken a leisurely drive back and sang together as they cleaned them and prepped them for carmelization...also baked the bread....sliced it...milked the cow ... processed the cheese...aged it...and made the soup. I had ordered my potato skins with extra bacon because, in the past, it looked like the prep line waived the bacon over the top of them and a few crumbs fell into the skins. So in my desire to get a standard order of potato skins...I asked for extra bacon...and they still came out with minimal bacon arranged in a bit of a slap dash manner. I asked the server to bring out more bacon bits, and she did...with a bit of "oh really" tone in her voice.... The wings were right on target. The thing that saved this visit is I was with one of my best friends...and we all know how besties make the worst situations okay...right? read more

My husband and I came in for dinner our waitress Autumn was very sweet, but we were very upset at the fact an off duty employee brought her little girls in and allowed them to run around, scream and talk to people at different tables, I wish I was done but no, she allow her kids to color on the windows and bug people while they were eating all the while she is on her phone paying no attention to her kids.... not a good experience aside from our sweet waitress! read more

I am so so disappointed in this restaurant. Purely unprofessional in my opinion and the food is awful. I had whatever the meal deal was they were offering a salad,an appetizer and then an entree. The salad was delivered with no spring mix or croutons(which was on the menu that it came with) said something to the girl who brought out the salads(not the waitress) she said she would check to see that the problem was and never returned. Also asked for silverware for my granddaughter and that was never brought to me, had to get up and get it myself. Then when I got to the last few bites of my steak i found a hair. When the waitress returned, I let her know and she said she would let the manager know. He took forever to come out and when he did he did comp me my meal but he also caused a friend of mine to get fired from her job due to my complaining. Never once had a bad experience at this location. The food was always good (maybe not always excellent) the wait staff is very very friendly and helpful, and even when they were busy I never had a long wait. I've been to this Applebee's too many times to count and will continue to come back. Those pub pretzels! read more

Another corporate burger joint with to many T.V.s, If a person really wanted to watch T.V. that bad they would be better off at home in true comfort? Centering a restaurant around 12 T.V.'s seams like a cop out. The menu is beyond small, the kids menu is even worse. If your into the actual food instead of the the T.V.'s I guess utterly boring is the word that comes to mind,. $2.39 for a cup of coffee, and $2.59 for a Pepsi. Just seams like all these corporate joints are kind of passe at this point in time? -oh yes, one thing I am getting tired of with these places is the penny pinching with the napkins , would it be to much to ask to have a napkin holder on the table? First time in an Applebee's and was pretty disappointed. The atmosphere in there was so awkward. Dark interior but the natural lighting contrasted awfully. You could just about see everyone anywhere you sat, which IMO isn't a good thing. I'm just someone who likes privacy when I eat. The food wasn't bad I suppose. On Tuesday night my wife and I went to Applebees as we do several times a month we usually sit at the bar and always get great service as we were waiting for our food a woman set to the left of me at the bar shortly afterwards a gentleman came out and told the woman she cannot sit at the bar this was heard by all customers in the area I thought he was kidding he then told the bartender she knows the policy and her mother may not sit at the bar he then refuse to let her serve or speak to this woman in anyway I learned it was her mother and they have a policy family and friends may not sit at the bar if they know the bartender okay policy is policy I get that but what ruined my experience there was watching a manager embarrass a customer and embarrassed and employee in front of all the customers I also manage people and would never embarrassed and employee in front of other employees and especially in front of customers I found this to be very unprofessional the mother was embarrassed the employee was embarrassed and I was embarrassed for both of them I think for now on I will choose to spend my money at other restaurants were managers are more professional and three people with more respect and dignity I think I now understand why the employee turnover rate is so high at Applebees read more

I went to this Applebee's because my fiance and his family told me that the food was great and that I would like it. We got there and got seated right away, but infront of the door when we asked to sit towards the back (because we were cold and didn't want to be by the door because of the wind outside blowing in). We got settled in and began to order drinks from our waitress. She then was off and brought our drinks back after 15 minutes of waiting. Then took our orders and proceeded to go off again. She brought us our salad's, or lack there of. My salad was a combination of possibly 6 leafs of lettuce and three cucumbers with crutons on it and a dab of ranch dressing. Not a salad I would expect, considering the size of the plate it came on. Then yet again, our waitress left and didn't come back until 45 minutes after our salads with our food. The food was HORRIBLE. My cheese stuffed meatballs and pasta was luke-warm/cold and hardly edible (sp?). My fiance's burger was cooked to a hard black and the buns were burned to a crisp. My in-laws pasta was overcooked and had no sauce, only cheese. Then our friend's fajitahs (sp?) were like rubber and they couldn't even cut them with a steak knife! When they brought the food my friend Ken asked for a beer, 15 minutes after we had decided that the food we had recieved was not edible, she came back and said the "beer is on the way" and he told her "you can send it right back, I am done" With that, she apologized and told us that the bartender was new and learning how to mix drinks correctly (but with beer on tap, who really needs to learn how to 'mix' it?) Overall, it is safe to say we will NOT return. Although, the manager did help out a little and took off the price for the meatballs along with the fajitahs. But our bill was still 70$! I go to this restaurant because my daughters really like it. The last three times visiting they have provided me with the worst service I have had. They take a long time to take your order, when trying to request a refill you have to wave your waiter down because they will just walk right by you and ignore the fact that you are running low. But I did carside to go, they said it would be ready in 10 minutes, got there after 10 minutes and waited in my car for about 7-8 minutes before I decided to go in to pick it up, where I waited another 5 minutes. I've been to this Applebee's a few times mainly because relatives wanted to meet there. The food isn't as good here as at other Applebees. On one occasion I ordered the riblets and they were totally dried out, like eating really bad jerky, nothing like what the picture showed. The next time I was there I orderd the ribs and they were also dried out. I complained to the waiter and he just said "Oh" but didn't offer to replace them or not charge me for them. I gave this place a 2 star because the food we got was good. BUT when we asked for our bill the waiter took forever to come and get the payment and he seen how much we were giving him. He shook his head and laughed then snatched the receipt and money out of my hand. And then I totally remembered this dude had done this to us before, because he didn't see his tip in the payment so he went back to the other waiters and started shaking his head and glaring at us. Probably the worst service I've ever had. Came in with my family at 2 in the afternoon and not one of the 3 servers who walked by continuously even acknowledged us or said "hey I'll be right there" for 20 minutes. I work in the service industry and because I know how it gets when you are busy I'm cutting our server a little slack but 20 minutes is NOT ACCEPTABLE at 2 in the afternoon when you aren't busy. What happened to teamwork? Why couldn't one of the other 2 servers who walked by 10 times help our server out? One of them kept flirting with her boyfriend 2 tables away instead noticing her co worker needed some help. Then our server apologizes after we asked to host TWICE to get our server, and that's all she did. The MANAGER dropped off our drinks and didn't acknowledge how upset we were. Didn't apologize, didn't offer dessert, didn't discount ANYTHING. I mean what kind of restaurant is this? It's no wonder you get 2 stars. Should've checked that before we came in. My father in law being the generous man he is still tipped 18 percent but if this had happened at restaurant I work at, or ANY one for that matter, didn't even deserve a tip. You don't let your table sit for 20 minutes and not acknowledge them even once ESPECIALLY with kids and do nothing about it. Poor service, poor management. No customer should have to fight for decent service. You should know how to do your job and present it. Also might I mention that I usually give the benefit of the doubt, this is my FIRST ever Yelp review. Wow, weekday, off times, and not even close to being crowded. The hostess was pleasant and seated us right away. The waiter took a while to come around and we were definately ready with our drink order. One thing very notable is that he never brought any water to our table. The one other table with people sitting there seemed to wait for a while for their check as well. After a longer than usual wait our drinks came out. Strangely enough, my daughter did not receive a straw with her frozen lemonade. The waiter said he would bring one out in just a sec....then took our food order. Our appetizers came and he actually walked past our table with it, and about two booths down finally realized it and turned around. Mind you, by that time, we were the only table in his section. He placed the appetizers on the table, noted the missing straw again and told us not to worry, he'd be right back. Suffice it to say, I took the straw from my drink and gave it to her, although neither drink was really designed to drink straight from the glass. At that point a party of eight was being seated in the section with us, and it seemed to causd a tiny bit of flustered nerves or something. One of the cooks from the kitchen brought our food out to us, and noted the very tiny pile of fries on my dish. She stated that a fresh batch was being cooked up and she would bring a small basket within the next few minutes. Well, that never materialized. The next time we saw our waiter was when he dropped off the check, not even asking if we were finished. He had his hands full with the party of eight, as did about three people who ended up helping him with that table. Even then I saw them repeatedly flagging down other folks asking for items. I paid the bill and waited for him to return with my receipt, my daughter and I waited but he never reappeared, so we finally just left. It was a unique experience, I can say that much. Yet, I am in absolutely no hurry to repeat it, if ever. I've had shabby service in the past, but this one makes the top five of that short list. read more
