Ever since that day, I have loved beef sandwiches because I moved from Georgia and it never had one I had never heard of a Chicago hot dog. Well for 30 years, I wish for a Portillo's in any of the cities I lived in. They finally started expanding and opened one in fishers Indiana. I was so excited the first six months or so it was fantastic. I'm sure a money making grubby greedy manager got in there and started cutting payroll and trying to reduce food costs. The Portillo's I knew and loved disappeared. Beef sandwiches were paltry hotdog. Dogs are being used in the morning from the previous night. It was horrible yet every time I went and had a bad experience I complained and lo and behold they would send me gift cards. I just recently moved to Orlando back from Indiana. That's a long story. I came in just last night to the airport and thought Portillo should be open and should have fairly fresh food since it's only 830. The kiosk thing was kind of hard to operate so I went straight to the counter. I ordered a big beef dipped and of course I had to open my big mouth and talk to the manager and tell them that I ate it the first Portillo's blah blah blah like these guys even care. I said I know what it's supposed to be like so make a good one dip it baby. And then, of course I added a Chicago dog for dessert. The staff at the store seemed happy. They were talking while working and it seemed pretty upbeat. My number got called. I got my package and I sat down. I ate the Chicago dog first, and I had to tell you I noticed that the wieners they're using do not have the flavor of the former Vienna, beef dogs. The flavor of the dog was about half of what I remember. Yet the Chicago dog is prepared perfectly and the wiener itself was hot and plump cold veggies, tomatoes proper mat, celery, salt I would grade it a nine out of 10. Then came the big boy. From the minute, I checked the package and started opening the plastic bag and then the wrapper this thing weighed like a pound. It was hefty. It was hot. It was wet. After peeling away the layers of plastic and cellophane there she was just a staring at me singing do wa Diddy.... Could've probably use a little more hot peppers since they charge $.99 now but you know let's try it. Lo and behold it was just like a 1979 beef sandwich from North Avenue. It was great. It was fantastic. I wish I could've eaten three but one was sufficient. This is the first positive review I have given Portillo's in probably 10 years. I don't know if it was a fluke. I don't know if they realize food portions are important. I don't know what the deal is and I don't care. All I know is it this store made that sandwich and that hotdog to the standard I've known hundreds of times living in the Chicago area. Somebody must've gotten hired or transferred to teach people the Portillo's way. I'm a very happy customer. Kudos to the young man who prepared it. Kudos to the man who trained the young man. Kudos to the manager, who has staff being happy while working. And I will definitely try Portillo's in Orlando my new again home as soon as I get back. I might even go to Fisher today just to see what the deal is and verify that things have finally changed. Good job. Now start cleaning got time to lean. You got time to clean! Being connected to Chicago in a very round about way makes me smile when it comes to food when many…read moreplaces just feel like a home cooked meal. I understand Portillo's is one of those fast food joints anyone is magnetized too be it for a birthday cake shake, Italian beef or even a Chicago dog. We weren't looked specifically for a Portillo's but since one just happened to pop up while driving through Avon we said sure, why not! This location is just like all the other ones. Super consistent with the general feel and the staff also did a great job welcoming us there. After grabbing an Italian beef to take a trip down memory lane, it was devoured quickly while enjoying a soda and fries. Highly recommend this location. Whether going through the drive thru or eating there the food will leave you happy.

Was so pleased this morning with the employees. Specifically, Who I believe was a manger. She was a…read moresuper pretty blonde girl with clear glasses. I had so many issues with the app this morning. First, it wouldn't take my verification code and made me wait for 30 minutes. I had to go to work an hour later, so I didn't have a lot of time to waste on the app. Then, once I drove there, it was telling me the app was having problems. So, I gave up and just asked if they were able to look up my rewards at all. She helped me and made it work. I don't come to chic fil a, as much as I used to, and I wasn't going to come back if I didn't get the reward, because it was a little wild. However, she changed my perception. Such a great team! Sidenote, the food and coffee were great!

He literally can't have caffeine- it's not a preference it's a legit medical issue and she did not apologize, she was not phased in the least. I watched the hostess/ cashier as she interacted with an older lady trying to get seated. I noticed how unhappy, joyless the teammember was. I never said a word and at the same time my husband blurted out how unhappy she lloked... so it wasn't just me. The staff look like they hate their job and probably hate life too. Someone should tell them if they don't want to be here get another job. If they can't or won't, don't strive to try to make everyone else's life miserable because you have no joy. It's not our fault don't take it put on us. Why didn't I call management? Because I can tell by their staff they don't care. Not if I call and complain, not if I write this review. I read the response and highly doubt anything was said and no I will not waste me time coming back. You did not even make an effort to conat t me or have me contact you, so like I assumed, I don't think they care. It like their attitude is, this is just Dennys, so low expectations or no expectations... The food was decent, that is the only reason they got 2 stars. If you order for pickup... you might be OK, but I don't know how the pick up service is. Even the cashier never said Anything positive or pleasant... which BTW don't know if society and especially young people know this... pleasantries and manors DONT COST A THING, but can bring you a return on investment 100%

My favorite appetizer was the Brussels Spouts-- the sauce was magnificent! But all of it was wonderful. The service was impeccable. The best! We're wine club member so we picked up some bottles of Blanc de Blanc, a dry sparkling wine similar to a brut Champagne. We also decided to try their first red wine from Mexico. The woman who helped us was very pleasant. We chatted a bit while waiting for the food to be ready. They have a lot of cute merch. We've been to a couple of the special events at the Indy location which were a lot of fun. I do like the food here and it's fun to come in once in a while for a tasting.
