My son my grandson and I went to denny's today to have breakfast and I must say it was a very pleasant experience the food was great was good and hot it came at a decent time and the waitress Elizabeth was the best there's a lot of restaurants that can use more like her. I believe in giving credit where credit is due and my experience today was great. I'm speaking of the location on South keystone. The service is terrible. None of the staff smile and the sure ain't polite. No thank-yous whatsoever. No pleasentries. They brought my husband the wrong coffee didn't apologize at all. He literally can't have caffeine- it's not a preference it's a legit medical issue and she did not apologize, she was not phased in the least. I watched the hostess/ cashier as she interacted with an older lady trying to get seated. I noticed how unhappy, joyless the teammember was. I never said a word and at the same time my husband blurted out how unhappy she lloked... so it wasn't just me. The staff look like they hate their job and probably hate life too. Someone should tell them if they don't want to be here get another job. If they can't or won't, don't strive to try to make everyone else's life miserable because you have no joy. It's not our fault don't take it put on us. Why didn't I call management? Because I can tell by their staff they don't care. Not if I call and complain, not if I write this review. I read the response and highly doubt anything was said and no I will not waste me time coming back. You did not even make an effort to conat t me or have me contact you, so like I assumed, I don't think they care. It like their attitude is, this is just Dennys, so low expectations or no expectations... The food was decent, that is the only reason they got 2 stars. If you order for pickup... you might be OK, but I don't know how the pick up service is. Chef Joseph here. Wife and I ordered thier 16 in Total Tuna and it was bad. I can see why they put tomatoes, cucumber, onions, and lettuce on it trying to hide the taste of the bad tuna. Not sure when the tuna was made, but it was old. First time we ate here and will be the last. read more

Being told that they only have one container of ice cream so they can only make strawberry shakes has got to be the most insane thing I've ever been told at any restaurant EVER! The lady that works at the store took my order for something they didn't have in stock. Then told me she tried to call me back. Knowing you cannot call the store directly. This is unacceptable. We had to wait a long time just to be seated, and the service was terrible. The tables around us told us to leave because the waiter was inadequate. She went out for a smoke break without even asking us if we wanted drinks, and a person at the neighboring table had to get up himself to get his drink. I ordered some pancakes but it just smelt horrific. the pancakes just smells like straight chicken tenders. now how does that match up? y'all using the same batter for your chicken? my service was unbelievably slow and poor. whoever made my stack of pancakes deserves to be fired and needs to never step foot in a kitchen again. This was my first time being at dennys. we were excited to eat late night and we had ordered some food. we had run out of water and asked for some, and god knows how long it took to get a refill. The waitress, Jacea, gave horrible service. we didn't even get our water until like 15 minutes later when i was staring at the front, looking visibly frustrated. When she filled up the water, she spilled a whole bunch on the other side of the table and didn't even bother to wipe it away. Other than the water, she would not check up on us but seemed to go to other customers. when she had the bill, she just threw it on the table without checking up on us, yet again. i even tried to ask for a togo box before she fully left and i had to yell it out, but she didn't hear and was walking around with an airpod in her ear. my boyfriend had to go to the front to ask for a to go box and to pay for the bill. i'm not sure if it was an age discrimination thing, or something else, but this was the worst service i have ever experienced and i will not be coming back to this location. read more

My family comes here a couple times a month and always receive exceptional service. We usually have the same waitress (this woman is ALWAYS at work!) and she is amazing! This experience was terrible and will NOT be back! The food was barely warm...which is weird for a Sunday at 12/1:30pm...but our server never came back to check on us at all so we couldn't even explain to her about the food...so we explained to the manager and got told that our server was the best server...which if that was true we would've gotten our food freshly made and would've had time to tell her about the orange juice...when I was talking to the manager about what went wrong with our experience the serve jasmene proceeded to stare at me and my niece with vengeance in her eyes and the lady at the checkout register was very rude as well and proceeded to tell the mananager, " YOU BETTER GET YOUR CUSTOMERS" whatever that means...we were just waiting for my mom to get out of the bathroom...the host said my niece snatched the recipient from her, but she just grabbed it fast cause she was trying to grab my fathers to go coffee that the manager had brought out...so that part was a definite misunderstanding...either way very unprofessional...I HAVE BEEN A SERVER IN THE BREAKFAST INDUSTRY FOR 13 YEARS AND THIS IS NOT THE WAY THIS SITUATION SHOULD HAVE WENT DOWN...I AM ALSO IN SCHOOL FOR BUSINESS MANAGEMENT SO DEFF NOT THE WAY IT SHOULDVE GONE...I understand the area but we are all adults and should act as such regardless of a complaint...you're suppose to remain professional with the customers and apologize for any inconvenience. B.L.A.S.T is very important to use in the food industry and was not portrayed correctly here. I am overall disappointed with the experience and will not be back...P.S. I like the diner atmosphere, the food is always satisfying, if none too adventurous. I'm a regular customer at Denny's when we travel. Although the food at this Denny's is just as good as any other Denny's, I've had some consistent service issues at this one.
