The wait was a little long, since Covid isn't such an issue, staff shouldn't be so short. Our waitress was wonderful, she did the best she could with all the other tables she had to serve. The food took a little while, but it wasn't a big deal. Our steaks were great, our sides were a little cold, but not too bad. The first round of drinks was perfect, the second round was too much whisky and not enough flavor. The music wasn't as loud as it is in most places, the tvs all had games on. I ordered a pick up order tonight. The app said my order was ready on time. I live .55 miles from the restaurant. I get there at the pick up time. It's busy. I go inside to let them know I'm there. My pick up time was 7. I received my food at 7:45. I sat there trying the be patient. The guy that was given us our orders asked me for my name again at 7:45. He said, oh, it's right here. We're just waiting on ice cream. No, I'm sorry for the long wait. He only said have a nice night. It takes me 3-5 minutes to get home. My food is completely COLD!!! I also ordered extra sauce. I visited this location while vising my ill grandfather. I was joined with my boyfriend and youngest cousin. We were sat immediately however the hostess seemed to not want to be there. But she sat us without menus or table set-up. About five minutes later, our waitress came and she went to get everything before placing drink orders. Her name was Jacqueline and she was able to entertain my cousin and his mouth. Her service was decent, we usually give generous tips considering my background serving. We usually order off the 2 for $20 because I am such a picky eater. We had the Three Cheese Captappi, two orders of the Chicken tender platters with broccoli and baked potatoes, and a 6oz. with the same sides. Okay, the steak was over cooked, meaning it was dry and damn near burnt. She alerted the manager would apologized and handled the issue instantly. He offered us a Free dessert, which we took home. terrible just terrible me and my family came a group of 11! 1 oclock several tables empty. we were not greeted we had to go find someone to at least say hi. the host couldn't tell us how long the wait was. "manager came over and said it would be a 45 minute wait as we look over the empty ass restaurant. not only do they need more training on customer service but math as well. who lets 11 paying people walk out of their establishment without attempting to accommodate them? I flew in to visit my son and daughter in law for the first time ever. The waitress was repeating back our order for three and kept mixing it up. The alcoholic beverages that two of us ordered were mostly ice and not the best. The mozzarella sticks didn't looked cooked. The pasta my son got was sweet tasting. The French onion soup my daughter in law got was lumpy. The only thing really great was the chicken fingers. This branch is terrible. We have been different Applebee's around the country, due to traveling and the military. We left and all agreed dinner wasn't great. read more

No one goes to applebees because of their mixologists... or lack thereof, regardless, while ordering some takeout i decided to order a simple vodka martini at the bar. I was delivered a martini glass, yes, but what was inside was far from anything resembling a cocktail. It was green. Yes. Green. Apparently applebees bartenders are taught to use as little alcohol as possible, and when it comes to a vodka martini, that means they pour olive juice into a glass and add a splash of vodka. I returned to drink and asked them to make me a "vodka martini. vodka, with just a splash of olive juice and vermouth". Perhaps the bartender was confused at what to do with a situation in which she would actually have to put alcohol in my insanely overpriced drink, so instead she elected to make me a vermouth martini with a splash of vodka and olive juice. Inconceivable. When it comes to a drink as simple as the classic vodka martini, bartenders of all experience levels should be able to produce a drinkable product. I don't expect much from columbus ms. but come on applebees. get it together. read more

We travel a lot and use to always look for a Applebee's but due to the decline service we have quit looking. I have all but given up on Applebee's do to poor service. Passing through town we saw this Applebee's and looked like a lot of people and we were very hungry, so we stopped. Glad we did, we were seated in the Bar at a high top and our server Jasmine was quick to serve. Food was prompt, Bacon Cheeseburger and Chicken Wonton Stir fry was OUTSTANDING! Jasmine was fantastic. My brother told me that particular Applebee's does not want people with special needs to work there and I don't want to ruin any Applebee's at all since I do work at Applebee's in shawnee mission parkway and the service at shawnee mission parkway is much better than that and we treat people the way that they want to be treated like family does read more

If I could give this negative 5 stars I would. As someone who moved here from out of state. Third time coming into this applebees and the customer service is still awful. Each time we come here it's either slow service, slow food, or just pure unprofessionalism. We had one server that was talking to staff the entire time. Then we had another occurence when our baby was having a birthday and we had a server with a 3 table section just taking his time. I am in the industry so I understand things happen in the back but he completely disregarded our table. He didn't check 2 mins after the first bite. We didn't have silverware until our appetizers were near finished. He did the birthday song but that was it. I believe he was milking the experience purely for the tip. The last time was a to go. I normally order a drink while I wait on my to go to get done. Fail #1 I wasn't offered a drink. Fail #2 The bartender tonight when I was paying for the Togo order pulled the manager to the side and asked about a side with no charge. Online and in store the total was the same. The manager dismissed the issue and just told the bartender to accept the transaction. When the bartender came back I was then going to order a cocktail and pay with cash and tip for the trouble of her dealing with to go orders. In stead I was taught a lesson about how next time I needed to adjust my order online. I guess there is a $0 charge for sides glitch. But that's not my fault. If I want to order broccoli and there isn't a button with a charge as an option then I am not at fault. Also I was picking up an order for my sick husband who couldn't come in himself. I still can't believe she rolled her eyes and walked away. I would have told management but I felt a review over all of our experiences would stand better. But they will receive a call in the morning for the General Manager . I would rather spend a few dollars more at Longhorn Steakhouse than deal with the awful customer service at applebeese Columbus, Ms. Which is sad because I enjoy applebees. Recently ate at Applebee's with my mother and husband for lunch. The food and service were okay, about what's expected, not great but not awful either. The restaurant however was a different matter, it was filthy! On the way to our seat I noticed a large area of the carpet was spongy as if it was wet and realized my shoes were sticking to it. The area with soiled carpet was about 20% of the floor. We were seated in a booth by a window, and wish we hadn't been. There was at least an inch of dust and grime on the blinds and window ledge. I always wonder if the public space is that dirty, what does the kitchen look like? Columbus doesn't need to lose any more eateries, please clean it up! read more

Was in town visiting for a graduation and was told there was a 30 minute wait because they only had 3 servers. Once we got our table our service was okay but nothing spectacular. The server rarely checked to see if we needed more drinks and the food portions are subpar compared to my hometown's Applebee's (Mobile, AL). It's your typical, chain restaurant, casual American dining joint, but at least it's consistent. Whether I'm picking up take out or dining in, the food has always been decent and the service at this location is excellent. The servers have always been courteous and fast with the refills. It's family friendly, most everyone can find something on the menu to eat, and its inexpensive. If you are looking for a good lunch spot to satisfy your family and friends you could do much worse than Applebee's. read more

Had poor service the first time we tried it a couple months ago. We decided to give it another try last night. We had no server until the manager came over and got our drink order. After 45 minutes we had no appetizer. We walked out. I do have to say the manager tried hard but it was horrible service and not worth our hard earned money. read more

I went for lunch and it was good. I am writing this review considering it for what it is, a chain steakhouse. We ordered a small sirloin and the chicken Caesar salad. Dressing came on the side like i asked. Friendly and quick service. Food was good. Will go again. Recommend that they get some more varieties of hot sauce other than just Tabasco. read more

Awful experience. Steak was ok, sides were awful. Mashed sweet potatoes were cold as ice. I asked for no sour cream on the new crispy cheddar bacon potatoes, but it came covered in sour cream. I can't eat sour cream, the waitress apologized and said she told them no sour cream but never offered to fix it or the other side after my complaints. Decided to come here after the MSU game, got in just before the crowd. I was indifferent on where to eat tonight but my wife likes Applebees nachos so we decided to come here. I took advantage of the $2 Blue Moon mugs and had a $1 PBR mug as well. Usually don't order alcohol at restaurants when I take the family, to save money but when it's cheaper than iced tea... Anyway, I decided to write the review because of the good service we received. They were out of nachos but didn't realize it until the other meals were about ready. My wife was a little annoyed but we didn't complain. She ordered a chicken dish, which was fine. The manager was the one to inform us that they made a mistake and were out of nachos. He was genuine. We didn't complain or ask for a discount. We noticed on our bill though that they had not charged us for my wife's meal. In my experience most places would have apologized or at the most given a free dessert or appetizer but they quietly comped our meal. The people here are very friendly and the Applebees has a wide variety of food to choose from. A very good option to have dinner in a town without many options. read more

Worst. Service. Ever. Applebee's wasn't my first choice, but given the time (it was 11ish), we didn't have many options for a full menu. We were seated right away - hostess was friendly. Our server was so distracted by the other tables that we were continuously overlooked. Told two of the items we ordered were no longer available, we asked for menus to find something else. First red flag - if you're going back to a table to tell them you're out of the items they ordered, perhaps taking a menu at the same time is a good idea. Anyway, once we had the menus, she disappeared for 20 minutes. In the meantime, the third person in our party received their meal. She was almost done with her dinner before we were able to order something that was available. She had the Triple Hog Dare Ya - the sandwich was good - would recommend it - the fries were cold and just decided to live with it. The quesadilla - well let's just say it was disappointing. It took over an hour to get two waters - we already had beer so at least we did have SOMETHING to drink. Ordered Apple Chimicheesecake (it was good!) dessert and coffee - dessert arrived, as did our bill - no coffee. By this time it was pushing 1a so decided to just let it slide. They get two starts only because two of the five items we ordered were good, the rest of the experience was not. read more
