The entire venue is impeccably pristine, boasting a wonderfully refined and spotless ambiance. I opted to take a seat at the bar and kitchen area, which features a brilliant, well-appointed setup. The service was prompt, professional, and delightfully warm from the start. The bartender, Hannah, was absolute perfection attentive, gracious, and extraordinarily welcoming. Upon her prompt inquiry, I ordered a Blueberry Minitini, which was mixed flawlessly, crisp, and utterly divine. Busy as heck place during graduation weekend but that means people know where to make the best rsvps for big occasions also I guess. Even so being a busy night, solo dining at the counter had its perks, got seated in minutes of walking in as others in pairs or more got turned away. I went with a double-bone Berkshire pork chop that was delicious. I got it with a double order of veggies which I did feel was a meager portion for doubling up but still, the quality and flavor was there for sure. Took a while for the order to come out after placing it as did my wine orders as well. The kitchen was slammed for sure but they did darn well to keep up for the most part. I got to meet the owner Brady Hindeman as well as he was in the kitchen himself helping lend a hand to the flow of things. Gotta appreciate and owner who gets his hands dirty to keep business going steady on busy nights. Prices are fair for the quality and service here, portions decent, speed a bit slow but typical for a packed house weekend as well. read more

It was super busy after the baseball game and our service was very slow but that was understandable although I would highly recommend more staffing for big events. We started out with the grilled Caesar salad which I found delicious but would Have asked for the dressing to be light as it was a lot. We both had the 8 oz filet which was seasoned and cooked to perfection. For sides between us we got creamed spinach, potatoes, greens and French fries. My creamed spinach was creme with a few flakes of spinach. The greens were heavy with bacon and my mash potatoes were very seasoned as well. I realize, since MS is my hometown, that heavy cream, sauces, and seasonings are a delicacy in MS but I prefer to really taste my food. I would also recommend more bland sides like a simple baked or roasted potatoes and lightly seasoned veggies for those who don't want their food drenched. My brother dines here all the time but last week we came as a family to celebrate his graduation. The staff were very friendly. For a busy graduation weekend, they were very prepared. We had a reservation and the table was ready with place setting when we arrived. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating to our pregnant guest. The food was amazing. Perfect temperature and the lamb chops were seasoned very well. I should've asked if I could change the sides for the lamb because the corn in the Cajun chowder and the corn as a side with the lamb was too corn for me. The only critique I have is possibly moving the fire pit away from the entrance. Soon as we walked outside we were hit with a lot of smoke and it doesn't take long at all for smoke to cling to your clothes. But overall it was a very nice dining experience. read more

So I wanted take a few co-workers out for dinner and looked up on my favorite little site Yelp!! These reviews met every expectation of what we wanted. Chef Caleb and his crew killed it. We sat at the bar so I can socialize with the team-- love doing this. Even being in the industry I still enjoy watching others dance to get the food out. The bartender was on point and by the end of the night I just let them pick the drinks. Did not disappoint, the flavors, the artistry that goes into it was absolutely amazing. Watching him really get into the drinks was awesome. He knew his stuff. We had a charcuterie board, buffalo dip, caprese pastry. These apps made me debate on getting entrees or just continue running through the apps. I got the opportunity (cause I'm a loud mouth) to ask Chef some questions. There was braised meat on the menu and i asked about this. It was rabbit or duck this night. I opted to give it a go and go for the rabbit. It was call of the bone good. My co-worker had a special trigger fish. We shared even though I didn't want to give any up, I just wanted to steal his and eat mine. This place is small and tucked away but worth every penny!! We sat at the bar to eat as all the tables were occupied. This worked out well though, we got the opportunity to talk with the owner and Master bar tender. I asked the person next to me for a recommendation as to what is good, he said everything but suggested the breakfast burger. This turned out to be the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. My son ordered the Steak and eggs and my wife the eggs Benedict. Everything was excellent. College town or not, I would go out of my to eat here again!! Just incredible. Great staff. Great open floor plan. The grilled Caesar is unique and very flavorful. They were out of risotto (which is fortunate as I am not a fan) so they loaded up the filet I ordered with potatos, mushrooms, blue cheese, and many other things. Purists will throw a hissy about only using salt and pepper and I can agree sometimes but this was a different animal all together. Grilled to perfection and all the flavors mixed so well. Instead, we drove around for THIRTY MINUTES looking for a parking space, with NO help from the restaurant other than to say, "that's just how it is". An unexpected delight! While looking for a lunch spot when passing through town, we happened upon Commodore Bobs online, and it looked like a place we wanted to try. Our GPS took us down a small cobble stone street that looked more like an alley. The restaurant was tiny, yet we received a BIG welcome. Arancini had no salt at all in it so it didn't have much flavor at all, salmon cakes were OK but not real good and the board had a funky tasting cheese, what looked like pickled diced green tomatoes and a couple more things. Wasn't very good. Dinner, some got a pasta which was pretty good, grilled salmon was real good, but the shrimp n grits were just not good at all. Sone may like this place but I won't be back. 2 or 3 drinks each and the bill for 6 was $800 after the tip. read more

Both sides were the consistency of baby food. They ran all over the plate with the poorly seasoned tenderloin sitting on top. The menu showed the price as market. When I got the bill it was priced at $53! We ordered a bottle of wine that had a screw cap & was charged $5 for a corking fee. Terrible experience, I will never go back & neither should you. I had a great experience at this restaurant. Everything is made fresh in with love and care. I ordered the tomato soup appetizer and it pleasantly came with a grilled cheese. For dinner, I had a curry fried chicken with the falafel waffle. I had an chocolate devil's food cake with rice crispy milk and blueberry ice cream. The cake was not quite as moist as I prefer, but the ice cream was amazing. The owner was also the bartender and he took great care and you can tell that his was a labor of love. My only downside would be that the bar is located right by the front door, along with the kitchen. In the south, this is conducive to flies and other bugs.
