Stopped here for lunch on Thursday. The restaurant is clean , service was good, and the food was tasty. I had the Fish and Chips, and an iced tea. The fish was beer battered, and was served nice and hot. The fries were prepared perfectly. The iced tea was brewed and not out of a pre-mix dispenser like some other restaurants. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Undercooked food. Unfriendly staff. Rude people. I sat down and it took half an hour to get drinks. Let alone the 15 minutes it took to get steated. The only reason I am going with a two star review, which is less then my original rating, is because my nephew and good friend both work here - otherwise it'd get a one star for sure! My wife and I have stayed away from this place for a few years now as we were never really happy with the food or the service here! However, we received a gift card for Christmas and decided we'd give it a try! The hostess - the girl that showed us to a table was very good - I think her name is Klair - my nephew even came out to see us, but our waitress - wait person - was far too much into making us wait and wait and wait! We had to ask for a coffee refill and then waited for that to come - the service has not changed one bit. The place wasn't even busy and the girl who was supposed to be serving us needed help - my goodness - the training at this place needs some drastic improvements as we will NOT be going back! As for the food - nope - I should have listened to my nephew and went with what he told me to - maybe then it would have been cooked correctly! YUCK - a 9 year old could have done better! The place was clean - probably because of a lack of customers, the parking was easy - probably because of a lack of customers and the price as ok - probably to attempt to lure more people in! But if they don't teach these servers how to take care of people - only those with nothing to do in their life will be coming here! Ordered online while we got settled into our hotel (Quality Inn). Very easy to walk to across the street- wasn't too busy for a Thursday evening but sorta played frogger as we crossed. We ordered a chicken quesadilla & spinach artichoke dip as appetizers to split with a chicken Caesar salad. All were packaged nicely and they provided utensils. Very good food, very great service & food traveled well on our walk back to the hotel. Historically I dislike Applebee's but this might have changed my mind. read more

I have eaten at Applebee's plenty of times and this experience has to be the worst. I will NOT be returning to this location. We were given our appetizer and the wait staff told me that she had dropped several chips on the way in and would replenish them. She never came back. There were no refills offered or given for our waters and coffee (wanted regular and gave me decaf I find out later). Our waitress was non existent except to bring out our entrée. I had the steak with parmesan shrimp topping and asked for medium rare. I received a well done steak (no lie it was all brown in the middle), made just the first cut into it and tracked down our waitress. I told her it was overdone and what I had asked for. She said she would talk to the cook. Ten minutes later she comes back and asks if I even want the steak or if I wanted to just be refunded. I told her I wanted the steak (Thus why I ordered it). She grabbed my plate to "show the cook" and walked away. After waiting an appropriate amount of time to cook a steak she gives me a new one. I cut into it and it's blue rare. I have had rare steaks before and they taste good but this was barely cooked. I had enough so I took a look at my bill and she charged me for a second steak meal! She came back and asked if it was cooked right and I told her no, I would just cook it at home. She said that she would not only take off the second steak charge but the first one as well. I thought that was generous, but she never did and I just had enough of this Applebees. I find it very unfair to pay $16 for some overcooked green beans and some nice steamed broccoli. I would NOT recommend the Dunkirk location! As a reference this was on a Monday night around 6:30p and there weren't many people there. read more

Have eaten in the restaurant many times. Always good! Take out is another story. Since COVID, I have ordered take out a couple times and the food is horrible both times. Take out two days ago had a portion size half of what they typically serve. Time before that, all three people who ordered commented about how bad the meal was. Steak was tough, and four cheese Mac and cheese didn't have hardly any cheese. They cut major corners on take out. I've never left a negative review on a restaurant but when take out is consistently bad, they clearly don't care. We love Applebee's and get take out from other locations all the time and it's always great. This locations take out is awful. They should be ashamed. read more

We were able to take advantage of a half price app during happy hour, but you have to buy a drink first. Between Tony's charming demeanor and my exceptionally crafted club sandwich (my boyfriend had the porks tacos which could only be described as a ray of sunshine) the experience quickly escalated to ode cuisine. Tony could only be compared to a composer of the most skillfully delivered symphony of both social engagement and thoughtful service, which was truly a melody we needed to hear. Typical Applebee's but the service we had on Easter Sunday was outstanding. After trout fishing all day our group was starving and we found Applebee's to be one of the few places open later in the evening on Easter. We ordered a ton of food and were very needy when it came to getting different condiments, water/soda refills, napkins, and other things that are easy for a small group but more difficult for larger groups. It's an Applebee's. There's standard food, standard drinks, and standard service. It's good for breaking up the monotony of campus food but not particularly special for a nice dinner. Service was awful. We were told a wait time of 20 minutes when there were clearly 5-6 empty tables. Ordered a steak for 18.00 medium. It was well done and then some. Had french onion soup that was cold and found 3 green beans in it. French fries were cold and there was what looked like Kraft macaroni and cheese noodle mixed in with them. Every time someone brought food out for a table they had no idea where it was supposed to go. They asked everyone around them if it was theirs. Worst Applebee's experience ever! read more
