By far the nicest restaurant in the Irving area. My family has been coming to the Colony since my Dad moved to Silver Creek about five or six years ago and we've honestly never been disappointed. I last dined at the Colony last night (Saturday, August 1) and would recommend making a reservation due to the social distancing/COVID precautions that are in place (limited seating). The only reservation available for us was 7:15pm so we were extra hungry upon arrival! Our waitress (whose name I sadly forgot) was fantastic. From her Gilmore Girls mask to ensuring each and every course was to our liking - she was very attentive. We started with a bottle of wine (decent wine list, cocktails, beers, etc.) and ordered a few appetizers including the clams casino and the crab and lobster cakes. My Dad ordered a crock of the French onion soup. Then came our salads... and of course bread for the table... Then our entrees... I ordered the 10 oz. Filet Mignon (cooked rare) and it actually came out decently rare - woo! Of course, I was getting pretty full and was unable to finish the entire entree and completely neglected to leave room for dessert, boo. Anyway, there is plenty of free parking, a large dining area, a bar area, and a menu with a lot of variety although the focus is definitely on the steak and seafood. Even with COVID-19 among us, our waitress was so friendly. My only "complaint" is the price/cost but for the most part, you get what you pay for.

I have never had a bad meal at the colony yet. That would be spanning three decades unfortunately it's a 45 minute drive or I'd be there even more often, but it was a great place to celebrate when winning at bingo and celebrate not winning at bingo. Service has always been impeccable and the ambience, relaxing and enjoyable, kudos to chef staff and owners .Lamb Chops Lobster Bisque Shower grills oysters

We occasionally have driven up to this restaurant. It's a long route five & from the outside looks like a pretty common place bar and restaurant. Nothing elegant or fancy. Very noisy. The food is hit or miss. Somethings can be reasonably well done and others dreadful. The one consistent thing is if their prices are sky high. Their prime rib yesterday was $43. Absolutely no justification. Their blackened catfish was $29 which should be about 12 to 15. The list goes on. They aggressively will not except American Express credit cards although virtually every other dining facility in western New York does. Most certainly it's because I AMEX charges a slightly greater percentage to process the charges. It's ironic that one of the restaurant with the most inflated prices "nickels and dimes" customers for a few percentage points. They actually can't except AMEX but aggressively discourage it charging the servers a staggering 10% off the bill for every card they process. This penalize is the server and it impacts the customers. We got a mouthy lecture from the server yesterday and we were rudely admonished to never use it again in this restaurant. I think that was the last straw for us. We go out to eat 2 to 4 times a week but I can guarantee you we will not be back to the Colony restaurant in Irving. Their parking lot is almost never full. I can understand it. I would rather spend my money in places that have reasonable prices, high-quality food and happy smiling waitstaff not grumble bumpkins.

Wonderful service. Food was wonderful. You get enough for the $. I had the surf & turf mini, hubby blacken swordfish. Then he had creme brule . Absolutely no complaints. Cheryl was our server and she was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Great food and service. Real turn off that there was a charge for rolls/bread. This will hurt your business in the long run.

It was a wonderful atmosphere with soft instrumental music and the ability to hear the conversation of people at your table. To start, there was toasted bread with feta cheese and dill pickles. The starter salad was a huge supper entree size plate. The choice wax garden or Cesar. You could get the French Onion soup instead. Had the main Filet Peppercorn sauce. Asked for medium rare and it was amazing but it had a little much gravy for my liking. The baked potato side was a nice side (not too big) which came with butter and sour cream versus having french fries. Veggies were a few string beans, a slice of a big carrot and a piece of red sweet pepper. The plating of such fine expensive entrees was not very sophisticated. Thought it would be plated much nicer than it did. The server was very friendly and helpful. Chefs were accommodating to special requests and the food was excellent. My husband enjoyed the Violet French 75 in particular. The rosé margarita is beautiful and tasty, but I especially enjoyed the amaretto sour. Wish I saved room for the chocolatini. It had a creamy beer cheese sauce, but I think I also tasted some truffle, too. I couldn't decide between the two dishes, but the flavors were distinct. My husband had the BBQ pork belly ends for an appetizer, and the delmonico steak with garlic herb mashed potatoes and carrots. He also raved over everything he ate. Great complimentary bread, too. What a great night... and a Unforgettable Dining Experience at Victoria's Steakhouse…read more From the second we walked into Victoria's Steakhouse, we knew we were in for something special. The food was outstanding, but honestly, the service and overall experience stole the show. Right away, we were welcomed with a handwritten note from the staff, which was such a thoughtful touch. It set the tone for the whole night and made us feel like more than just another table. Leah, Taylor, Nicole, and Brenden on the bar all made sure we were taken care of, and they worked together like a real team. Our main server for the night, Leah, was incredible. She checked in at just the right times, kept the drinks coming, and made sure we never felt rushed. That's something I really appreciated--the timing was perfect. We had time to sit, talk, and enjoy every course without feeling like we were being pushed out the door. That alone makes this place stand out. The Food - Top Notch wow!! We ordered a mix of appetizers, and right away, we knew we were in for a great night. The Steak Tartare was packed with flavour, really fresh, and had just the right texture. The Beet & Charred Citrus Salad was a great surprise--the burrata made it creamy, and the mix of ingredients worked perfectly together. Then came the Maryland Style Crab Cakes, and these were easily some of the best we've had. Crispy on the outside, full of real crab on the inside, with no filler, and the fennel and grilled citrus remoulade gave them a light, fresh kick. Just unreal. The Wagyu D'or Bone Marrow was something else. Super rich, buttery, and loaded with deep beefy flavour. The short rib was so tender it fell apart, and the mix of confit onions, taleggio cheese, and truffle just made it even better. Definitely a must-try if you want something packed with flavour. Then we had the Wagyu, and this was hands down one of the most incredible steaks we've ever had. We ordered 4 ounces of Japanese A5 Wagyu, and it was everything you'd expect--unbelievably tender, with insane marbling that melted like butter in your mouth. The flavour was so deep and rich, you don't even need sauce or seasoning--it just speaks for itself. Every bite had that perfect balance of fat and beefiness, giving it a texture that you really can't compare to anything else. If you're someone who loves steak, this is an experience you need to try at least once. For sides, we went with the Risotto Milanese, which was perfectly creamy with a nice saffron taste--not too overpowering, just right. The Confit Carrots with brown butter and maple were also really good, with the smoked almond crumble adding a great crunch. Even though we were stuffed, we couldn't leave without dessert. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was next-level. Warm, soft, and covered in a crazy good caramel sauce. If you're a dessert person, this is one you don't want to skip. The Cheesecake was smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet--just really well done. A great way to wrap things up. A Cool Surprise at the End After we finished eating, they invited us to see the kitchen, which was something I've never had happen in Hamilton before. It was spotless, and you could just see how much passion the kitchen staff has for what they do. It was a really cool way to end the night and just added to the overall experience. This was easily one of the best dining experiences we've had in Hamilton. The food was next-level good, but what really made the night was the service. The staff at Victoria's Steakhouse didn't just serve us--they made us feel welcome. If you're looking for a top-tier meal with amazing service, this is the place. Hands down one of the best nights out we've had in years!!

We started with calamari and it was great, came with a lemon dressing already on it which was good and didn't detract from the crispiness at all.
