This 5 star review is for Vanessa's SUPERB service! She was so genuinely friendly and attentive. You felt like you were dining at a friend's house. We opted for Applebees on a Friday night for a casual dinner out at a restaurant that offers a diverse menu for when you don't know what you feel like eating. The host gave us an inaccurate wait time and sat a party of 2 that arrived after us, before us. Luckily the wait wasn't too extensive. I appreciated that they accommodate our request for a booth. Our food came out appropriately spaced so our apps didn't come out on top of our food, which we appreciated. The spin dip and mozzarella sticks were good app choices. I enjoyed my southwest chicken bowl for an entree. Though it was not quite at the level of doneness he preferred, my husband enjoyed the bourbon steak entree. Applebee's has been an Edison Rt 1 staple for a loooong time. Coming here for a little family dinner, they were a bit understaffed, but the wait staff are clearly managing as best as possible. We got the 2 for $28-$32 ranges with the spinach and artichoke dip and buffalo bites. The Buffalo bites were a bit too crusty, definitely could do with more meat and less breading. The spinach and artichoke dip was amazing though, definitely nice and melty with fresh chips! I personally got the ribs this time, and can say though it did't look much, it was a pwrfect combo of savory tang and sweetness. Meanwhile, someone else in my part ordered the steak and I must admit, their cook quality has drastically decrease with their steak. Avoid the steak, and I think you are golden in having a nice dinner out here! read more

All You Can Eat or All You Can Stand? That is the question. Applebee's has always been a decent burger and brew joint. Unfortunately, it's also a place where you'd keep your head down and look the other way if you run into anyone there you know -- especially since they've turned into an AYCE fried food palace in a desperate attempt to attract customers. Don't get me wrong a well prepared burger and fries can still be had very competently but I draw the line when they want to trowel unlimited quantities of anything down my throat. Just keep it simple and for the love of god, avoid any eye contact with your neighbor. Three stars. read more

Applebee's is one of those spots you remember from growing up but seem so uninspired. I was hesitant to eat here but my girls have been fascinated with the concept so I figured why not? The standard seating for a bar + grill. Families were seated away from the bar area. The children's menu was pretty varied. Pick a drink. Pick a dish. Extras for smoothies and dessert. My oldest did the taco and my youngest chose the Mac n cheese. I went with the southwest burrito bowl in a effort to pick a healthy choice. I ate the whole bowl. Simple food. The chicken had the packaged flavor like it was cooked who knows when. The rest was very fresh. My girls ate their whole meal too. Good price point for the kids menu. I'm a sucker for Applebees half price apps, especially the classic boneless Buffalo wings and mozzarella sticks. Tried the chicken wonton tacos for the first time, and they were a lot better than I expected. The 5 dollar drink was really sweet - about what you'd expect. Stretchy mozzarella? Check. My boys love eating here so I decided to bring them out for dinner after my son's victory in a football game. I ordered the blackened salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The salmon was cooked nicely. My sons both ordered the four cheese Mac n cheese with honey sweet chicken tenders. So i placed an order on UberEats, Id say roughly about 5 mins before writing this and the other 4 mins was spent on hold waiting to speak with someone about an order modification. I spoke with Rob who i'm assuming is the manager (shouldn't be with his phone etiquette). I wanted my fiesta like chickens (i spent $65 mind you) in a wrap like they ALWAYS do for me at the restaurant. I was very polite as I work customer service myself. Rob was very rude and pushed my request off to the side and said, and i quote, "That's a courtesy we do in store we have no control over that". I asked if he could please ask the kitchen if they could do that as i'd appreciate it so much, he then said nothing and placed me on hold again where I sat another two mins listening to "Happy For A Moment". He then answered and said it's already made. This is disgusting customer service and a blatant display of disrespect for those willing to spend money at this specific restaurant, regardless of it being from a delivery app. I've never cancelled an order so fast in my life because he obviously lied about it being prepared and was too busy to stay customer centric on a Saturday night; to the degree of a slight order modification I politely requested. I've worked corporate retail management for the past 9 years and would be given a final warning for that type of behavior. Disrespectful and uncaring attitude displayed from Rob. Wow the remodel really changed this place around. Forget the old Applebee's look with the locks high schools and colleges on the walls. They are doing a way more modern feel by going kind of industrial and I am here for it. I can't wait for this Applebee's to be the new norm. Glad they still have the half price apps after 10pm. Ordered the new brisket quesadillas with honey bbq boneless wings. The wings, just as good as I want them to be. Something about that sauce is so good. I remembered I asked once and they said it was sweet baby rays honey bbq but when I bought the bottle it's not the same. It's the Applebee's tosses part I am missing lol. The new brisket quesadillas were so so good. The meat was so juicy it would drip down when you hit into it. Preferred over the chicken ones for sure. Came here last night with my friends and it was a great experience. It was a 45 min wait for the 5 of us but for a Friday night that's not bad at all. Tracking our place in line was easy and very effective. When we were told to come get seated it was instant and service was great. Our server was Chris, he was one of the best waiters I've had. Me and my friends really enjoyed him as our server. The appetizers came out very fast and although the food took a little longer it was understandable because of how busy they were. When the food did come out everything was perfect and tasty. We went at 10pm so the appetizers were half off and that was awesome. We ordered a couple of drinks and they were amazing. I called inside to tell them that I was outside and I waited another 10 minutes and still no one showed up at my car side. I was here last night with my girl after a long week at work! We both got here around 1030p just in time for half off appetizers. To start we went straight for the alcohol and got sangria. The alcohol was just the right strength. Not weak, but not too strong either, just enough for you to enjoy and know that u paid good money for it!
