Mother's Day Brunch was amazing! All the food was delicious! The chef was very personable as well!

Interesting experience! Even though it's tucked in a hotel, we had some really good food and a nice date night here. The brussel sprout appetizer was so good I think we are every last morsel. Yummy cocktails, good beer options. There was a snafoo with my order. I ordered the Impossible Burger that was supposed to come with an aioli spread. It did not. When the server was talking about the burger she mentioned that a lot of vegans get it, but I did not say I was one. I believe the aioli was omitted because it was not vegan. But, once I told her the issue she brought me out a dish of the spread and all was good. My spouse ordered the tacos and thoroughly enjoyed them. Next time you are in the area check this place out!

The apps were really good here. I want to come back and try some of the other entrees. The bolognese was tasty and I just did not prefer the chicken sandwich. The burger seemed popular and I'll try that next time. I would recommend overall. Service was good. Apps alone would bring me back.

Looking for a brew and a light meal, this place really hit the spot. Starting with the Grilled Shrimp and Shishito Peppers with Sweet Chili Glaze, Thai Basil Sea Salt it was a sign of an excellent entrée to come. For dinner, I ordered the Fish & Chips -- Daily Catch, Malt Vinegar, Beer Batter, Tartar Sauce, Buttered Smashed Peas. My only complaint about this dish is actually how the menu reads. Yes, it does say Fish AND Chips, but my brain had to pause a moment when I told the waitress what I wanted because the "chips" part is not on the list of preparations. Plus, when it did arrive, the peas were far from being "Smashed", which would have been a new experience I was looking forward to too. In the end, though, the fish was fried really well -- not greasy at all. The peas, though not smashed, were tasty. Finally, the fires, not listed, were great as well. To top all the above, the beer list is welcomingly long and well explained -- though that sounds simple, it is something not always found at bars with an extensive beer selection. My final comment is that I believe I knew about this place for years before actually coming here. I heard the place was newly renovated, and it certainly looks that way. I believe my only complaint about the location itself is that there are so many hard surfaces I would think it would get amazingly loud if it was crowded.

It is a very nice restaurant; Large, but not overbearing. I could see going here either on date night, or with 2 more couples. Our server Patrick was fantastic from the beginning of the night, straight through to the end. He was friendly, and very efficient. Chef/owner Scott came out from the kitchen to greet us and other patrons, and was gracious to everyone. Onto the food. The Duck Tacos and Mussels were very tasty. I think I might put a call into Chef and have him make me a bottle of that Mussels sauce to take home with me. Then came the crisp Caesar Salad, which kept everything bright. To finish, we had the Black Cod and Duck Confit, both of which were very well balanced and cooked perfectly. Oh, and the Guava-glazed Brussels Sprouts were a perfect side. Next time, I want to try one or two of their desserts. All-in-all, we had a great experience, and the night was a success. Chef, see you soon. I might just bring a large mason jar for some sauce!..

There is also a small bar where you can order drinks and bring them back to your seat. Our group had a private tent area reserved, and the event was well organized. Buffet-style food had been arranged before our arrival, and we were able to bring in decorations, a birthday cake, and other party favors without any issues. The outdoor bar stops serving around 9:00 p.m., but we were able to move to a covered area near to the hotel restaurant and bar, which was equipped with heat lamps and provided a comfortable place to continue the evening. Service throughout the event was quick and friendly. I would definitely recommend The Smokehouse for group gatherings, birthday parties, or a casual day out. There is plenty of space, the prices are reasonable, and the staff does a great job accommodating larger groups. Also, it's conveniently located not far from the train station.

Love live music and the band was great, but it was so loud I had to put earplugs in. My group couldn't talk to each other. Sad about this experience but I really hope they see this review and make some adjustments.

The building is very historic with a small and lively bar and a narrow winding staircase to get to the quaint second floor area where we dined. Most of the tables had a sofa seating option and some eclectic groupings of chairs. Our server was friendly and efficient. We planned to begin our meal with the grilled octopus (that had an interesting preparation including broccoli rabe and raisins) but they were out of the octopus. We pivoted to the fennel salad which included shaved cheese, celery, pine nuts and a zesty lemon dressing. We'll try the octopus next time but we were very pleased with the salad. I recently met a friend at 22 West for a few drinks and dinner. We got there at the tail end of Happy Hour and enjoyed a couple of locally-produced draft beers. The food itself was perfectly okay -- nothing mind-blowing, but decent enough for a casual bite. We shared a dozen chicken wings and both thought they were pretty good. I had a turkey burger and french fries -- which was well-executed and filling. Looking at their website, it seems as if they've changed up their menu since my visit late last month.. but, I'm not sure I'm going back to try it again because the service really dragged our experience down. We sat at the bar and the staff behind the rail barely paid attention to us and seemed ambivalent about our presence at best. The biggest issue for me happened when I went to the men's restroom and found the soap dispenser completely empty. On the way back to my seat, I mentioned it to the hostess so it could be addressed by the staff and asked if she had any hand sanitizer. She just told me it was her first day on the job and she didn't know who to ask about either. Leaving a restroom without soap is bad enough, but a front-of-house staff member completely brushing off a basic hygiene issue because she didn't want to find a manager is just really bad customer service. It's a convenient spot with decent pub food, but they definitely need to tighten up their service and basic restroom maintenance.
