Sorry Applebees, but it is just like the other reviews have said. Service is the issue. There were not enough servers on a Saturday afternoon, so everything was slow. The food really wasn't bad. I enjoyed my chicken fajitas, even though the chicken was a little weird. The oriental chicken salad remains a favorite. My kids both ate ok. It just took a long time. After years of not going to Applebee's, we tried it out about a month ago and had a decent experience. We just went this past Saturday however and had a less than pleasant experience. We didn't get there until around 8 pm. We walked in and waited to be seated. There was an employee at one of the tables in the bar area in the direct sight line of the front door. She was standing there talking to a lady seated at the table eating chicken wings. Keep in mind she had made direct eye contact with me before she took multiple bites of her chicken wing. A few minutes later she came to seat us. They were hesitant to seat us at a "party table" that we had requested but did fulfill the request. I did assume the lady at the table was a manager at first. Later on, a second woman who definitely was the manager was walking around the restaurant.Also keep in mind the lady the employee was talking to was seated at a party table by herself. Two others would later join her at this party table for 6. We waited about 10 minutes before anyone came over to take our order. After our order was placed, we did not wait a lengthy amount of time for our drinks or food. The food tasted fine, but I'm not sure why BBQ sauce is being served with onion rings. read more

So, there's no Applebee's by my house and I saw a commercial for their riblets and got the urge. We headed out for a shopping trip on Randall Rd and finished at Applebee's. The riblets and fries were better than I remember from 20 years ago and the tenders were great too. The food came to the table hot and they didn't drag on the seconds. It was early in the evening though. I tried both sauces. Don't be afraid of the spicy sauce. It was medium, just like I wanted. My wife's salad didn't satisy her and the team there were eager to make it right. The staff was wonderful to us. An amusing side note: They were training a new host and one of the managers gave him a hard time for his jeans that were fine. The kicker was, the staff was wearing t-shirts to advertise for a charity so casual was the dress of the day. Ignored by server assigned to our section in 1\4 full restaurant. Took nearly 20 mins to come to table to even take a drink order\identify herself as our server. By the time she did, we knew what we wanted and server tried talking over both of us when ordering pretending she didn't know they had a cheeseburger with bacon or anything with shrimp... Instead she would interrupt saying "cheese burger with bacon? You mean chicken and bacon?? "... she did something similar with our other item (the shrimp item) we read off the menu. When she decided she'd allow me to order the burger, she started whispering asking how I'd like it. When I asked her what she was saying so that I could hear her, she rolled her eyes. Eventually she brought our drinks and was rather unpleasant. In the meantime, a couple sat down at the next table, same server immediately went over to happily take their order. Server eventually dropped the food off still acting put off. Never came back to check on the food while the other table had two different servers bringing their two meals, etc. Our server still for the next 20 mins or so never came to check if we needed any more drinks, food, how anything was yet simply walked by with our check we had not even requested and tried to walk away. We stopped her and handed her our card saying 'I guess we're done then so go ahead and take our card'... She turned back around to take the bill and card....still irritated. We watched the other servers happily taking care of their tables and ring up bills while ours went around to three different registers chatting with coworkers for about ten minutes. She then returned and slapped the bill and card back on the table walking away saying "my manager won't let me ring anything so you'll just have to wait until he does!". So I ask her "so we're not allowed to pay and leave? Everyone else is ringing up their bills...". She ignored the question and for a few minutes she chatted with some coworkers before coming back and taking our bill and card back. She then went to a register behind the bar that no one was using just about ten feet from our table and instead of ringing up the bill, she decided to chat with a customer she seemed to know at the bar for several minutes. She caught that I was looking at her and then rang up the bill, came back over and slapped the receipt down on the table saying nothing. Yet went back to the next table to ask how they were doing. If you have a server that ignores customers from the start and singles them out as a burdon, purposely delays ringing them up even returning their bill and card, they need not be employed. For two simple drinks, a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a shrimp dish, this server went out of her way to make sure our experience taxed all the common sense out of her. read more

Food was good, but there was an issue where what my Wife ordered was made incorrectly. Not the waiters fault, since he read back our order. They remade her sandwich, but it took 15 minutes to remake and all the rest of us had finished eating. When our bill came the sandwich was still on bill. We called over the manager and she came by and begrudgingly listened to our complaint. She did take the meal off, but she never came back to apologize or anything. This was all on top of our meal taking almost 25 minutes to come in the first place. Sad that the mishap messed up an otherwise good meal. If I could give 1/2 star I would. Went to this location on April 15, 2023 with 2 other people. The place was nearly empty. Was shown to seat quickly. Drink and Food orders placed at that time. 20 minutes later, no drinks (3 draft beers!). The bartender/manager was engaged with the only person at the bar, washing glasses and ignoring everything. I went to bar to ask her about drinks. She said the waitress was at fault as she had not put the drinks order into the 'system'. I asked here to give us the beers, she said the waitress needed to enter the order first. And that she would have the drinks delivered right way. 5 minutes later-now 25 minutes in-no drinks. I went to bar and asked to cancel the drink and food order. The bartender/manager said the waitress was new. The waitress was there, and I told the bartender/manager that she had said it was the waitress' fault. The bartender/manager now said she had not said that. This was on a Saturday night, and I can now see why the place was nearly empty. HORRIBLE SERVICE, HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. If the bartender/manager was less concerned with talking with the ONLY person at the bar, and more concerned with supervising her staff and making sure the place was run in a professional and service oriented manner, the place would be busy. I am so disappointed in this location. I have been coming here for years and will travel a great distance to eat at this location. Lately when I have been going to this restaurant, the music has been incredibly loud. I asked the bartender if it's always this loud in here and she responded yes. It didn't seem like she wanted to make any changes. I didn't want to complain since they were preparing my food. If you happen to go to this family restaurant with a baby or small children, be prepared for loud music. If you want to talk and visit with your company, forget it. Me and my boyfriend arrived for a lunch date at about 11:20am, he had to be at work by 1 and were seated immediately. There were only 2-3 tables and only one other one in our section. Two women and about 8 kids came in about 15 minutes after us. Our waitress was very attentive up until she took outlet order. She started tending to the other tables, never updated us on our food. Now, I was going to ask what the wait was but my boyfriend asked that I didn't...we got our food at 12:10. After the women and kids. The food arrived warm, I was upset and my boyfriend said "It's okay"... My boyfriend asked for a well done steak, I like mine medium. On top of the steak being warm, it was medium. When the waitress came I told her what the order was and she stated that's what she asked for and she asked if we wanted another, I told her no. She told the manager who then came over and asked if our waitress offered to cook the steak longer?" I stated "yes," he said that he took the appetizers off of our order, which were onion rings and he apologized. The waitress brought us the check which I grabbed first and noticed the steak my boyfriend ordered was $18.99! Oh no, you most definitely didn't try to play us with taking off the appetizer! I told our waitress that deleting just the appetizer was unacceptable and a refund for the steak would be more feasible. Sorry to make a short story long. We were able to get the steak deleted from our total and will never return. read more

Worst restaurant I've been to in a long time. What kind of place brings your soda to you with the can or ask you if you want a glass with can. The greeter that seats you walks way to fast. The food was over cooked. Dirty dishes were not taken away unless you told them to take them. It's like common sense went out the window. The "manager" seems like he was 12 and was very inexperienced with how to handle unsatisfied customers. Did not represent Applebee's appropriately. Excuses are not solutions. We went for a nice dinner and when we walked in they said there was a 15 to 20 min wait. Yet there were table's already open and available. We waited about 5 mins before we got seated and then they brought silverware over and just plopped it on the table not even setting it up for everyone. Our server Cedric was nice but every two mins he kept coming over and asking if everything was ok. We didn't even have drinks and asked if we were ok. Once we received our food we checked the cook of the two steaks, hamburger and tenders. The steaks were cooked decent, the hamburger was Luke warm along with the tenders the fries were stone cold. My wife said the mashed potatoes were cold and the server said let me put it in the microwave to reheat that for you. I wouldn't recommend going to this Applebee's as service and over all quality is very poor. read more

It's a cross between a restaurant and loud bar. The music was loud enough to cause us to raise our voices in here. It's not really something I would expect but the locals don't seem to mind. We strolled around on St. Patrick's Day because my bf mom had a gift card. Applebee's is not inherently my favorite chain restaurant it just screams boring to me. So, I can't say I was shocked when I saw the menu. No vegetarian options except to remove chicken from two pasta dishes and salads. They also tend to be big on the idea of test trying dishes to add or remove permanently from the menu. Almost half of those had stickers saying they were removed from the menu. Confusing to say the least. I must've been very hungry because I ordered the chicken cavatappi sans chicken and was raving about how good it was and how it hit the spot. My boyfriend also ordered the Irish tea and we all tasted it, it was really good. Mozzarella sticks weren't bad, but nothing too exciting. Our waitress started off really nice but towards the end of our visit when I asked her to just try swiping a gift card she snatched it and gave us some major attitude after that and was very dismissive to us even when we were trying to be overtly nice. It kind of left us with a bitter taste in our mouths when we left. And no, Jameson is not to blame. I hope (all) Applebee's can get their act together. read more

I came here with my family of 5 to eat dinner, and we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the restaurant. We asked for a high chair for the 8 month old, and it was so disgustingly dirty. The high chair was sticky, had dried up food on it, and looked as if it had never been cleaned. I had to clean it and wipe it down before putting the baby in it because it was just too gross! Not only that, but our booth seat had crumbs on it and we had to wipe it down before sitting. Lastly, my mom ordered French onion soup and she found a piece of chicken in it - which is weird because this soup does not include chicken. Overall, our experience wasn't so good. I'm mostly disappointed about the high chair being dirty because a baby should have a clean seat to eat in. read more
