Ive given this location more than enough chances to get right but ive never had a good experience there from being served frozen mozarrella sticks to a oriental chicken salad always soaked in creamy dressing even when i ask for no dressing i just give up. i mean cant get a salad right says alot. just try thats all i ask. my last trip there my tables were filthy and 2 staff workers were just lounging right behind me doing nothing. place wasnt busy why isnt anyone wiping tables after people eat. Perhaps when a nicely dressed older woman enters your establishment by herself, you think your tip might be skimpy. Think again. I was a waitress once upon a time, I know how much you count on them. If the service is good, I never tip below 25-30%! I guess the lack of Patrons inside, (at lunchtime on a Saturday) should have been my first indicator. When you do get to my table, barely mutter, "Can I get you drink?", and then wander the restaurant aimlessly (I watched you) for a good 10 minutes, it's time for me to go! I don't give many five star reviews but this place deserves one. I am not implying that this is a five star restaurant, that is not how yelp works. This is a five star experience. First star - the menu is varied. Everyone can find something that they like. The items range from seafood to steak and also include items like burgers and wings. Seriously, if you can't find something on this menu you must not eat. Second Star - the prices. The menu options are very reasonably priced and they run specials all of the time. Sometimes it is an offer of an appetizer and dessert for one price or an all-you-can-eat special. Third star - military appreciation. The Manager of this location is a veteran and they have decor through the restaurant celebrating the US and our military. They also offer a military discount. Fourth star - the service. My father is a regular here. At 89 years old he can be quite particular and not quiet about his food and how it is served. He has two regular wait staff that cater to him. (they should get 5 stars just for putting up with him) Fifth star - full bar. Full bar offerings and happy hour prices. What is not to love? read more

My wife and I came here for lunch after doing some Christmas shopping. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip for appetizers which was good. I remember their dip being the best and this one was not the best one I have had but definitely not the worst one. I ordered the Fiesta chicken lime and it was really good. I wasn't a big fan of the rice but everything else was flavorful and tasty. My wife ordered the three-cheese chicken cavatappi and for people who like bland food, this was great. My wife wasn't in the mood to try anything spicy so this dish was perfect for her. To end my review, our waitress was Paige and she was great. She was attentive, friendly, smiled and honest about what she tried on the menu. I hate when waiters (or waitresses) tell me that everything on the menu is good. read more

We recently visited the Applebee's in Frederick MD. The food was good the service was awful. There was a total of three tables that needed to be waited on in the restaurant and the waitress couldn't even handle that. It was more important to hang out in the kitchen and socialize instead of checking on the tables. We couldn't even get a refill on water. read more

Greatly disappointed this place is horrible and smelled badly. My family and I was celebrating my dad's birthday and he constantly stated how he wanted to go to Applebee's. So, I surprised him yesterday and picked him up with the plan to treat him to Applebee's. Upon arrival, the place was completely empty, no customers at all, we were greeted, seated and the host said our waiter will be here shortly. Well, I was getting irritated because we were sitting for 15 minutes and no waiter insight. A lady walked in 10 minutes later and went to the bar where she was greeted and served a drink immediately, still no waiter came to our table. My Dad went to the restroom and when he came back to the table, he stated that the bathroom was filthy and smelled really bad. When the waiter finally came to our table to take our order, she seem disoriented, ungroomed as though she just woke up and was not familiar of the items at all on the menu, when we asked questions. At that point we walked out and went to another restaurant and had a wonderful time. We will NEVER come back!!! This Applebee's needs a complete deep cleaning throughout the entire restaurant, strong management leadership who is knowledgeable and professional enough to properly train their hosts and waiters about the menu/drink options, customer service and most importantly restaurant etiquette. read more

When she decides to finally come back and I ask if I can just cancel it since 30 mins later I'm not gonna eat 2 appetizers and my meal. She said "It's in the back, do you want me to bring it out?" YES CHEYENNE BECAUSE THATS WHAT AN APPETIZER IS FOR & we've been waiting. The picture is exactly how my wings were brought to the table. No celery sticks or ranch. I like Applebee's. However, my experiences have been very hit-or-miss. In the case of my experience yesterday, it was a hit! My friend and I arrived around 9pm for dinner. We were greeted and waited on by Alexander. He explained some of the drink choices to us and we were able to make a good decision. The drinks were brought out fairly promptly and were made to perfection. I thoroughly enjoyed my drink. We decided to skip appetizers and go straight for our entrees. We both ordered 8oz medium-rare steak, one with sweet mashed potatoes and grilled veggies, the other with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli and the steak topped with Cajun grilled shrimp. Everything was outstanding! I couldn't finish my entree and had to take it home, but it was so delicious I desperately wanted to. I even used my fork to dab the juices from the steak and cajun seasonings. Alexander came back multiple times to check on us and make sure that we were doing okay. Big plus in my book. Seating was somewhat swift Cons: Food took a very long time to be served (both visits) All entree's were not served at the same time (I had to wait an extra 10 min for my plate. My boyfriend and I were out as my treat for his birthday which is a few days from now but tonight better suited us. We got the 9 oz sirloin with fries and potatoes, the three cheese chicken, and mozzarella sticks. while we waited we played some trivia on here little convenient computers appetizer arrived within 7 min and food arrived shortly after. The food was hot, correct, and there was plenty left over that i had to ask for a to go box. Our Waitress checked on us 6 times during our stay of about 35-40 min. got us refills without us needing to ask. we will be back and we will hope to have Jasmina as our server on our next visit. I decided to take my family here for dinner expecting a great experience, instead we left disappointed. Our server wasn't very friendly and didn't seem like they cared about their job. They took too long to take our order and it wasn't very busy. Once our order was placed it took way too long to get to us, in fact a table that came in minutes after us got their food first. Not only did our food take long it came out incomplete and warm at best. I ordered chicken tenders and fries and they didn't even have the fries ready at the same time, which is really disappointing considering I ordered the simplest entree on the menu. We also had an order of ribs that came out cold and there was hardly any meat on the ribs. It was more bone than anything. We had to remind our server that she forgot our fries. BRUSCHETTA TOPPED CHICKEN SALAD Grilled chicken breast served on a bed of crisp romaine tossed with champagne vinaigrette and topped with bruschetta, juicy tomatoes, red onions, kalamata olives, roasted red peppers, basil and garlic. Sprinkled with Asiago cheese, golden-fried mozzarella scoops and finished with a balsamic glaze. I got a pile of romaine with brown edges dripping with run of the mill italian dressing, topped with 6 pieces of tomato, a tiny sliver of red pepper, a few pieces of dried out processed chicken, loads of sliced tasteless olives from a jar and a few bits of red onion. No basil or garlic. It was sprinkled with processed grated american cheese and deep fried mozzarella which was really deep fried breading with a speck of mozzarella. Price $9.49 or they offered a half size for $8.49. What a joke. I try to eat healthily, hence the salad, but this was nasty and not worth the calories (sky high judging by the cheese and dressing) and certainly not worth the price. Third trip there...this time I ordered siloin steak. It was so tough that I had to push down on the fork with both hands to get the fork into the steak. Even with a steak knife, I was shaking the whole table trying to cut the meat. First of all, I don't know why anyone would go there with the attitude of "its Applebee's, it'll never make 5 stars." I had a 5 star experience there. I went in looking for a relaxing family dinner, and that's what I got. With extras. Our server was polite, funny, engaging, and helpful. He was prompt with refills, appetizer and dinner came out in a timely manner and they were all served hot. The waiter let me substitute broccoli for french fries with no problem. The manager actually served our entrées and took the opportunity to see that we had everything we need. The food was all good, nothing special, I guess, but definitely good. read more
