    Greggah lobster roll

The food was great. If your like me you may want to request no salt on your fries. They were thick cut crispy on the outside and fluffy on insider. The service was very professional (thank you Shiela!). The ambiance was friendly and fast moving as most tables were full. Great food, great service, great time! We will be coming back.

Recommend the 716 wrap. Pretty good, bar/college vibes with lots of screens great for gameday. Read your bill carefully as we had some issues with the market price not as advertised by our server so we had to correct it. Small thing but otherwise recommended.

Carol was an excellent bartender--attentive, friendly, and very professional. She took great care of us, suggested a variety of drinks, and even let us taste them before choosing. Everything she recommended was delicious, especially the oyster Bloody Margarita shot. We had a truly wonderful experience with her! Highly recommended this place .

Love the atmosphere at Shuckin' Shack. They have the best servers, bartenders, as well as amazing food and drinks. I've never had a crush that comes close to theirs!!

I had the lobster roll which I believe was one of the more popular items on the menu. It was a bit pricey but decent. I would have rated this place a 4 but there was some inconsistencies with the pricing on the menu / said by the server vs. what we were charged so we ended up staying there longer than we wanted to. The vibe is very much sports bar so fine if you're info that.

This place is great if you're looking for good food and good drinks, their oysters are always fresh and local. The service is usually pretty good. If I had to make a suggestion/ complaint, my shrimp Po Boy had wayyyy too much shrimp on it, and it wasn't really a Po Boy in the traditional sense of one. But hey, what do I know, I'm just from Louisiana.

This place was so good we went TWICE in one day. When I say so good I don't mean it's the best I've ever had, I just love a place with oysters, crab legs, beer, and bar food all in one place. I live in Philly so we don't get to do this often. Prices were great and service was decent for a bust st paddy's weekend.

Sunday, while on Tony's Birthday Trip, We stoppedin Frederick, MD for lunch. We went down near the canal way to the Shuckn Shak Oyster Bar. I was very excited. I was trying to show him we can have good seafood and not be in Florida. We took a seat midway through the narrow restaurant. Tony ordered PBR in a can and I went with Unsweetened Tea With lemon & lime. I ordered a half dozen Baked Oysters with Jalapeño & Cheese. It said Char-Broiled but it tasted more baked. They were very good! Tony ordered a Steak Burger Medium Rare with Tomato Lettuce & Onion, topped with cheese & a Garlic Sauce with fries & Cole Slaw. I went with the LOW Country Boil with Jumbo Shrimp, Potatoes, Corn on the Cob & Sausage slices in Old Bay Seasoning with side of Cole Slaw. No room for dessert! Highly recommend and will definitely go back if we are ever playing around that area again!!!

Ok. Don't get this wrong it's a dive bar. But in the best way. Great service. Good food and great value. I had fun. There is way more science to oyster than you think. Opening them correctly so no grit is there is not easy. I will definitely be back.

Hands down the best place I know to get crabs, and I'll tell you exactly why…read more First, the size. They don't advertise it, but the crabs in their all you can eat are big. These are the biggest crabs I've seen anywhere at a price this reasonable. That's the whole equation right there. Which brings me to the drive. I know it sounds backwards to head inland for crabs, and yes, when you've got friends visiting and you point the car away from the water, it takes some explaining. But compare it to a place like Bethesda Crab House, where you're paying for the real estate as much as the crabs. I would rather drive forty five minutes into the country and eat better crabs for less. Those of us in 20854 make this trip constantly, and this place gets talked about in country club circles all the time for exactly that reason: outstanding crabs, unbeatable deal. It's in the same category of open secret as the lobster specials at H Mart at $12.99 a pound, sometimes down to $9.99. Everybody in the know knows. The snow crab is the other reason. It picks clean, juicy, and not too salty. It comes apart fast. No wrangling with rubbery, bendy legs. And you can get it in the all you can eat too. The place feels like a biker bar. Nothing fancy about it, but that's exactly the room you want to be in when you're eating crabs and drinking beer. It also beats Mays, the other spot people mention around there. I've eaten at both. Mays has tiny little crabs. Avery's has some big ones. Not close. And if you're bringing people who don't do seafood, the rest of the menu holds up. The ribs and everything alongside them are outstanding. I've come here with folks who were just along for the ride and watched them go to town. I tried it myself and it was legitimately that good. Last thing: Wednesdays, the all you can eat blue crabs go on sale. Plan around it if you're price conscious.

My widf and I decided to give this place a try after reading the Yelp reviews…read more We love seafood and there are no good seafood restaurants in our immediate area in Pa. Interestingly, the restaurant is in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The off street parking lot is small but fortunately there is paid street parking by an app, with no coin acceptance. There are approximately six-eight outdoor tables in the front of the restaurant that seat about four people each. The indoor dining area seats approximately eighty guests. This is by no means a fancy restaurant but it is clean and comfortable Our server Jalin was very sweet and attentive and recommended several dishes. Beer and mixed drinks are also served here. We started with the fried calamari as an appetizer. The calamari had a delicious crunchy coating and was not chewy. For pur main dishes, my wife had the pecan and coconut crusted flounder and I had the seafood jambalaya. Both dishes were excellent with generous portions. Neither of the dishes were overcooked, with the flounder was light and prepared perfectly. Prices were reasonable and worth every penny, especially with how generous the portions were. We will definitely be going back to try other dishes and recommend giving this restaurant a try.

I liked the mussels, but the jambalaya is what Gen Z would label as mid. Not really authentic at all. Rice was plain and there was no Cajun flavor profile. I also had the cream of crab soup and that was ok. Unfortunately for them, I just had that at Fisherman's Crabdeck near Annapolis as well and that totally smashed the soup at Ragin by comparison. Our server was good though and attentive. I just wished the food was a little better.

Thankfully, my server did allow me to substitute the sesame chicken into my Cobb salad, and that was actually a great addition. The frustrating part was that after we had already finished our meals and were ready to leave, my server came back and told me she had been mistaken and that they did, in fact, have kombucha available. At that point it was too late, and unfortunately there wasn't any offer made to make up for the inconvenience. Another disappointment was learning that The Orchard does not offer any type of military appreciation or support. In a community with many veterans and military families, that was something I noticed and found disappointing. Many other local businesses make an effort to show appreciation, and that kind of support goes a long way for those who have served and for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. The food was good, but with so many other options in Frederick that offer great food while also making customers and the community feel valued, I don't think I'll be returning. A business's connection to its community matters, and supporting those who have served is something I personally look for when deciding where to spend my money.
