Roof top bar with a-lot to offer! The food was out of this world, drinks were refreshing, the vibe was fun, and staff was great. Highly recommend. I will say this place draws a crowd so get there early to snag a table.

I ordered my first two rounds of drinks through a QR code on the table. I wasn't sure why you were able to order drinks through the code but not food. It would have made everything easier and we wouldn't have had to wait a while for the server who was very busy. I had the hummus plate and the buffalo boneless wings. Both were tasty. The hazy ipa beers I had were good. I would be back but I'd aim for a time that it wasnt so packed.

My first stop on my most recent trip to Frederick was to Brewer's Alley to kick off my crab cake tour. I always eat as many Maryland Style Crabcakes as I can when I'm in town. The Crabcakes at Brewers is quite large and full of lump crab with an aioli spread on a brioche bun. The flavor is great but can get a little messy with the sauce, nothing a fork won't clean up. The crabcake sandwich pairs perfectly with their cucumber jalapeno salad if you like a little heat. I also love Brewers Happy hour specials, daily specials which can be a really good deal and seasonal drinks.

We visited Frederick to explore the town and do some brewery crawling. Our first stop was Brewer's Alley. We were there around lunchtime, so it was fairly busy, but we lucked out and found two seats at the bar. The staff here were very friendly and attentive. Loved the space, comfy bar seats, lovely holiday decorations, and a lot of different areas for seating. We tried a saison beer and a Kolsch. They were okay in my opinion, not bad, but not great. We also ordered their special of fried lobster bites. The presentation was nice and the flavor of the breading and the dipping sauce was good, but it was a bit rubbery in texture and a very small portion for the price in my opinion (I understand it's lobster so maybe to be expected). Overall, it's a pretty cool spot and I'd likely drop by again to try other beers and menu items if in the area.

Beautiful interior. The menu is truly special- so many great choices. Sides are inexpensive, so consider getting a couple! There's a great selection of salads, and today they had French onion and tomato bisque soups. We started with Hummus, and weren't disappointed!

I visited Brewer's Alley on Easter for their Easter brunch buffet. The food on the buffet was pretty good. There was a good selection of breakfast and lunch/dinner items and a wide array of desserts. Since walkways are pretty tight inside the restaurant, it was cramped and I felt like it was in a constant struggle not to get in other people's way. The gentleman carving at the ham station was very kind, and our waitress was helpful. I have no complaints with the service. The issue I had was that the restaurant sat guests in an second-floor event space. That wouldn't be an issue if you didn't have to walk up and down a few flights of stairs with your food. Yes, there was an elevator, but like I said earlier, the number of people made you feel like you were in the way while waiting for it to descend. I thought it was odd that people were seated so far away from the buffet and other guests in the restaurant, especially for the elderly guests. It was raining pretty hard that day, so I'm sure Brewer Alley's plans of seating guests outside was ruined, and that's certainly not their fault. I don't know if I'll return, but I appreciated the service and enjoyed the food.

I had the Monday special - Smash burger with their shoe string fries for $12 . I really enjoyed this lunch. My friend ordered the salad with lump crab and she enjoyed it. Their menu changes and frankly this is the spot we go to when we have a large group- the space accommodates - they have a nice rooftop bar- and a great selection of appetizers and dishes.

Huge pretzels! Stopped in for a Sunday lunch in the area behind the lively bar (Multiple TVs with foodball) and had a nice wedge salad, pretzel, french onion soup and Cesar salad. All good, great service, and and an interesting decor/atmosphere.

The Mediterranean Smash Burger was really good. It's a smashed patty with feta cheese, tzatziki sauce, onion and tomato. The shoestring fries were good, brown and crispy. The meal was . The Creekside old fashioned was really good too. If you're in town, this place is worth a visit. I hear their pizzas are popular also.

The best charming brewery in Frederick. Love the comfortable vibe. The wait service is perfect. Love Thursday's special. Lobster fries and coleslaw. Parking behind the restaurant makes it convenient to park. Consistently very good. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant.

Brewers Alley is a great place to hang out, relax, and enjoy a beer, mixed drink, or one of a number of beverages available. I wouldn't drive in search of the place, rather park and walk, enjoy! They also have an incredible roof top. You'll walk up some creeky stairs, May feel like you're in someone's home BUT at the top outside to the left, it's an amazing roof top with amazing servers!!

Ask the Community - Brewer's Alley

Trying to find an after party location after our wedding reception. Would this be ideal for a large group to gather? Thanks in advance 😊

It would be for me. It's a big place with good food and beer.

    Can reservations be made?

Yes! Online (up to 4 people) or call for 5+

    Do they serve brunch?

    Yes, and it's amazing!

Is the rooftop open during winter months?

CAKE FEE? $2.00 per plate? So sad... away with the fee

    That's a normal charge for a restaurant

Wanted a flight but the beers I wanted for the flight were from cans so could not be included, opted for the Pilsner, it was ok. The inside was very messy, the board games all messy and the merch rack needed some attention. The indoor seated room smells musky and the setas were all messy even though no one was in there because we were all at the patio. The patio on a nice weather day is perfect, and there was live music as well. A pizza truck outside and a good crowd of people. However, it was a day that needed more than one overwhelmed beertender. The lines at times were out the door. Went in for a second beer but the kolsch cans were not opening, the line became longer as the beertender tried her best to get a few open with no success. Ended up ordering the same beer as there was no other one on the menu that I prefer. Besides her needing some help, it seemed she was not supposed to be there past a certain time and that was reflected while she processed the line. Eventually she got a can opener and I was able to try the kolsch that turned out to be better than the Pilsner as I expected. Overall it was an ok experience at this place. We brought a group of approximately 50 guests and spent the entire afternoon and evening there, from 2 p.m. until closing. Given the size of our group, I estimate we spent well over $2,000 on food and drinks. The brewery was relatively quiet when we arrived, and our party filled much of the venue. Unfortunately, we encountered several issues that made what should have been a special celebration feel unwelcome. When we arrived, children were allowed up to a belt divider separating one area of the brewery. Shortly after our group arrived, the divider was removed and we were told that the children--even well-behaved kids around 12 and 13 years old--had to move to a completely different area. This split our group apart despite there being plenty of available space. A couple of hours later, we were told that we could not use our own insulated tumblers to keep our purchased beers cold. This included the birthday guest himself. What made this especially frustrating was that we observed other patrons using tumblers without being asked to stop. The final disappointment came during the birthday celebration. We brought a cake and a sparkler candle. The manager, who I believe was Derrick Erwee, informed us that it was a fire hazard and could not be used. While I understand safety concerns, no alternative was offered, meaning my husband didn't even get the chance to blow out a birthday candle on his 50th birthday. I then asked if our group, including the children, could come together briefly for a photo and to sing Happy Birthday for just a minute or two. The request was denied. This was particularly disappointing given that a storm was happening outside and our group made up a large portion of the customers in the brewery at the time. I spoke directly with the manager to explain how these decisions were affecting our celebration, but he showed little interest in finding a reasonable accommodation or demonstrating basic customer service. I want to be clear that the bartenders were friendly and professional throughout the event. They were not the issue. However, the overall management experience left us feeling unwelcome and disappointed. After investing significant time, money, and effort into planning such an important milestone celebration, I sincerely wish I had chosen another venue. Based on our experience, I would not recommend RAK Brewing for family gatherings, large group events, milestone celebrations, or anyone expecting a customer-focused experience. I am never coming back, nor my 50 guests.
