Stopped in Thursday night before Stagecoach , surprised it was the only place open at 10:30pm during a festival weekend. Glad we did! Place was busy but staff was awesome !! We had dinner at the bar . Bartenders were friendly, personable and efficient . Food came out fast and hot, with appetizer timed perfectly before entrees. We enjoyed the Busch Light Apple that was recommended as well as the free bandanas. We went back again on Saturday after the festival was cancelled due to wind. Same great service and food !! I was really disappointed with the service at this Applebee's. Our waiter Celine seemed very short with us the entire time and made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than valued customers. On top of that, our drinks took a long time to come out, and our food took much longer than expected. The overall experience felt unorganized and far from welcoming. Good customer service and timely service make a big difference, and unfortunately this visit fell well below expectations. Haven't been here in ages because I've never been a fan of Applebee's. I got a card for a free appetizer so we decided to stop in. Service was friendly & efficient. It was nice & cool in the restaurant. Happy hour margarita was $5 & just okay. The Caesar salads were good. Boneless wings weren't my jam but I'm not a wing aficionado. My husband enjoyed them. We decided to go for the two for $25 and both ordered the chicken Parmesan with fettuccine. It was decent, but nothing to write home about. Good deal for two dinners. read more

So my wife got card for a free entree from work so we decided to use it & Applebees isn't my wife's favorite but we decided to use it anyways which the service was good especially Cassandra! She was super attentive & kept coming to check on us so thank you. The house margaritas were pretty good & the boneless wings were good also. We got the parm chicken fettuccine which was pretty tasty & it was a pretty big serving that we couldn't finish so we took the leftovers. Overall pretty good experience & pretty chill ambiance. Last night, my wife, and I decided to enjoy a nice meal out at Applebee's in Indio across from the courthouse. We have visited this location twice before, and the staff was excellent, the food was amazing, and the ambience was such that you could still have a conversation even when it was crowded. Last night, not so much. Initially we arrived and were seated at a "booth" that was four times larger than we needed for just the two of us. We were placed by the windows at sunset and had the glare of the sun in our eyes and had to ask a staff member to come over and close the blinds just so we could see each other without squinting. I ordered an appetizer combo which was delivered promptly to the table and it was just fine. The food was good. My wife, however, ordered a Margarita, and the assistant manager brought the drink over in a shaker cup with a cap on it, and strained the Margarita through the top of the steel cup into her glass without allowing any ice to go into her glass. He then set it down on the table so she could enjoy the rest of it . To her surprise, there was a decent amount of ice inside the shaker, and it is only proper to serve a margarita with the ice in it - not strained. This created a situation where she had to pour the drink back into the shaker and re pour into her glass . She also ordered the Bourbon Cajun burger with an impossible patty, as we are vegan. It took almost 20 minutes for her to get her plate, and when she did, it was an impossible patty on what would've been a regular cheeseburger - not the item she ordered. She asked the server to come back and send the burger to the back and have it replaced with the one she asked for, but with an impossible Patty. The server returned some 20+ minutes later, and set a plate in front of my wife, which had the correct burger, but the same Patty that was on the wrong burger. She could tell this because the Patty still had the American cheese melted on it instead of the Swiss cheese that was supposed to come with her Meal. She told the server that it is against food handlers' practices to re-serve a patty that has already been cooked, brought to the dining room and returned to the kitchen onto another plate. The burger must be re-cooked, and added as new to the corrected sandwich. The server agreed, and stated, "I have no idea why they did that." As she was preparing to take the plate back for a second time, the manager walked over and asked what the problem was. My wife explained to her what had happened, and she asked my wife, "Would you like something different?" my wife replied, "No - absolutely not - I want what I ordered, and I would like it done correctly, please." after a total of one hour, 20 minutes, my wife finally had the dish she ordered. She said it was amazing, exactly what she might have expected - but it was hard to sit there while I consumed my entire meal and drinks and now had to sit and wait for her to eat hers. It's sort of took the joy out of our night out. She had encouraged me to eat my food while it was still warm, so there really wasn't any other way we could have done this. The manager returned to the table a second time and told my wife she was going to comp her meal. This was sort of expected after the experience we had, and my wife thanked her profusely for understanding how difficult their staff made our visit. We informed her that we have been at her location two other times with an entirely different crew on duty and had a wonderful experience both times. We also informed her that we would not be returning to this location again. We cannot possibly predict who will be on duty and we do not ever want to repeat this experience. It is also important to note that when the manager was talking with my wife, she completely admitted to the fact that the kitchen staff was doing "things that they weren't supposed to do and I've been having problems with them because of that." she opened up the restaurant to complete liability and admitted guilt of her cooks who are doing things wrong, but still allowed to remain employed or on duty to continue to do the same to other people. This is very concerning, because if a cooking crew is not honoring the provisions of a food handlers' permit, they should be dismissed for the day and retrained, or fired on the spot. read more

I just went w a friend & ordered this sizzling skillet w chicken, bacon (bits), onions & 1 1/2 tiny bit of a mushroom⁉ The platters are half the size they were. The chicken was tiny little strips on a pile of onions. ( shrooms & onions was the selling point.) Flavor was great but come on? Our server was great. Nice young lady that chk w us plenty of times. Came here for a early dinner and it was not very busy. As you walk in the door you'll find the bar music is too loud for the rest of the eating areas because it's open to the restaurant area. Had the fish & chips it was hot and very tasty. Ordered extra tartar sauce but the waiter forgot it, so I had to remind him. If you want to change out the fries for something different it will cost you extra $. Service was ok he asked me when I finished my meal and ready to leave if I wanted a refill on ice tea which was too late. Overall the food was good but I will go to a more quiet Applebees next time. read more

Took the grandkids for lunch. I was surprised that it was kind of empty for lunch time. They took our order and the food was brought to our table pretty fast. Unfortunately, the food was overcooked and dry. Even the spinach dip was burned. The fries, onion rings and chicken strips were dark, dry and mostly breading. The children's fettuccine was dry and tasteless. It looked like it was leftover food that was reheated. The $8 salad was nothing special either. Of course we never return food at restaurants! I visited this location for first time and sat at the bar. Was presented a menu with several options at $11.95. Waited a while as the waitress went to a party of 3 who sat after I did to get their order before mine. Eventually, she came over, and took my order. I ordered a burger from the $11.95 options offered Food arrived and it was very plain, with too many onions and very few mushrooms and the beef tasted odd and not fresh but I persevered. I paid the check and left but then realized they had charged $20.45 for the burger. To cap it all off I got an upset tummy a couple of hours later. So beware as they bait and switch pricing, service is average and food not fresh. read more

The person that greeted me was eating food and trying to cover his mouth to hide it. When I told him it was only me, he said he didn't know where to sit me, like they never have single customers. Table was dirty and there were paper scraps on the floor. The chicken sandwich I ordered was overcooked and the substitution for waffle fries was a disaster because I only received 10 fries (yes, I counted). Did not get any napkins until I asked and was never offered a refill for my watermelon lemonade, which was average tasting. Disgusting!! The absolutely worst Applebee's. For starters the menus were soaking wet. I guess they called themselves cleaning them, but they weren't cleaned with disinfectant, but with a wet towel. The plates that they brought were filled with water I'm guessing from the dishwasher that wasn't wiped off. For appetizers, we ordered spinach artichoke dip, onion rings, spinach dip, and BBQ wings. The spinach dip, and Queso dip were watered down and disgusting! This place is a nasty ass joke. They brought food to our table (two orders) for the wrong table (that's what happens when someone other Than your waiter/waitress brings your food). I ordered the crunch shrimp with fries and mashed potatoes. The shrimp was nasty as you could tell it was from the freezer, and the fries were cold. We are still here waiting for the REST of our food... smh we will NEVER EVER return. Do better Applebee's! Changed my score to a two because they redeemed themselves just that fast. The hamburger buns were soggy from the condensation for being in the containers. The fries were not fresh and that's because the Carside to go is HORRIBLE. I had an estimated pick of 5pm I arrived 2 minutes earlier and sent the email to notify them that I was parked. The five stars technically are for Jennifer the bartender. The food was OK, nothing to rave about but at the same time I didn't have high expectations. I was impressed with Jennifer when I ordered the promotional margarita that was on the menu which was premade and gaggy sweet. I asked Jennifer if she suggested something to add to it and she kindly offered several suggestions and made it a much better drink with a smile on her face. After that point I watched her work, she was efficient, friendly, and very attentive with all her bar guests as well as promptly making drinks for the staff. If Applebee's managers get to read this please make sure to give her a pat on the back and maybe a bonus or a raise as she represents your company quite well! read more

Used to come here a lot but lately the place has gotten worse and worse with its cleanliness to the point it's disgusting. Everytime I've gone I've ended up leaving because I get this one server who is constantly licking his finger for some reason and spits like a fire hose, to the point his hand is noticeably moist in saliva. I do not trust the food here if the guy bring it is going to be that gross.
