We genuinely love this place. The variety on the menu is great, the food keeps us coming back, and the staff is absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, there is one issue that has gotten to the point where it makes us question whether we want to continue dining here: the lack of adequate air conditioning. This is the desert. Customers should not have to sit through a meal uncomfortable and sweating while fans are being used as a temporary solution. At this point, the owner really needs to invest in properly repairing or replacing the A/C rather than continuing to rely on fans for a second season. This restaurant clearly has a loyal customer base, and we are part of it. We WANT to keep coming back. But customers are also paying for an enjoyable dining experience, and being comfortable inside the restaurant--especially during desert summers--is a pretty basic expectation. The employees are wonderful and shouldn't have to work in those conditions either. Please invest in fixing the A/C. Your staff and your loyal customers deserve it. read more

$5 house wine! And so many unique burgers. I've tried to the first one is the Chief McGinley which has Swiss blue cheese, caramelized onions and a sliced green apple. You might think that sounds crazy but it all works and it's delicious. The other one I've had is the Vegeta or Fragita? which has green Ortega chili strips, melted Jack cheese and a bunch of other great stuff. We also have the michelada aquachile as an appetiser. I've been to Burgers & Beer many times, but today's experience was extremely disappointing. The restaurant was completely packed for the Mexico soccer game, yet the manager refused to lower the air conditioning despite how unbearably hot it was inside. With a full restaurant generating so much business, customer comfort should be a priority. The heat made it difficult to enjoy the game or even sit through a meal. What was most concerning was watching a family seated next to us leave because it was simply too hot for their young child. This wasn't just an inconvenience--it became a health and safety concern. When customers are leaving because the temperature inside is unbearable, management should take that seriously. I hope Burgers & Beer addresses this in the future because no one should have to choose between their comfort and staying to enjoy the experience they paid for. read more

Burgers and Beer is a cool spot I found nearby EOS. The place looked pretty big from the outside, so I asked my partner if she wanted to do an early dinner. I noticed they have daily specials, but be mindful that they usually serve from 11-3, and after that, the happy hour menu takes over till 6. We originally came for the tuesday burger deal, but we arrived after 3, we still ordered a burger and decided to try the machaca chimichangas from the HH menu. The service was great, thanks Javier. I really appreciated the variety, not just food and beers, but sports on TV too. The only thing was that the bottom bun of the burger was very soggy, our server joked its gravity's fault... This review is past due. Couple weeks ago I came here on a Thursday night. We got seated and looked at our menu. Out of nowhere our server arrived with water for the table. I been coming here for couple years, Monday or Tuesday and never was offered water. Our server took the order and asked with we like everything on the burger or customize it. What? We had lunch here twice while we were in town. 1st time we placed an order to go and the burgers were so good we decided to head back a couple days later and we dined in, there was a soccer game on but restaurant was not packed at all, service was pretty good, attentive, food was great, we usually don't eat dessert but had to try their butter cake topped with vanilla ice cream, so happy I did, it was amazing! Had dinner here on a Sunday night. It was pretty packed, but we were seated right away. It's March madness so the place was pretty crowded. Our server Melanie was great! She was very nice and kept checking on us. Our drinks were brought out quickly, and there was a little wait for the food, but not too bad. I ordered the Mexicali burger and it was cooked perfectly. Great flavor with a little spice! My hubby ordered the onion burger and it was tasty too. I'm knocking a star off because I asked for Cajun fries it's a dollar up charge which is nothing but they only bring you a handful of fries if that. I came to Burgers & Beer in La Quinta on July 5, 2026, to watch the Mexico game with friends. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing because the restaurant was extremely hot inside. Several customers, including us, asked the employees if they could lower the air conditioning, but we were told they weren't allowed to adjust it. It's hard to enjoy a meal or watch a game when you're sweating the entire time. We were told that management does not permit employees to lower the AC, which was frustrating. Whether or not that's the policy, customer comfort should be a priority, especially during the summer and when the restaurant is packed for a major sporting event. I hope management reconsiders this policy because the food and atmosphere have potential, but the excessive heat made it difficult to enjoy our visit. read more

The best tortilla soup I've had anywhere! I love that kind of soup, but this is really exceptional. The only negative to the place is it is so darn loud. We are now going to start trying to take that soup out instead of eating in the restaurant.. Our party of 12 chose this because it was able to accommodate our large party. They have a large long table hidden behind a wall of the main bar/dining area, which was really nice and more quiet/intimate. Since the place has "burgers" in its name, we had to get burgers (though they have a big menu with tacos, salads, and hot dogs on the menu too). Ordered the guacamole burger in a lettuce wrap and was pleasantly surprised at the giant patty cooked a perfect medium rare. It came with a huge chunk of guac, sliced red onions, lettuce, and tomatoes (I had to request the extra veggies). It also doesn't state on the menu, but does come with your choice of fries or salad. The kids Mac n cheese looked like it came from a Kraft Mac n cheese box though. And service was sloooowwww. I think we got our food about an hour after we got seated. The restaurant as a whole is pretty clean, but the restrooms are always pristine, and smells good! Even on sports nights with drunks abusing the restroom, they constantly keep it clean! Service was bad, they only care if you're a rich white person. If you're white or person of color they ignore you more. They don't even write orders down either, had the worst experience I just got out of the doctors and had some left over stuff on me a waitress laughed in my face and made a joke. They came by three times again they only care if your white their very racist here would not recommend coming here. Went last week with my husband and 2 kids. We were seated and got our order taken pretty quickly. Until our server completely went missing, we ate and were waiting for our server to come around to ask for refill. She never came back, i kept looking for her, the other servers saw me look around and still didnt offer any help. After around 15-20 min we were over it and wanted to leave since our kids were getting ansty. I then tried to look for our server again and no where to be found. I even locked eyes with another server from another area and nothing. We had to look up the menu online and do the math of how much we thought it was. Came out to around ~$55 so we left $60 and left. Upon walking out I told the manager that we needed to leave and no one came around to give us the bill so we just left the $$ and left. He made a suggestive comment of waiting for him to handle it but we were not going to wait any longer, we were already there for more than hour and only saw our server once. I posted a Instagram story about our experience and they reached out to ask what location to see what they could do to make it up to us. Then we were ghosted. I waited a week to see if they would answer back but no, so here i am! After posting our experience, many of my friends have stated that the service here sucks, and i agree! My husband and I recently ate at the Burgers & Beer in La Quinta during the NFL playoffs on a Sunday. It was very busy and the food was great (he had a hot dog and I had the mushroom chicken dinner with Swiss cheese) but the service was even more amazing. So much so we asked to see the manager, Frank, to complement him on how much we enjoyed our meal and visit. Our server, Alexandra, was very professional and kind and each team member we came into contact with from the hostess to the fella who got our TV to the correct channel to the food runner, made us feel that they were a team focusing on providing a wonderful dining experience.
