We were hungry after a comedy show. This restaurant is right down the hall from the showroom area. It wasn't busy yet and we were starving. We were seated right away. I ordered the mushroom burger and my daughter had the bbq burger. We both had them medium rare and fries no salt. The burgers were both dry. Mine was really dry. The fries cold and stale. We love fries and this time did not even finish them. We ordered the brownie but were served chocolate cake. We thought it was a different kind of brownie until we got the receipt. Yup it was cake. Been coming here for sometime now and have not had a bad meal yet. Great place to grab a delicious meal with the best beer in town. The Chairman's Blonde is second to none and a must try. Really nice place to eat even though it's in a decently busy casino. My only problem here is is you sit by the to go area folks will come up to the restaurant smoking cigarettes by your table so don't sit near the to go window. I went on a Sunday this time to try the beef bbq ribs which are pretty good. I got an odd chunk of meat I wouldn't call a rib but I think they felt they were being generous with the servings by adding that chunk. I also ordered the inferno wings since last time the buffalo had a sweet tang to them. I do enjoy the Mac n cheese the most from their sides it's not gritty and it's pretty thick with the cheese. I'd be back for the ribs again for sure they filled me up for 30 bucks or so I shared with my partner as well. They have great pozole and Menudo on the weekends, but go early or they run out. I think I've tried pretty much everything on the menu. The Food needs improvement, ordered baked ziti it was under cooked, cheese wasn't melted except for the very top. Ordered fish and chips, just not good, the fish coating was not crispy, very soft and chewy and was warm/cold as if they had it sitting under a heat lamp hoping someone would order it. Breakfast is always great here! This is located inside the Spotlight 29 Casino. Off the 10 freeway. We stopped by a little before 11am, lunch starts at 11am. Some of us ordered breakfast and others waited till 11am for lunch. My favorite here for breakfast is the egg white frittata, it comes with fruit but I asked for it with a side of hash browns! Tuesday night and it's not busy at 5.30 pm I asked if they cook burgers to temperature before ordering. The server told me yes. So my medium rare came well done. Coming home to the SGV from AZ, we knew we were going to stop to eat somewhere in the area. We chose Taproom 29 and it was a great choice. We shared the pastrami sandwich but changed the pumpernickel to sour dough. I know, I know but the wife isn't as adventurous as I am because I would have loved to try the pumpernickel. The service was really good and they had some of their private beers for $6 a pint. I like the thick full beers and tried the Old Legend Barleywine. Horrible experience on 12/31/25 with our take out dinner. Ribs were delicious but surf and turf were horrible in several ways. Contact manager Scarlet the following day. She requested a partial refund which was submitted . 12 days went by and she never contacted us with our request which was declined due to no evidence. We had to call her to find this out. She offered one comp meal. Our real disappointment was the handling she did as a manager that was unprofessional. Hopefully improvement in this area with her can help. I have been to this restaurant on numerous occasions with family, and with friends the service is top-notch and very welcoming and professional. The staff has always exceeded my expectations every time I've gone to enjoy a meal. The ambience can be common relaxing, or it can be a little louder than normal depending on if they have a sports game on or a televised fight on pay-per-view, I have never been disappointed with this restaurant in regards to the staff, the food and the atmosphere it is all amazing and if you are a beer drinker, they brew all their beers in house and I highly recommend the champion blonde. We stopped in with some friends for dinner before the Blues Traveler show. The restaurant is right at the main entrance to the casino and I didn't expect it to be this big OR this clean. Plenty of open space to people watch and tons of TV's to watch games if you "belly up" to the bar. Our server was excellent during our entire meal, going out of her way to make sure we were happy. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name. Three of us had the Cuban Sandwich and the other had the Pulled Pork Sandwich. You could choose fries or onion rings and get ready, you get a TON of food. I am of Cuban descent and I have had better sandwiches but this definitely passed. The onion rings I ordered were great. I did cut the sandwich in half as eating the entire thing would have induced a coma at our concert. In fact, we boxed three halves and retrieved them after the show. Two of us had the Tortoise IPA, while our wives had a Margarita and a Paloma. There were zero complaints. Oh, we did order the stuffed Bacon Wrapped Jalapenos. They were delicious and SPICY! One Star - Only because zero isn't an option Went to Taproom 29 with friends, ready to enjoy a nice avocado burger. Spoiler alert: the avocado was apparently in witness protection. I ordered it medium, and what I got was something between "mooing" and "horror movie." When I pointed out that my "avocado burger" was missing, well, avocado, our server Josh responded like I was trying to trick him on a game show. "Lift the bun," he said. Okay, fine. I lifted it. Still no avocado. He watched as I played "burger Jenga," removing lettuce, tomato, cheese--basically dismantling the thing like it was a biology lab dissection. Finally, I got to the patty, which was not medium but rare enough to be considered a biohazard. Even then, Josh seemed unsure. So, I did what any desperate diner would do--I pulled a piece off and showed him the still-bleeding center like it was Exhibit A in a court case. Eventually, after this meaty mess of drama, a new burger arrived. Well... kind of. By then, my friends had finished eating, paid their tab, and considered early retirement. And what did I get? A déjà vu disaster: same sad patty, this time with ONE microscopic slice of avocado hiding under the lettuce like it was afraid to be seen. I left the patty untouched--because once you've gone full CSI on your burger, the appetite's kinda gone. Considering the prices and the "do-it-yourself" burger inspection, I'll be avoiding Taproom 29 like a salad at a steakhouse. I have become a frequent visitor to the Taproom. While I miss the old buffet, I appreciate the food offerings available at Taproom 29. Service is usually good, though when busy, you may be forgotten. I've learned to sit at the bar, as I can sit immediately and service tends to be a little better. When I've requested a table, I'm usually made to wait. There are some long high-top tables that are great for larger groups. There are high top and low top tables. On the perimeter of the restaurant, there are low rails separating the casino from the bar area. There is a walk-up to-go area, to the left of the main entrance. There are a few standouts on the menu. I'm a fan of the cheese curds. It isn't common to find them in this area, so I like that they're an option. The nachos are top notch. Love that there are plenty of beans on them. The portion size is easily shared, especially if you add a protein. Fish and chips are good, though I wish they had steak fries instead of skinny fries. My absolute favorite, however, is the yakisoba noodles with tuna. Yakisoba noodles with a few vegetables, avocado, wonton strips, and tuna. It is particularly tasty with a bit of hot sauce. Love that dish. I recently became a fan of their carrot cake, too. Prices have gone up, some more than others. Food isn't quite the deal that it was even just a few months ago. They have a full bar and house brewed beers. I've tried most of the house beers. None of them are standouts to me, not bad but not great either. Because food prices have risen dramatically, I don't find myself going nearly as often. read more

BEWARE!!! Food is good. Margarita pizza is my fav! TV's all around...cool bar top. HOWEVER, service needs a major revamp and the checks presented to the patrons include a 20% gratuity!!! This is deceitful as they do not tell you that and when you get the bill, there is another line for an additional gratuity. As a customer, you don't even have a chance to provide a gratuity based on your service . The way that they do this is deceitful it's almost tip theft. I work in the hospitality industry, and we would always look out for servers, being deceitful and finding a way to charge customers, extra money and pocket it. we called our server on this and a guest overheard our conversation. He has been going there for years and this is the first time he's heard of it he was appalled. There's no management structure and this is not the first time that we have had a negative experience. The server was quicker this time, however, deceitful is terrible for the guests. read more

YUMMY FOOD ON TAP! I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant, after hearing it advertised over and over at the local Firebirds games I had to try it! I heard the pizzas and burgers are delicious and my were people right! I had a Margherita Pizza w/ fresh mozzarella, olive oil, garlic, tomato, fontina, etc. and all the ingredients were fresh! I was super hungry so I devoured a whole pizza almost on my own. Each bite was amazing! The crust was perfect, the pizza was NOT greasy. My only suggestion is that the pizza could've been a bit warmer, thankfully I was hungry and it didn't come out cold but it was beginning to get cold after a few short minutes. Not sure if it was kept out too long or not? My party also tried the cubano sandwich and June salad , both got a thumbs up. We noticed quite a few people were ordering pick-up dinners at the convenient window up front. Taproom 29 is certainly popular! Service was a bit slow, it took a bit for us to be seen. The sauce, cheese, and toppings are all amazing. I could go for a slice or two right now! The Caesar salad was also great, as well as the chicken tenders and fries. We've been going to the taproom for a long time. We always usually go on Wednesdays for the prime rib. We went last night and we had the worst service ever. We had a Waitress called Amanda and she was horrible so unfortunately it wrecked our whole meal. She off and then we had to ask her for our fixings for our baked potatoes. Only downfall was they automatically put gratuity on parties of six or more and our server only checked on us once and I had to go hunting for ranch and to go boxes.
