I went here for a date night with my wife she ordered a burger and I ordered the new ravioli when she got her burger it was completely burnt on the bottom and tough as well as it was the whisky bacon burger and it had almost no sauce on it when I got mine the pasta was rubbery and cold so I sent it back for a new one my wife's was so bad she canceled the order so my second time getting it the noodles were then overcooked and the chicken was so salty I literally couldn't finish it it was like I threw a whole salt packet in my mouth we only got seen by our waiter once until we called for a manager and then they tried to double charge me for the pasta and the burger we had canceled! One of my relatives gave my fiance and I an Applebees gift certificate. A very nice gesture not knowing our utter disdain for the terrible, always-frozen never-fresh food of a ridiculous chain-joke. The location does have some decent service. We had a well-meaning waitress who didn't do anything wrong in an overly-busy section. I ordered a floppy, leaking "steak" which, I kid you not, had two veins in it. The sort of meat reserved for Taco Bell. It came with some still-cold-in-the-middle broccoli and a watered-down cocktail. This isn't news. You can probably get better food out of a Walmart dumpster than at an Applebees. Any Applebees. But the service at this location isn't bad if you're the kind of person who's impressed by the taste of paint then, I guess, go for it. read more

Dirtiest restaurant I've been to in awhile. Walked in, the hostess was rude and sat us at a dirty table. I told her it was dirty and she was like "yup I know. I'll find someone to wipe it for you." You never seat someone at an already dirty table. We had to ask for new silverware about 5 times bc the silverware was dirty with food baked onto it. My glass was dirty too but I didn't complain. Then my gloves fell on the floor and I went to pick them up and the floor couldn't have been dirtier too. Looked like the booth hadn't been swept out in months. My fiancee's steak was tough, do not eat here. It's dirty and clearly poorly managed. read more

Absolute worst food experience. Wife and I ordered two steak dinners, and requested each steak to be cooked medium. My wife's steak came out well done and mine ended up being rare. Not only were the steaks cooked incorrectly, but the quality was horrendous. Even though mine looked rare, there was no juice coming out. It was almost as if the steak was sitting around for a while or maybe even microwaved. The veggies also looked microwaved. We sent the food back and didn't order anything else and left. The manager knew about the situation and never said a word to us. I've never left a review before but felt compelled to write this based on the experience. We had such a bad experience I don't think we'll ever visit another Applebee's restaurant again. read more

We went into this Applebees for my granddaughter's birthday. I was actually disappointed. First the good, there was not much wait at 6:00 on a Wednesday, our food was good and prepared to our order. Now for the downfall- the service. Our server was not friendly, she was matter of fact and bordered on grumpy. She in fact told us, "I'm not with it tonight". We had to remind her about our granddaughter's drink. She did not check with us about our food until we were half-way finished. She came and took an app plate with food still on it and did not ask if we were finished. She never asked us if we wanted anything more (except dessert as she took the app plate.) She did not ever clear my daughter's plate, As she took the app plate she asked how we were paying and when I replied "with a card" I felt she was rude in the way she said,"good, you do it here" and pointed to the machine on the table." While we were eating I was looking for her to get my granddaughter a refill and she was no where to be found on the floor. VERY DISAPPOINTING. I'm glad the food tasted good. read more

I went here for a dinner with a group of friends to.enjoy an evening with them, but honestly left rather disappointed. With my order I had requested that what my order not contain an ingredient that I am allergic to and when I brought this to the manager's attention, he simply took the dish into the back and removed the topping that I'm allergic to. Which defeated the purpose of asking for it not being being on the dish I had ordered. Thankfully my allergy isn't super extreme, but if one does have a more serve allergy, be careful when going to this particular location. read more

Applebee's is normally a great place to eat. My son wanted to eat here for his birthday today. Unfortunately an event that should have been pleasant turned out to be very disappointing and sad. Our host was fantastic and got us seated immediately. Our server did not come for the initial greeting for approximately 5 minutes. We placed our drink order as well as our meal order on our first contact after our drink order was placed. Several families came in after us and ate while we waited for our order. We finally got our food about 40 minutes after the order was placed. While we were eating our waitress came over and placed the bill on the table and walked away. When she came back I asked her why the order took so long and she nonchalantly said she did not know and offered to get her manager. The manager listened but offered no explanation for the poor service. He did take care of our meal but this was not an issue of money and we ultimately felt like we were a bother the entire time (1 hour 45 minutes) we were in the restaurant. If I could have left a lower rating I would have but I can't. This experience was simply unacceptable and I pray nobody else has to be treated this way. read more

Always greeted by an energetic host, and sat in a clean booth with the server very close behind. The server is always attentive to detail and the good comes out hot and as ordered. I took my friend's six year old daughter here and she loved it. A great Applebee's for any occasion. read more

This is your typical American restaurant. They have great burgers and pretty decent drinks. I will say that one time I went here and ordered some shrimp and I had food poisoning the next day it was pretty bad. But I do still eat here just not going to eat the seafood options. read more

I have never been more disappointed in not only the food, but the service as well. Went in for lunch the place was pretty empty, the hostess was extremely unfriendly and didn't want to give us a different table when we asked (the sun was shining in our face), the waiter was ridiculously slow, we both ordered steak quesadilla and when they finally came to the table they were not good and when I opened them up there wasn't even any steak in them. Prices have gotten more expensive over the last few years. A lot of it is no longer simple stuff. About 80% of the menu I'm allergic to. I don't want to go anymore because I might end up going to the hospital. Used to be a kid friendly, fun, laid back environment but now has gotten more uptight. The last time I went the waitress was practically shoving me and my family out the door. And it was family visit from out of state o hadn't seen in years. We came to eat and drink and talk but she gave us a check with out asking if we wanted dessert and before we even finished our food! That was the one on Westnedge in Portage Mi near target. The Gull rd one was nice. But still with that menu. I miss the oriental chicken wrap. I used to order it with out the almonds. It was my favorite. Or make your own burger. Steak without mushroom sauce that'll send me to the hospital. Just wish the menu would change back some read more

This is an okay restaurant. The service is good and the food is good but nothing about it is very unique which is what I really enjoy about my favorite places. I'm surprised there are so few reviews since this location has been open quite a while and is in a busy location. Admittedly I've been here dozens of times. It's convenient to where we live and shop. Things I like: menu changes on a regular basis adding new items to try, never a wait, quick service 90% of the time. This visit we arrived around 3 on a Friday afternoon. Were seated right away. Our server took quite a while to stop by our table. Not sure what the hold up was.... A small group of servers and the manager where just chatting at the bar. Eventually she showed up to get our drink order. Got a couple bar drinks which took a pretty long time considering how busy or should I say how not busy they were. Ordered some happy hour apps, only $3 each, nice...but apparently for $3 you get just 4 cheese sticks, not sure that nearly $1 a cheese stick is a good deal, but anyway. Meals, clubhouse grill- good, I like that they have started using real turkey versus pressed lunch meat. Hubby had a burger and said their new burgers were much improved. I wasn't super impressed with this visit, but simply based on location I imagine we'll be back by at some point. read more

I HATED IT HERE! I would have never go here again not only were they slow they had poor service poor communication poor work ethics. we arrived at the restaurant at 8 p.m. and left at 10 p.m. not because me and my family was having a good time it was because we had to wait so long for our food to come out and it wasn't even busy. My sister literally got her food at 9:30 and she had chicken fajitas how long does it take to make chicken fajitas seriously. Not to mention after we specifically asked for our food to be nice and hot it came out cold and they had a problem with heating it up.And then one of the servers call herself arguing with me because she said some smart words to my ten-year-old daughter and I cussed her ass out she was so unprofessional. after a horrible night we still paid for the meal wasn't any complimentary anything the manager seemed like she didn't care she was nonchalant about everything didn't try to make our night better. Now this place has the best customer service I have ever experienced. You can tell they work really hard at it, which is surprising considering most customers are travelers. Our waiter was outgoing, shook our hands, checked on our table very frequently, and was very genuine. Not only did the manager come by to every table to ask if anyone needed anything, but so did any staff member that was passing by. Truly a great, clean environment and the food was just a good. The 4 cheese mac and cheese was very popular amongst our table and others surrounding. There is nothing I would change about this place! read more

I didnt used to be a fan of applebees but have recently started going back as their food selection appears to have gotten better. The boneless wings are delicious! The atmosphere is kept at a dull roar with the bar being the focal point of the restaurant. Staff is hjt and miss, recent visit delt with "alex" who seemed to have issues making basic change and was pushy when asked questions about selections on the menu.
