I've been a fan of Applebees in my adult years. For: great for large groups of friends or family, traveling, and casual happy hours (3-6 pm), this apple bee is no different. Our waitress was supremely busy, and this one is understaffed; it's a miracle we got our food quickly, our alcohol, and just a place to lounge for the next 1.5 hours over food. Do yourself a favor and get the Cheetos bone-in wings and pretzel sticks (sticks pair with a honey mustard dip and a Parmesan sauce). Great to go with alcohol. October is around the corner! And I always think of giant bread pretzels during this time of the year. You're already spending so much on gas and car rentals to get to crater lake national park. Help yourself to some warm food for a large group (Look at our receipt). They somehow maintained the overall quality of their food no matter which one I've been hitting up the last two years. This is for Applebees... we took out a pick up order and I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger. Boy was i disappointed! When i got the burger there were THREE pieces of mushrooms on it. THREE small little slivers, and I really looked for more for sure. Please don't advertise a MUSHROOM burger if you can't or won't put mushrooms on it. Do me a favor and looked the picture of the bourbon Street mushroom swiss burger on line and tell me if that pic of the burger looks like it only contained THREE small slivers of mushrooms on it. I've never been one to rely solely on reviews for any type of restaurant. I believe everyone has their own experience however in this case I would say the reviews are pretty accurate. Came in last night and got a 12oz ribeye, 4 cheese Mac and fries. The ribeye I asked for medium well and it came out just under that. Not mad. The 4 cheese Mac was made with penne pasta?? Never seen that before. Mac and cheese was pretty subpar nothing spectacular about it. The fries were almost completely inedible. Hard as rocks almost and no fluff whatsoever. I cannot fathom how you can overcook fries on a slow night but I digress. Have to give the food overall a 5/10. Service however was great. Bartender was friendly and attentive despite it being pretty slow. read more

We are regular's and have enjoyed Applebees for years. The "New" ihop/applebees is still finding its way. The women's restroom could be the walk-in freezer it's extremely cold and I had the chicken pasta which the chicken was good but the pasta was a congealed mass stuck together like yesterday's pasta. On vacation and stopped at Applebee's. Terrible experience all around. The staff were incredibly rude and seemed clueless about even the most basic questions every inquiry had to be run by management, which made everything take twice as long. It felt like no one knew what they were doing. I ordered the boneless buffalo wings, and they came out completely burnt. Dry, hard, and barely edible. Definitely not worth the wait or the price. To top it all off, the place had a horrible smell like wet dog and the overall ambiance was just uncomfortable. Dingy lighting, unclean surfaces, and zero atmosphere. Won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

This Applebee's is now half IHOP after being closed for a while for remodeling. They did a great job. The bar is in the center of the restaurant while tables and booths line the perimeter. TVs can be viewed from every seat. Went this morning for breakfast and then in the afternoon for lunch. The food was good, the servers were attentive and the restaurant was clean. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely terrible service; never received any of our correct orders for the All You Can Eat, or any of our drink refills. Ordered a summertime sip, and it sat at the bar for over 10 minutes before I walked up and asked for it. Waitress tried, but miserably failed. Will never return to this location. read more

The only reason why I am giving it one star and not zero stars is because our waiter was nice. Otherwise, we had to wait 2 hours for our food! I am not exaggerating....literally 2 hours. "JUKE BOX FOLLOW-UP" ~ I posted an alert regarding the new music system they installed (about 2 weeks ago). I wrote the corporate president complaining about the volume. I have since learned from the local manager (John) that the V.P. from corporate called him, and he was instructed on ways to make the volume adjustable. I did notice an improvement when I returned. Arrived in Klamath Falls after 8pm as we were driving up to Crater Lake the next day. Went into Applebees as it was one of the few places open. First thing I noticed was the smell. The place smells awful to me. Like unwashed dog in a smokers house. Not a great first impression. The staff was pleasant and appeared overworked. Too many tables/customers per server. They had a notice at the front that they charged a 2% surcharge for using a credit/debit card. While I've seen this before, never at a major chain restaurant. The poor server cleaned a table and got us seated. I ordered water with my food and the server asked if I'd like lemon in it. I declined, but after I received the water I guessed as to why. The water tastes awful. My first thought was maybe it's a Klamath Falls problem, but after dining elsewhere the next day and drinking water at the hotel, I think it's a problem with something here. Maybe the ice machine, no clue. Ended up ordering a Pepsi as the water was undrinkable. Food was served pretty quickly and was adequate. I'd like to say again, the service was not the problem here. I have autism and actually left my special weighted jacket behind. I called a couple hours later when i got home, and a nice young man found it and said he put my name and number on it. I told him I would be back in town n 3 days as its a 2.5 hour drive to get back, so please pin my name and number on the jacket. He said he would., and he would put it in the closet. I showed up.. no one can find the jacket.. but they do find my name and number in the closet Someone took my jacket from lost and found. Update: Stacy and Crew felt bad that employee who stole my jacket didn't return it, so they gathered up cash among themselves and sent me $60 to help cover the cost of jacket. Use to be a great place to eat about three years ago! We loved to bring our kids and friends for a nice sit down dinner! We still try it every few min because let's be honest an affordable restaurant with my big family in Klamath falls is limited. Service is absolutely ridiculous. Each time we go we end up sitting for almost 45 minutes before we even get drinks or order. Food takes forever! When it shows up it's been sitting a while. Each time we come our table gets filled with our dishes and they won't take it till we move it to another table (I hate doing that!) plus getting any kind of refill is like pulling teeth. Once we finish it takes an arm and a leg to get our check and they don't let us pay at the register (which would be fine but waiting 30min till they might come back to take my payment is really frustrating) I've had to each time go up to workers and ask for help but they still take forever to help us out. I haven't been to Applebee's in over 8 years and was skeptical to try but I wasn't disappointed. The service was good and staff were friendly. We used the 2 entree and appetizer for $20 deal which is worth a try and has plenty of options to chose from. The portions were huge, they don't compromise with the portions if you get the deal which is great. I loved the 3 cheese pasta, other entrees were good as well. Worth a try. read more

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews for this place. We had an excellent time here with food and drinks for happy hour. Server was very kind and thoughtful. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was tasty, up to Applebee's standards. We gladly would come back here when traveling through this area. We don't even bother going into Applebee's anymore. It takes forever to get someone to wait on your table and the food tastes like they heated it up in the microwave before serving it. My steak wasn't even edible. Our waiter didn't even come back to our table to check on us after delivering the food. We had to get up without our receipt and go to the cashier and ask for it so we could pay. The icing on the cake is that it takes forever to get the food. We went yesterday about 3ish. After standing at the front door for about 5 minutes with 3 workers looking at us while doing nothing we finally got help. We got sat. There was maybe 3-4 other tables sat and it took us quite a bit for a server to come by and get our drinks. We ordered an appetizer ourselves on the machine on the tables. Once we got it which was artichoke dip it was burnt. So we only got to eat half since the other half was burnt. I used to be a server so I get it but when you aren't busy and see your tables food is messed up.... ask the cooks for a remake. Our server wasn't very happy. Our food was ok. I am so sorry that I had to give this one experience a 1 star despite the pandemic. We had traveled in from out of town and had stayed at Shiloh Inn. The hotel had suggested we get food here due to their own restaurant being closed. We placed the order and came by to pick it up 20 minutes later. The waitress originally handed us two bags but said no, these weren't our orders. She came back to give us a bag that supposedly was our orders. As we walked to the car, I had a suspicion that it was not due to the amount of boxes in the bag. We had orders 4 items total and there were only three boxes. We came back in and they went to look at what had happened. We waited for about 10 minutes before she came back to explain that she had given our orders to someone else and they are immediately working on our orders now. As a starving customer, we waited patiently for another 20 minutes before our orders came out. This is totaling a hour after we had placed our orders! Okay, no problem our food is here, they apologized and gave us some complementary entree cards for next time. We appreciated this. Now....when we got back to the hotel. Opened the bag, not only was there no utensils...our order was missing a salad. I was so disappointed. I have not visited an Applebee's in a long time, this experience has scarred me from coming back. They were given too many chances to make things right and unfortunately, they failed at the very end. This is the worst place to eat dinner. We got there at 5pm & ordered & got our food served only 1 hour after we complained to two servers. We asked why other tables got their orders & almost finished their dinner, but our table was totally forgotten for an hour! The server gave us the reason The food we ordered were "taking longer to cook" compared to other tables! The steak supposed to be medium pink- come as hard & dark; south western salad had "brown avocado", my kid's meal with strawberry yogurt supposed to eat with folk coz there was no spoon given & server was hard to call. No drink refills no clearing of plates and riblets came out cold 2 times so I ended up just not eating. The manager took off riblets and said he gave us additional 15% off. I've come to the restaurant several times and I've been disappointed by the food that was served. The cooks obviously don't read very well. I ordered a bacon cheese burger medium rare, Swiss cheese, no pickles, no onions, and coleslaw instead of fries. The only thing that they got was the Swiss cheese. The burger was dry because it was well done. I don't eat burgers often and when I want one and I'm paying over$10, it better be made the way I ask and the juice from the burger should be juicy and running down my hand. Service was great. Let me start at the very beginning of our experience. My husband and I walked into the to Applebees and was instantly hit with a strong, horrible smell! It was NOT food burning or anything coming from the kitchen. The best I can describe is rot or something coming from the inside of the building. We were seated right away. By the time we got to the table, we decided to order our food to go as we could not handle the awful smell. We were greeted by a friendly waitress who took our order and suggested I order a drink from the bar while I wait. I agreed. My drink never came, so I had to stop another waitress to cancel my drink because I would not have time to drink it before my dinner would be ready. A few minutes later, the bar tender came and offered to get my drink to go. She went out of her way to be helpful. We waited for our food for an unreasonably long, long, long time! Once our food arrived in its to~go bag, it was another 20 minutes before we left the restaurant because it took our waitress that long to take and run our cc, get to-go condiments and plastic silver wear and napkins. Needless to say, by the time we got to our hotel, our food was completely cold! Could not even eat the fries. My husbands steak was only cooked on one side and so tough and undercooked that he couldn't eat it. The drinks from the bar were horrible. It was our absolute worst experience we have ever had at an Applebees!!! read more
