Stopped by to pick up order to go today. Rec'd bad service and left. I come here all the time and had decided I was never going back. I was so upset so I called store and spoke to Steve to general manager. He was nice. Professional. Listened to me. Friendly and talked me into coming back and having dinner on them. He personally came to car and took order. He prepared the order and it was fabulous. I got 2 for 20.00. Bourbon street chicken and potatoes. Really good and penne pasta for dinner tomorrow. We went here for dinner last night and the service was wonderful and prompt, the food was very good, although I don't like their fries. I used to like their fries but I haven't had them in a long time. I don't like them now. Too bad, they used to be awesome! We had a mix-up with paying our bill and the manager handled it awesomely. I'm so sad to report that ...my last post on whether this was a good place to eat...was likely a fluke. We visited tonight (Thursday night)....took forever to get served...was often ignored...food was awful. The mozzarella sticks appetizers were cold. The oriental chicken salad and shrimp were so over cooked ...they tasted and looked like they had been fried twice. All the food at the table was lukewarm...and worst of all ...they removed the sweet potato fries from the menu...and those were the only thing they cooked that tasted good ...even if they were cold! This is one of the worst Applebee's I've been to. On several occasions I've been and waited at the door for like 10 minutes to be seaters. One of the hostess was literally in the corner of the restaurant having a conversation all while me and my wife were starving. My wife is not as nice as me btw. Service- If you ever are seated then depending on the night you may have a decent waiter. Food - I've had cold fries delivered in many occasions. My burgers are never cooked the way I order them. I'm not picky, but some things are simply noticeable. If I order a little pink, then I expect to see it when I cut the burger. I literally live in Knightdale but as many others, I drive to Triangle Town Centers location because of how horrible this locations service is. Hopefully they get the help they deserve. read more

Applebee's never fails to save the day. We had a party of 6 walk in Sunday night to do the promotion on the endless riblets and tenders. We were seated decently quickly as the place was packed and Jess efficiently took our order. She shortly after got out drinks to the table and took our orders. Food came out well, the endless chicken and riblets were amazing although I was unable to sample the $2 beer, I did order a drink which I though to be a bit expensive at $10. This place is just horrible. Service is ridiculous. EVERYONE acts like they have an attitude. The manager does not know how to manage. We sat at our table for 25 minutes before we had to ask if the waiter was planning on coming to the table to atleast get our drink order. If I could give it -5 stars I would. The food had no seasoning, we had to ask for drink refills, table stayed a mess. We will NEVER go here again. My family and I went to Applebees for the first time in a while. Our server Olivia A was one of the best servers in my 48 years on this earth. I have eaten at many expensive restaurants, Ritz carlton, Sullivans, Mortons etc. She could stand up to any of the servers that I have had over the years. She was sweet, listened and even when our food took a little while she was sincere. I just wanted to say thank you for her service and I hope she knows how great she is as a waitress. read more

Disappointed. I ordered two Caesar salads with my entrees and they were made with iceberg lettuce. Caesar salads are not made with iceberg but with romaine. Overpriced for a container of cheap and non nutritional lettuce. My entree was dry and it was supposed to be alfredo. Will not be returning. The curbside service was excellent though. read more

I want to give a compliment and complain about the services. First of all, I want to thank Maya our server for going above and beyond and Nolan as well. Now here is the bad things. Today was my little brother's graduation and we wanted to go out to eat. When I got there I asked if they can sit 7 people. Maya and Nolan were very polite and willing to sit us and serve my family. But when the hostess came (Lee I think) she automatically was rude and like trying to get me to leave and make excuses about we don't have staff. They had 4 waiters really and three tables occupied ? Then Nolan try to get one server to take us and guess what she ignored them and walked away and said no, than another server came up and they told her the number and she FLAT OUT SAID "OHH NO I'M GOOD". Like really? And she said that in front of me. I was already to planning to leave, when Maya was like I'll take the table. And it wasn't her turn or her section. (The two females that rejected my family are African American) As we got sat down, a lot of more family from the graduation came in trying to have dinners but they kept rejecting them because nobody wanted more than 6 people table. There was a 18 people table and of course same thing happen to me but this time Nolan stepped up and took the table while everyone else want to be lazy. I worked at this location a few years back so i may be a little biased. My husband and i came here for lunch today and our food was delicious. My boyfriend and I went to Applebee's tonight in hopes they would still have the $1 Margaritas and not only did they have it, the service was amazing. Callie Z. was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing- friendly, funny, and we held great conversation with her basically the whole time we were there. I never tip over 20% but I did for her. It was a lazy Sunday evening and we didn't want to travel far for dinner and so we decided not to be Yelp snobs and stopped by the neigbourhood Applebee's. Our waitress told us that they had just revamped their menu, and now had a wood-fired grill that made all of their meat tastier. Intrigued, I decided to try their pork chop. It turned out excellent! Thick slab of bone-in pork chop, very well seasoned, tender and juicy on the inside. It came with a really strange apple chutney that I did not like, I should've probably just ordered it plain. The side of maple pecan sweet potatoes was really good, and garlic green beans were....green beans. My partner got some fried chicken with brown gravy and that was really good too. We also tried an appetizer sampler, and their boneless buffalo wings were actually pretty good. Desserts were a mixed bag. My partner got a blondie with vanilla ice cream that was freshly made in-house and was really good. I got a banana cheesecake that was absolutely horrible-- it had the consistency of a mousse and had a ton of articificial banana flavoring. Our service was really good, however the food isn't what it should've been. The bourbon chicken and shrimp was ok but the potato wedges were overcooked. This was my first time going to Applebee's and am glad I went to this one. I was visiting NC and it was my last night so my friends and I decided to check it out. It was late (11pm) so there were only a few people. We were seated and Brandon brought us the menu. Since we've never been to Applebee's, we had some questions and Brandon took his time to explain and recommend their best. The food came within 15 mins. It was delicious! Restrooms were decent and clean which I think is very important. The service was the best! Brandon surpassed our expectations! Over all, it was a great experience and I would recommend anyone to check this Applebee's out. I will definitely come back the next time am in NC. read more

Honestly in the food chain wasteland that is Knightdale this place has dropped to a new low. The service here has never been particularly good and I know some of the employees. I waited and waited for someone to ask me if I wanted something to drink after being seated. I have come here before for the burger deal but decided on something different instead. This time the food was just not edible. Overcooked, dry, flavorless, seemed like it had been sitting around for awhile. I just flat out refused to eat my main course. Tonight was my daughter's birthday dinner and she chose Applebees. It was not overly crowded, but the service was awful and the food took forever to arrive! Almost all of our orders were wrong. My daughter had to wait an additional 15 minutes for her kid's meal burger and we didn't get our 2 for $20 bacon cheeseburgers until 20 minutes after that. To add insult to injury the food was awful. We've eaten at this Applebee's before so we didn't hesitate to come here. We got here and we were seated immediately. After waiting 15mins to have our first visit from our waitress, my wife went looking for someone to take our water orders. After a few more mins of them not showing up with the water, the manager came by and ensured us if we stayed our experience would be much better. He did ensure we got our food but not that it was good. I got fiesta lime chicken. The chicken came out with almost no sauce, very few tortillas, about half a serving of rice, and a lemon rather than the traditional lime. The few tortillas that were brought out were stale and the lemon was dry. The other plates brought out were as they should have been. We continued to have crappy service throughout the meal. I will eat at Applebee's again, but not this one. I would suggest eating at a different Applebee's. read more

The staff is very friendly and the food is excellent and served hot! Our server's name was Elliott and took great care of us! Probably one of the only consistently good restaurants in the town of Knightdale. Our family eats here consistently and other than a few rare occasions, have had excellent service and food. The only hiccups we've experienced are attitude with a few staff members that to my knowledge are no longer employed here. Gross. Applebee's never fails to disappoint. My last visit was over 8 years ago and I swore never again but then, I got a gift card. After staring at it for many months, timing aligned and we went. 4:30 on a Wednesday, hardly anyone there, cleanish, and nicely air conditioned( this will have been the best part but it was over 100 so nothing to sneeze at). My fiancé got the brunch burger and liked it. However it should be named The Clogger for the amount of cholesterol it serves up. Luckily he's a cross fitter, so it won't kill him to do that occasionally. If you are looking to get rid of a spouse, highly suggest this dish. I got the steak, medium, w mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. I know my way around a steak and this was some combination of frozen microwaved or both.....something was off. It seemed to have a little pink when it came but turned totally well and dry. No idea how thats even possible, this the microwave suspicion. Though mashed potatoes are the cheapest item to produce, there was precious little on the plate but they were tasty. I was glad to see the steamed broccoli wasn't drenched in butter. It may have been the best food item... I ordered the pretzel sticks halfway through because no one had asked if we wanted anything else in our long wait and they looked great. They came fast and while the bread part was amazing, smelling like fresh funnel cake, the cheese dip seemed to have large granulated salt dumped on top. I had to spit out my first bite, it was like biting a block of salt. When the waitress came to clear she made fun of us for not finishing them instead of asking if anything was wrong, which was awkward. Let me start off by saying the employee turnover rate seems very high the wait staff takes very long on a very slow evening and don't seem to have any care. when a order is placed it's never right they don't listen for anything it seems like. Dinner tonight was nice even though we had to send a meal back. The mac and cheese with chicken tenders tasted very strongly of onions which we had been assured when it was ordered that there were no onions whatsoever. We were able to switch to a fish and chips which was fine. So I go over and see a girl working behind the bar and she looked busy so I stood there and waited for her to help but she didn't even acknowledge me for 5 minutes or so.
