Applebee's was one of our favorite restaurants about 11 years ago back in West Virginia in a location that had only a few non chain type restaurants. My favorite was the steak which seemed to be always cooked properly and was tender. I think that their ability to keep up the quality of their restaurants nationwide is to be commended. Their food is not necessarily the best but it is good. Since we like some other chain types better, we have not gone to the Applebee's very often in this area. We tend to support local non chain restaurants much more often. read more

Great wantons, but the waiter didn't seem properly trained. He wasn't able to tell me what kind of salad dressings were available nor did he know which items on the menu would be appropriate for someone with a lactose allergy. I am sure that with time this guy will be better; however, with proper training this could have been a five star experience. read more

Sat so We could see 3 different TVs. Asked to see Western Conference NHL game. Manager came to say they only had 5 boxes to control all TVs and all were on requested channels. NBA playoff I understand, a Cubs/Atlanta baseball game maybe but I asked what about the poker game. I was told "That's Espn, it's not just poker". Wrong, poker was on the whole time. If my 80 year old diabetic mom didn't need to eat, our party of 5 would have left before ordering. The restaurant was about half full but our food took 20 minutes to come out. Mashed potatoes were cold and silverware was dirty. Manager corrected both of those problems. read more

everyone here was racist and the waiters were very impatient and rude, don't eat her especially if you're anti racist. The dishes were dirty and the staff were very rude and hostile towards my entire family, just for not knowing what we wanted to drink, they didn't have ben give us time to order. read more

Tried to order two different menu items and they said they where out of steak, what kind of place runs out of steak, I'll tell you what kind, one with bad management!!! I've eaten at a lot of Applebees in my day, all over even overseas and I've never ran into a worse ran estabishment, makes me want to not take a chance on one again, to many choices of where to spend my hard earned retirement money. Finally spotted the manager he was on his cell phone texting at end of the bar... The bartender paid more attention to her sister and her boyfriend at the bar that after my alternit food order came I had to flag her down for silverware so I could eat however she is pretty LOL... The preparation of the Thai Shrimp Salad was no where near the picture on the menu. We had the same salad in Yuma, AZ the day before and it was picture perfect and delicious. The salad at this location was half the size and contained different ingredients than the menu. The server seemed uninterested in my comments. read more

Our waitress was nice enough, the manager the night we were there was so less than responsive. A Wednesday evening, LOUD, hip-hop, while cool for a weekend dance club, not exactly conducive for a relaxing dinner. When the manager was spoken to he basically ignored the fact that not all the customers that evening where pleased. The speaker system isn't designed to deal with that intensity of tones and the static was very unpleasant. The food was alright, not stunning, just alright. Overall, next time we'll go elsewhere. read more

My husband and I were on a long trip and stopped here for dinner. We had a coupon for Mozzarella sticks from another location, which they would not take. I understand that each franchise works a little differently but this is the ONLY location we have visited that did not honor ANY kind of military discount. I contacted Applebee's to express my concern over this and was contacted by the Area Director who said they had moved away from it because it was abused. I find it highly unfortunate that they would punish those who have served this country because of the irresponsibility of others. We will not be visiting ANY of the locations in Las Cruces or El Paso on future trips through. read more

Ate lunch here today. Shared the $20.00 meal. Nice service, exchanged our buffalo wings as the sauce was not to our liking, the plain wings were great. My oriental salad, and his pasta was good. We recommend explaining at the beginning of service that the bill is on the little table computer, as we thought waiter was ignoring us for check out. He was kind to explain about their computer programs. We would eat here again. read more

Came here two days in a row. Car side to go one day 15 mins after I got here. Next day an additional 10 mins. Both times got apologies as practiced as seems. Second night simply asked for vinegar for my salad. I only received oil in my salad. I would give them zeros if possible. Restaurant is around all the hotels in the area, so you get a lot of road warriors stopping in at the bar after a long day of driving. Applebees always has good drink specials and decent food. Only issue was the bartender lacked friendliness and took forever to refill drinks. Other than that, its Applebees, you know what youre going to get. read more

No half priced apps or 2-4-1's like the Applebee's in Florida... But the Amber Bock is delicious! The fries were good and the pulled pork burger was also good. I would visit this place again. Let's party, Las Cruces! read more

While the food is the same as any Applebee's...the service at this one is excellent. It was a short 100 yard walk from our hotel and we were greeted at the door. If you stay at the Marriott, do yourself a favor and cross the parking lot to this Applebee's. read more

Was on a business trip in Las Cruces for 3 nights. I live 3 hours north in Albuquerque. I have been to this AB's before and have had no complaints. In fact I came last night and had no issues besides the nationwide lime shortage. Anyway 1) ordered steak quesadilla, 10 minutes later incompetent server came back and said theRE was no steak quesadillas. 2) ordered chicken quesadilla with no pico de gallo due to my onion allergy. Received a cheese with bacon quesadilla. Informed manager who stated "my friend got yours by accident " and he switched them out without having the decency to recognize his "friends" had onions. So new one came out. 2) I ordered a lemon drop SHOT. I was delivered a lemon drop martini which was $5 more then the shot. I let the waitress know and she stated if I wanted to keep the martini she would adjust the price. I said ok. 3) mid drink some bitch ass waitress came and asked if I wanted a shot or martini. I reiterated I had wanted a shot but the other waitress said she would adjust the price. Anyway she took my half drank martini and brought me a nasty ass shot that was all sweet and sour. I immediately called over the manager and while talking to him was receiving mad dogs and dirty looks from this ghetto new waitress who wasn't even my original waitress. Manager said he was sorry and I paid the tab with an extra beer accrued that I never ordered. So to sum it all up I will never go AB's again even in my home town. read more
