Time was getting away from us so we headed to Farley's for dinner. Set up like a D&B, but on a small scale, we sat near the bar area. The menu is vast, offering typical sports bar items with a southwestern twist. I ordered to Taco salad while the kids got chicken tenders and we got onion rings for the table. The portions are generous, that's for sure! The rings were good, though heavily battered. The taco salad was descent, but I'd say it was less salad and more just taco without the tortillas. The flavor was fine. Our server was really nice though, constantly checking in on us to see if everything was good. First time here, visiting from out of town. Cool place, the Smokey smell from the woodfire pizza oven was like a campground (if you like that thing). Unique decorations and themes...keeps your eyes wandering. Server was attentive, friendly, and professional. Maybe a little too serious....no smiles, LOL. Food was yummy. Second time at Farley's. Their pizza is really good, so don't want this review to take away from that. I had the fish and chips which were not good at all. Frozen fish (including the batter) and frozen fries. It almost tasted like paste. To make matters worse, this is one of those places that charges you $1 for a small container of ranch. Come on guys. Figure out your food cost so that you don't need to nickel and dime people eating at your restaurant. There are so many other places in the area, you need to up your game. read more

This review is for Farley's in Roswell, NM. My review is not on the food but on the place itself. Traveling with my teenaged niece and my dog, we went because it was pet friendly and they had mac n cheese. We needed to sit on the patio of course, no problem. We arrived and the pigeon poop was outrageous at the entrance. The host went to seat us outside and the poop was worse. No exaggeration, I wish I had photographed it, poop and feathers covered the ground, the tables and the chairs. I asked if there were any clean areas and he looked around and pointed to one lonely table in the glaring sun, no thanks. I was so disgusted, I told him we could not eat here, that this was unsanitary and just too much poop and filth everywhere. He told me he agreed totally and didn't blame us for leaving. This place should be shut down by the county health department, it was that bad! We promptly left and went to Peppers Bar and Grill instead. read more

In the first moments everything was fine. Order went in and we didn't think anything of it. The appetizer came out and it was cold, we over looked it because being in the service industry things happen. Then our main course all came out one at a time with 2-4 minutes in between them the order was incorrect and missing food. The server said it was kitchens fault as we watched her re enter the order. Management said they would add a discount but once we closed out it was a 10% to the one entree rather what was said. Though paying for our pool time, and buying us one app we were thoroughly disappointed with service and management and will not be returning. read more

I hate to be this guy, but this was institutional failure. We got the restaurant before kickoff of the Thursday night game Philly vs Washington. We ordered at the beginning of the game. Three tables came and left. Our APPETIZER didn't show up until less than three minutes left in the first half. Over an hour later. And it was burnt to a crisp. Even at that point, no word on our actual meal. We asked to speak to a manager, and this is where our patience wore out. The manager did come over. Said almost nothing to us but offered our food "bc it was ready" at a discount and to go. Problem was, it wasn't ready. It was another 10 plus minutes and very obviously thrown together. And then the manager was no where to be found. No discounted ticket. No ticket at all. My super issue is that after requesting the manger, he did not see this through to the end. Our poor server was trying but had zero support. He should have been the one to secure and deliver the food as well as cash us out. But we didn't even get an apology from him. We stopped for lunch having never dined here before. It is quite a large restaurant with bar and sports vibes. Nice decor and super friendly staff. Our waitress was Cameron and she was great. Very friendly and attentive. the food however, wasn't as great. The cheese pizza had a soft crust and had cheddar cheese which is not what you find on most pizzas. My husband had the ground round with gravy and mashed potatoes. The size of the ground round was good sized and the mashed potatoes and ground steak were good, but the gravy was pretty mediocre. This is a really fun place. Neat, clean interior. Service was outstanding. The green chile wontons were excellent. Thousand Island dressing was delicious. Hubs said his CFS was not his favorite. The wood fire pizza was not as expected, but the ingredients were all fresh. We would def try again, but select different main dishes. He carries this restaurant with a passion and I hate to let bad bosses ruin the companionship we have built. Excellent place to have a home-cooked meal. Fried Catfish is always served hot, and the service is fast. I honestly don't care about the decorations since I'm here for the food, but many have said she enjoy the ambiance. Food is where It's At, and Farley's delivers. read more

The burger had a great flavor, my friend ordered the green Chile and queso and it was delicious I liked it better than kine which was a daddy-o . I liked it but i wanted my burger in a bun and they put bread it was kind of weird it tasted good though. Not the way to treat a large party,98% from out of town. The food made up for it. The green Chile wontons were seriously the best thing! Not spicy at all! The fried pickles were awful though. Long slices make for difficult eating. The batter was greasy and all fell off before you could even get a bite. Skip those! The potato skins were really good! The jackrabbit droppings were def a hit! With the pandemic in the rear view window Farley's has reopened for lunch so I decided to pop in. Since I recently had lunch at Marci's The Game II, lets compare the two large Las Cruces sports bars. Upon entering I was immediately greeted by a friendly server at the Game. At Farley's I encountered a sign saying...seat yourself. Farley's is all on one floor and gives the impression of a being roomier. Farley's has many comfortable booths and the decor and ambiance are far, far nicer than the industrial, somewhat uncomfortable Game. The service I experienced at The Game was more professional, but the service at Farley's was pleasant and efficient enough. No complaints with either place regarding service. Food prep time at the Game seemed to be quicker. Farley's is known to have slow food prep times on busy evenings. In both restaurants I ordered a burger with green chile and cheese and french fries. The Mesilla Mex Burger at Farley's was gigantic....a half pound of beef and stacked with fixins. The Home Run Burger at The Game was somewhat smaller and could be eaten in the hands. The Farley's burger had to be consumed using a knife and fork. The Farley's burger was superior except for the special bacon on the Home Run Burger at The Game. Both burgers could have used more seasoning, but both were very good. The green chile on the Home Run was unnoticed. There was more green chile on the Mesilla Mex and the chile was fairly hot. In the final analysis I would rate the Farley's Mesilla Mex about a B+ and The Game II's Home Run a B to a B+. The fries at the Game were limp and greasy. The fries at Farley's were crispy and not greasy. Both places give you a ton of french fries. Rate the fries at The Game II a "D" and those at Farley's a "C+." The prices at Farley's seemed a bit better and they do give you a lot of food for the money. In sum: Farley's wins in ambiance and value for the buck. The Game II wins with a bit better service. Food wise Farley's may be a little better in quality and Farley's certainly has a better, more well rounded menu. If dining is your main objective you will probably prefer Farley's. If rowdy drinking is your thing you might want to try The Game II. Each to his own. Rate Farley's FOUR STAR...meaning a good all-around sports bar. The food won't be fabulous but it will generally be pretty good. read more
