So shocked with what a great experience we had, based on other reviews. We sat at the bar and Tori was wonderful! Attentive, helpful and so kind. I got the waffle fry appetizer that was smothered in beer cheese and crispy bacon. I could've eaten this as a meal alone it was filling and GOOD. Now, the reason we went - the OMCheese burger. YUM! The cheese was delicious and the honey mustard was the perfect addition. The onnnnnnnlllllyyy reason for 4 stars is that I saw the sanitation rating on the way out - 90.5. Had I seen that on the way in, we probably wouldn't have eaten there, but honestly I glad we did because the food was so good. read more

we went here on Sunday, March 5,2026 at 11:30. We were seated immediately. Sever was at our table very quickly. 3 of us ordered ribs. Two half racks and one full rack. Server came back and said the did not have a full rack, only half racks. Instead of giving us two half racks which would have made a whole rack, we were offered to either receive two riblets or to order something else. We ordered extra riblets. The food arrived and the ribs looked almost black. They were way over cooked to the point of being burned. We tried to eat them but they were way too dry. We tried several times to flag down someone to complain but to no avail. Finely the couple we were with paid the bill and we left. This is the second time in as many weeks we have had bad food here. I guess we won't be back. Money is too hard to come by to waste it on bad food. read more

Served out of fridge cold started with beer cheese was cold to touch then entree came out missing the bacon topping and the sauce. Asked for sauce kitchen sent out literally outnof fridge. When our meal finally came out, my quesedilla chicken salad came, it looked.like it was dropped on the floor and put back in the dish. The pretzel sticks were overdone as well. We decided on Applebee's for dinner since it was one of the restaurants closest to our hotel. Got there about 8:30pm and the service was HORRIBLE. One of our entrées never made it out. The food came out before the appetizer and overall quality of food was mediocre. We ordered the ribs and it was so charred, the knife barely cut into it. I like Applebee's. I really want to love it. They are pretty convenient in location...always seems to be one within a reasonable driving distance. Every time I eat at one, I can't help but think about how I could have made it myself. Let me be clear...I do not enjoy cooking. I think that the chain as a whole is just too reliant on the 'heat and serve' side of the business. Now, don't get me wrong, I am sure that most restaurants are this way, they just manage not to taste that way. We stopped at this restaurant on the way home from another event. We arrived pretty late in the evening for my crew (another adult and 2 kids), and were seated immediately by a friendly hostess. Our server came and immediately took our drink orders. It seemed to take a little while for her to get back, but she had a few tables. My friend ordered an appetizer as a meal and I added two appetizer to her tab. I am sure this confused the server because she brought everything out as a meal. I was starved! The spinach and artichoke dip didn't seem to be heated as much as I am used to, but it wasn't awful. I ordered my steak medium well....it ended up being well done but that isn't the end of the world, it just makes for a dry steak. I did find a lone broccoli stalk in the middle of my mashed potatoes but I won't hold that against them. The server did an ok job of keeping the drinks filled, but my friend would beg to differ. She didn't do a great job of checking up on us, even after her rush of tables left. The restrooms were clean, the parking was amble, the ambiance was casual. For me, the experience was just ok as was the food. It was nice to have a familiar restaurant to visit while traveling. read more

I usually never leave reviews because I give people the benefit of the doubt because of how short staffed people are but this was terrible. I haven't eaten here in a long time and it is a direct result of my experience as a DoorDash driver picking up orders from them. I have to wait sometimes 30 minutes or more to pick up an order that should be at least prepared by a few minutes after my arrival if not ready to go by the time i get there. It's a shame you have to give even one star to post on here. Yelp needs to add negative stars for ratings. That being said, the Applebee's in Lexington needs to be closed down. It is the absolute worst. Everything was simply bad. It tasted and looked like it was cooked 2 days ago. We got there at about 11:15 for lunch. My wife and I both got house salads. Both was just greens with maybe 4 or 5 little pieces of cheese. The cucumber and tomato, what there was, was diced so small you needed a magnifying glass to see them. My wife ordered a half rack of ribs with fries. The ribs were so dried out the meat was crunchy. They didn't fall off the bones, they snapped off. The fries were over cooked and so over seasoned they were inedible. I ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp. The shrimp was fine, the chicken was like eating jerky it was so dry. Even the garlic mashed potatoes tasted like they were old. Nothing tasted or seemed fresh. We're done with this place. Just look at the other reviews on here. read more

So I came here last night with my boyfriend. I ordered a raspberry lemonade. My drink came, everything was good. When I finished the drink our inattentive waitress took about 30 minutes to get me a refill. Please note that there were only 3 tables and she was talking to other workers instead of working. When she finally made the drink and brought it, I started to drink it. It wouldn't have really been a big deal until I realized that it was mango. Why is this an issue you ask? I'm allergic to mangoes. Like real bad. When she came back later with our orders(it took like 45 minutes for food) I asked if it was mango so I could see if I was just being paranoid. She took 10 minutes to tell me yes (she didn't even apologize or ask if I needed anything to help) So while I'm trying not to vomit all over the table while my throat closes, my boyfriend was trying to find someone to help (nobody did so he sat down and made sure I was as comfortable as possible). Eventually the waitress came back and asked if I was okay. I said no and asked if I could get water. She brings back the water and a check! Keep in mind we haven't eaten (Boyfriend was too concerned and I was too sick). The manager ended up comping our meal. She was the only one there who seemed like she cared. Oh! The food. I totally forgot about that. It can easily be summed up in one word: trash. On my burger, they gave me the bottom of the tomato. You know, the part you DON'T eat. Had to hunt the waitress down for our check. Food: Spin-dip was horrible, almost over cooked. Girlfriend's response after seeing it "eww, what's that"...and she loves spinach artichoke dip. Bourbon street chicken was fine, mushrooms were over cooked and too dry, same as the potatoes. Something did not agree with our stomachs. After eating here, the 4.5 hour drive back to Atlanta was pure torture. I had to stop at a gas station to pick up some peptobismol. Waited for over an hour for the waitress to bring unsweetened tea back to refill the half glass I originally received. She brought numerous glasses of sweet tea, I had to send my food back twice because they kept cooking the steak to death. I know, should know better than to try to get a steak at Applebee's but they shouldn't have it in the menu and ask how you want it cooked if they have no intention of honoring that. New waitress, absolutely no training, sat with four tables in a row. After an hour and a half we finally asked for a manager, to ask if I could just get my food to go, and again for the unsweetened tea and to suggest the waitress receive more training. Someone pleeease teach this Applesbee's some customer service and cooking skills. I don't come to Applebee's by choice, it's usually work related and every time I'm here it is a HUGE disappointment. The food is either cooked to a crisp or not cooked long enough. And the servers act like they've got a hundred tables at time one. We recently went for my managers bday lunch. There wasn't but a handful of tables in the building. We had a group of 15. Our coworkers were very polite and considerate that we only had one waitress. One of my coworkers asked for creamed potatoes instead of the whole ones that came with the meal and when the meal came out, you've guest it - they're was whole potatoes. She said, "I asked for cream potatoes." And the waitress rudely interrupted her and said, "it's not a big deal I can get your your cream potatoes." And walked away. Three of us didn't get our food until everyone else was finished eating. Then, of course we had a cake.. the waitress had already taken all of our plates and forks and didn't bother asking if we needed any new plates or forks with the cake. When someone asked for some she smiled and said sure, but as soon as she turned the corner she let out a big grunt like it was the hardest thing to do. The whole time she was away from our table she was standing at the bar with the bar tender loudly saying, "well look what I have to deal with today." So lady, if this is such a hard job.. I advise you go find you another job, because obviously waiting tables isn't the one for you. Don't recommend anyone eating at this Applebee's. Also, their alcoholic beverages all taste watered down. Well...I ordered carside-to-go through the app. Arrived 1 min before order was supposed to be ready. When app said order was completed, no one brought my food for 20 mins. I finally had to go in and get it myself and then still had to wait inside because no one seemed to know what was going on. When I got back to the hotel (less than a mile away), discovered the ice cream was soup. Talked to manager on duty...he was nice and tried to be as accommodating as possible. This time I ordered a gin and tonic, but the bartender used club soda instead of tonic. When I asked the girl if she had tonic water, she indicated the soda button on the universal spout. When I explained that soda water was in fact something different from tonic water, she and what appeared to be two "good ole boy" regulars argued that I was wrong. I cannot place the blame entirely on the girl behind the bar or the two cognoscenti regulars, however. I am not a fan of Applebee's but since I work in Lexington, there really aren't too many places to go afterwork for a quick drink. I enjoyed the drink specials that they have, but the food can be better. I only ordered salsa and chips, but they want to charge you extra for salsa and they give you this big platter of chips with a small cup of salsa. Our waitress started off great, but as the evening went on, she got caught up talking to some "regular customers" that comes in all the time and her co workers. read more
