. The onion/mushroom mixture is burnt. They were put on the bottom of the containers and the chicken was on top covering it up.

My family and I was trying to figure out what to eat and my sister suggested Apple Bees. This was my first time eating Apple Bees in a very long time and my sister said they have a new menu. We placed to-go orders a little after 9pm. We both ended up ordering the Louisiana chicken/shrimp and substituted our potatoes for broccoli; BIL ordered the queso burger. Now the pics on the website showed me something different than what we received. The food wasn't nasty but the presentation was awful. We called back to speak with management but they were so non-chalant and didn't offer an apology or anything. Guess they thought we would bring it back but it was late. I figured I needed to give them a visual.

If you want fine dining or an amazing steakhouse, this isn't it. What this is, is bar and grill quality food in a nicer than a typical bar and grill atmosphere. Food is fine, with a variety of menu options, and served nicely. Wine and other beverage options were good, too. The dining area is clean and well kept, and the staff is friendly and efficient. This Applebee's is everything we wanted for a relaxing, yet fairly quick stop during our trip through Ohio.

My family and I came to this Applebees about a month ago because we came to Lima to hear the Lima Symphony Orchestra. This was not our first choice for a place to eat nor our second. Originally we were going to eat at an Italian restaurant we wanted to try, but when we got there... 45 minute wait. So we went next to Texas Roadhouse... 1 hour and 15 min wait. We finally ended up at Applebees which had no wait time. We were quickly sat. The place... wasn't the cleanest. The waitress came and asked us our drink order... didn't have two of the drinks I asked her. When i finally asked for some apple cider and she said they didn't have that, i exclaimed... you don't even have Angry Orchard or something equivalent either? She responded oh Angry Orchard is a cider? Yes, we have that. I was tempted to face palm. We ordered our food and started with the spinach artichoke dip and some wonton tacos. Those were really good. Our chicken tender dinners after... not so much... rather bland. A bit of a disappointment but the rest of our night after made up for it.

However, you might be better served driving a little further. Biggie's dinning room is full of local, state, college, and professional memorabilia. This is very interesting! During our visit we were the only customers for the 1pm lunch. The waitresses were OK...not really friendly or helpful. They just got the job done. Several times we helped ourselves to refills because it took all them to make our meals at once. We ordered fried pickles and mushrooms. The mushrooms were small and in pieces...and not very tasty. The pickle spears were actually pretty good. I had the wings (one of their specialties). They were good sized but covered in an off-the-shelf BBQ sauce - nothing special. The side salad was large and not bad. The macaroni salad was not good! The Italian sub and waffle fries were described as being sub-par and not real tasty. The Biggie burger was said to be good. Apparently the chicken wrap was pretty good. Next time I'd go for one of their other specialties - pizza. The prices weren't bad. Another interesting note is Biggie is located next to the railroad track. A train did come through and rattle the restaurant. Not too loud though.

Follow the BaldGuyReviews at: https://www.facebook.com/BaldWhiteGuyReviews…read more So, we packed up the GMC and headed north to move the youngest into the Oppenheimer Dorm at BGSU. Okay, fine, it's Offenhauer, but my wallet definitely feels like a nuclear bomb went off. After a chaotic day of hauling boxes, avoiding the massive herds of people, and casually checking out the dead people buried literally right in the middle of campus (seriously, what a vibe ), we worked up a serious appetite. Decided to hit up a locally owned joint: Beckett's Burger Bar downtown on Main Street. Right off the bat, I noticed something shocking. The windows were actually clean. Now, I know this is minor, but a bar with clean windows is like a politician keeping a promise--extremely rare, but you gotta respect it when you see it. Because it was move-in day, the place was packed. We gave them our number and parked it on a bench out on Main Street for some elite people-watching. #Score Honestly, observing college kids with their #LowKey main character energy is top-tier entertainment. The conservative in me wanted to yell at them to get off my lawn and get a job, but my liberal vein was like, "Wow, look at all this diverse self-expression, let them live their truth." Either way, it was a solid wait. Finally got a seat. The place was happening. And by happening, I mean the music was blasting, everyone was trying to scream over it, and the liquor was flowing--making the screaming even louder. Look, I'll own it: I am just old and white. #Guilty. The menu is legit. Tons of choices. They even had a deviled egg appetizer! I was totally down to try it, but my family overruled me for cheese sticks. We all know who makes the rules here! Seriously? Cheese sticks? #Boring My family is basic, no cap, but in the good way Most of the crew got standard hamburgers, but as the minority here, I had to venture out. I ordered the MAC & CHUNKS. (A bed of house-made mac & cheese, topped with fried jalapeños, bacon & white queso cheese, plus chicken chunks dipped in BBQ. 1/2 lb for $14.49.) Listen to me. The mac was cooked perfectly (al dente, for you fancy folks). The fried jalapeños brought the heat, the queso brought the creamy, and that BBQ tang tied it all together. This dish slapped. Seriously, it was so good it almost made me want to support a wealth tax. #Not Almost. It was ridiculously filling and absolutely bussin. #ISeeYou Highly recommend! ‍‍‍‍ 4 out of 5 BaldHeads!
