This was our second time here. We met clients for dinner while we were in town. We started off with drinks and appetizers. They have a great selection of beer, wine and spirits. I have been wanting to try Speakeasy Steak & Ale House for a long time and thankfully I was finally able to go at the very end of May. My family went and we enjoyed every moment of our time here. The place has this old meets modern flair with an eclectic twist in its decor. Check out the pictures it feels artsy with a mix of old and new. I really digged the vibes. The service is excellent. Our waiter was affable. We had as our starter some wings with boom boom sauce, it was a nice twist to the old tried and true appetizer. My mother got some chicken breasts with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. She loved every bite! My brother was impressed by the Ghost of Jack Dempsey burger... he said the flavor and the heat was incredible! I loved the tomahawk ribeye! Almost overwhelmed by the depth of flavor... My brother and I just did not have room for dessert, my mom did. She went for the bread pudding... she said she wished she had room for a second of that... This place is gold! First when you walk in it's the cutest little place. Super clean, playing music from the 20s, very intimate. The staff were so sweet and super nice! I had the Mary Pickford cocktail and it was great. My husband orders a bone in ribeye, asparagus, and a salad. I ordered the 8 oz sirloin, sweet potato, salad, and a lobster roll. The presentation was phenomenal. Food was wonderful. The seasoning on the steaks are to die for! We also got the button appetizer too, it was yummy! This place is just fabulous! Our son lives in town going to school for last couple years and I am saddened I haven't been here before! We had an excellent server Chase that took care of us. Loved everything besides the fries. They may be good to some but they just weren't our style. My husband ordered the Chase's York Burger & said it may have been the best burger he's ever had. Ambience is really interesting, in a good way! The server was fantastic. Dined on a Sunday evening and they were out of way too many items for a restaurant. Wife ordered a filet, medium rare, came out well done. I had the bison burger, great flavor, but was also overdone, making it sort of dry. They remade the filet, and it was perfect the second time. Overall, it was just sort of a "meh" experience. But like any other place, sometimes you're just "off". We will give them another try in the future, and hopefully they will be on point. read more

Food is good. Service is solid. Serving sizes are fantastic. It's not a huge place, but it's a nice one. Absolutely amazing atmosphere. The waiters are in period clothes. I was surprised by the music because it's some of the rock songs that I grew up converted to 1920s music. I don't know how they did it, or where they found it but whoever did it did a decent job there. It adds an interesting flavor to the ambience. When I saw the name I initially thought it was related to speakeasy ramen in Springfield (also fantastic), however it seems to be unrelated. The butter for the bread is soft. It's not frozen, or cheap. It's like they thought about what would make a good experience, and they did it. My daughter says she really enjoyed her steak kebab. This bread, she says, she cannot taste the bag on it, and she thinks it is made here. My daughter can taste the plastic that many things are wrapped in so not having that taste is a good thing. If I lived in this area then I would consider taking my sweetie here for a fun lunch or dinner date. It's a nice little spot. read more

This is a fine eating steak house in Mercer County. I am from Celina but currently live in Doylestown, PA. I travel for work and eat at many steak houses while traveling. As many of you know I am on a low carb diet so I like to eat at steak houses. Today, I ordered a 12 oz. NY strip rare. The steak was cooked perfectly and tasted exactly like I liked it. There really is not too much to say beyond that. It was brown and hot on the outside and red on the inside. It had a very good sear. The wine list was a little limited but you would expect that in Mercer County. However the wine that was available was reasonably priced and the bottle that we drank (a California blend) was very good. The staff was friendly, and we talked to them about the local restaurant scene. It was a little icy outside which made it so we had the place to ourself. The decor was very reminiscent of the former coffee shop. That being said it was quiet and the music was conducive for good conversation. The bottom line is this is a high end steak house in Mercer County. This one gets 4 Siberian Husky paws up!! Highly recommended if you are in Celina. read more

Once again a wonderful meal at Speak Easy. Blackened salmon was delicious, better than another restaurant in a neighboring town we frequent. The jalapeño coleslaw is minus the mayo (thankfully) with a mild vinaigrette. The bartender, David, made me a martini from a cucumber-mint vodka, and it was beyond delicious. It's my new favorite drink. Last time I had a Mango martini made from mango-flavored vodka. David's the best! The ambiance here is beyond reproach. We love it here. read more

We had wings, shrimp tacos, t-bone steak, and Tyme Rosemary chicken.
