Usually when I come here the experience is great! I don't know what happened but this time the service was horrible, the food was mediocre and the drinks was watered down. It started when I walked in, there was no one @ the door when we arrived. I walked pass the employee as I was going to the restroom. I asked her to seat my kids. When I returned my kids was sitting by the door still waiting to be seated and we waited for another 2-4 minutes before someone approached me. There was another family after me that was a seated as soon as they walked in the door. My waiter was trying. When he returned with the drinks, our drinks was watered down. I ordered a Mangoberry Swirlarita (it's suppose to be frozen btw), mines was watered down as if it was sitting. My daughter ordered lemonade quencher strawberry and that was watered down. The water had a funny taste. My food was lukewarm but the plate was hot. My daughters meal was completely wrong. She ordered a 4 Cheese Mac and receive 3 cheese chicken penne. As I looked on the device on the table to pay for my bill, I noticed it was the family in front of us bill. I've informed my waiter of the error in the meals. He's reply, "I'm sorry. My nephew chose to come here for his birthday dinner. They had burger specials on Monday nights so everybody ordered one. I had the burger with the egg on top & it was quite delicious. Let's start off with walking in. We came in and there was no one to greet us despite the restaurant being practically empty, so when someone ne did finally come i asked to be seated close for the door since i was with my grandmother who was elderly. Apparently it seemed as this was a problem because after asking she rudely sat us with a look of disdain on her face. Moving onto ordering food. i ordered a simple cheeseburger, when i finally get it there was no cheese on it and i informed the waitress, she said okay i'll go get you some and leaves and then comes back and just takes my plate up literally while i'm in the middle of eating my fries and proceeded to ask "you said you wanted cheese right?" . okay moving along she brings back the same plate with two slices of unmelted cheeses but the cheese has hair in it. So i then inform her of this and she ask me if i want it remade and i tell her that i do so when i get the new order back she places it down with an attitude, which was from start to finish that attitude. So basically from the moment i walked in to the moment i sat down and everywhere in between i was doomed to terrible customer service, so no i will not be back and if you don't want to be at work then don't come. WOW, the menu looked so good, but I wanted a steak and I knew it. Ordered a medium sirloin with a portobello mushroom and red potatoes. First off, my potatoes were not red, they were regular ol' potatoes. Secondly, the WHOLE plate looked about half the size of what was pictured. literally, my "stuffed portobello" was a PIECE of a portobello, not a whole one. My steak was bouncy chewy, as if it had been microwaved, in addition, the potato felt microwaved as well. In addition to all this, the manager proceeded to tell me that "sirloins are the worst cut of steak, but sorry that's what applebees sells here." UM NO. I can make a MEAN sirloin on my own grill!!!! I am the griller of the house for a family of 5, and a sirloin is a decent cut; not the best, not the worst; but if done right, fits the BILL! The manager. (outside of making excuses for the poor food I was served,) was at least kind and understanding and handed me a $5 coupon (which I won't be using...) and took the meal off the ticket. I was disappointed to read the last review that said this restaurant had a low health score. I didn't notice this when we were there, and the restaurant appeared clean and freshly remodeled. The food was delicious and service was fast. Their new menu is great, and our server, Lexie, was exceptional. I recommend the turkey avocado sandwich on soft cibatta bread, as well as the new honey pepper shrimp and chicken. Nice size entrees that were cooked and prepared perfectly. One of the worst dining experiences ever! 2 hours to get our food, salad was missing bacon (brought it but we were done), husband's food was cold, steak was half fat, broccoli was raw, the light burned out during our visit, the 2nd bud light was jacked up yet they never took it off the bill. We really should have checked the reviews before we ate here. I have been coming to this Applebees for several years. It wasn't very busy as I got there after the lunch rush. It took 10 minutes for anyone to come take my offer. The few staff that were working were cleaning tables and chairs, which is great, considering the COVID 19 pandemic. However, there is a glaring issue that needs some cleaning attention quickly. The wooden blinds are filthy, as are the windows inside and out. Looks like there is a fungus growing on at least 1 window, probably due to the dampness from condensation/weather. I took my family here for dinner one evening and stood in the lobby for at least a half hour and still didn't get my name on the wait list.A nice elderly couple was standing next to me and appeared upset. I overheard the lady ask the host what was taking so long. His reply to her was "umm a train wreck" ? The poor woman didn't understand his reply which I found to be highly unprofessional ! I then told my boys that we were leaving. Needless to say the elderly couple followed us out the front door disgusted. I felt the need to contact corporate and voice my opinions of disgust about how the elderly couple was treated. I contacted corporate and heard nothing back so I contacted them a second time after a month.I then spoke with a corporate representative who stated he had tried to contact me via phone but I did not answer. "Evidently I am supposed to wait for Applebee's phone call for their disgusting practices". To date I have not heard anything back from Applebee's Corporate. My family has decided numerous times against dining at an Applebee's for the lack of professionalism. We also refuse to dine at their partnership establishment "IHOPS". I worked for Applebee's as a kid and I am disgusted to have been associated with this franchise. I always had decent dining experiences with this company until I stumbled into this particular location. It's been since March and I told corporate to "kick rocks" over my experience here.
