I was very skeptical to go here with the wife after seeing reviews and hearing bad things. But I saw a couple items I thought would be interesting to try. And figured why not give them a shot. And I am glad we did. The service was great , food was very delicious and cooked properly. The drinks were awesome from behind the bar that we tried. The atmosphere and all was welcoming. We could not have asked for a better experience. All the way around it was great. The only complaint I have is at myself for not giving them a shot sooner. Ordered ribeye steak broccoli and potato ordered chicken and pasta and we ordered two blondes with ice cream and tea. We had a call it in twice while my wife was sitting out in the parking lot. Finally got the meals. We only live 11 miles away by the time she got here, of course the food was all cold. Had to reheat it. I can't say anything good about this whole meal. My steak was burnt. The broccoli was edible. The potatoes were not bad. The pasta and chicken was cold. The dessert was awful. We've had better meals than this from Applebee's when you have to spend $90 to bring home a nice meal and you get this it really pisses you off to the point where we will not spend our money here I believe they owe us a meal. We'll see what happens. The waitress that brought the food out didn't have a clue on what took so long. Except that the lasagna was laying almost upside down in the bag when they put everything in there they should realize that not everything goes upside down. This issue occurred on 15 AUG 2025 at 6:37pm. I ordered two meals online for pick up at this location, the two meals were the four cheese and honey chicken tenders. The online instructions said it would track your location so they know when you arrive so they can bring your food out, but this never happens. Arrived at 6:37 Pm and parked in the to go pick up parking space, waited 20 minutes, called the restaurant and received no answer, so I went inside and spoke with the bartender about my pick up order, to which she replied " They are making it right now". I continued to wait at the bar until my food was brought out to me at 7:28pm. Some details I realized while I was sitting at the bar Was I was not alone in my experience this night as the to go pick up spots were all filled and customers were starting to follow suit and enter the restaurant to inquire about their meals. I also noticed that the reason I could not get through to anyone was because the employees had taken the phone off of the hook to which I took a picture. When I returned home and sat down to eat the food, I noticed upon opening the container that the meal appeared to be just noodles and the honey chicken tenders no four cheese whatsoever and this took from 6:20 pm when I ordered online to 7:28 PM when I finally received the meal. I've given this location multiple chances, as this was not the first time I've ordered online and no one came out with food, leaving me no option, but to go in and inquire about my meal. This was the last chance. This location has permanently lost a customer. I will not be returning. read more

We were the first customers of the day on a Saturday at 11:45am. Literally no one was there to eat . No hostess was around when we walked in, no one to be seen. Finally after five minutes a waitress walked out and We were seated, drinks ordered. Waitress came back and took our order. Two more couples came in about ten minutes after us. At 12:30 the waitress comes and apologizes that our food is not ready and they only have one cook. Meanwhile she is holding the plates for the couple that came in ten minutes after us. A few minutes later she brings the other couple their food. Then she brings my steak and my husband's salad but not my salad and not his entree. So we wait some more. My food is getting cold. Finally they bring his food. In the meantime I literally start smelling poop. We are seated by the bathrooms and the smell is so strong it makes me gag a little. I cut into the steak and it was not medium well. It was medium rare. I sent it back for more cooking and again I smelled the poop but the bathroom door hadn't opened. Mind you I have hearing loss so my sense of smell is pretty strong. My husband could slightly smell it but not like me. No clue where it was coming from but it almost ruined my appetite. The food came back, the potatoes were delicious. Broccoli just right. Salad was okay. Steak was horrible. Rubbery, tough, fatty and no flavor. This was supposed to be a 2 for 25 but they charged us 32 because I got a steak. Never again. We'll never go here again. The waitress was nice but I really didn't appreciate 4 people coming in after us, getting their food before us, eating, paying and leaving while we still waited and waited. And we were super nice about it. We were on a road trip and this meal delayed us for more than an hour to our destination. I didn't get a picture of my husbands chicken but he said it was just okay. If I could, I'd give this place a half star!! Far different from my last visit to this Applebee's in Moncks Corner SC during the summer, I'd bring my 6 grandkids here for a nice after church lunch and the service was nice. BUT YESTERDAY, SUN 1/26/2026 WAS HORRIBLE! I'm getting up to write this before I forget. First off, the server never introduced herself, never gave her name and very nonchalantly took our order. There were 2 adults and 5 children at our table. As we settled, took off our coats, we noticed that other workers, the bar attendant etc were working with their coats on. The kids were cold and put their coats back on. When our food arrived and shared out, we alerted her that she bought an extra kids meal. She realized she made an error and stated that if we kept it, we would be charged. I'm fine with that however, it was her error. The food will be tossed out anyway right? Once it leaves the kitchen, it's not supposed to be received back. It's been my experience that good customer service would admit the error and leave the pizza & fries. Instead she said it would be thrown away and took it back! There goes a substantial "tip" for her. We were still eating with coats on, and the kiddies had to use the restroom. BOTH MALE AND FEMALE BATHROOMS STUNK VERY BAD!!!!!!!!! I myself asked a lady who claimed to be the manager what in the world is that smell. She stated very unconcerned that it's COMING FROM THE SEWER. THAT'S WHAT IT SMELLS LIKE. RAW SEWERAGE! IT WAS TOO LATE, WE HAD ALREADY FINISHED THE MEAL, OR WE NEVER WOULD HAVE EATEN HERE. Bartender was sitting at the bar when we arrived with her headphones in on her phone with about 8 tables sat.. not busy but definitely not professional. "Guess I have to work now" she said when she saw us. Then went and sat in the back corner with her coworker on their phones ignoring her coworkers drink orders and ours. She continued to not speak to us while serving us because she was too busy holding a conversation on the phone with her headphones in. The waitress was great and I understand the lack of proper staffing and I always try to be patient.but the staff needs to let you know there is only one cook on duty before you order your food. Needles to say this didn't happen and it took much longer than expected. That can cause you to be late for other appointments. The food itself was not great either. This is my first time coming here in a very long time, years. It was more people than I expected! Came here with my bestie for some good food and drinks. They delivered both with speedy delivery. Our waitress Keke was awesome. She was friendly and helpful in our drink selections! I'm a light weight so after about 2 drinks I was feeling good. I had never had a hamburger quesadilla before but after this, it's definitely my go to meal! The service was amazing and the ambiance was so nice too! My wife and I went here for dinner the other night. The staff was friendly and polite. Upon entering I noticed that it was clean. The service was a little slow. While looking at the menu, I noticed that they had bought some of their older pasta meals that had not been on the menu for a few years. My wife and I both had chicken alfredo (mine without the broccoli). The food was good and hit the spot. We will definitely eat here again. Should have turned around and walk out the moment I walked in. The hostess seemed to have an attitude. When she took us to the table the seats were dirty. The bathroom was nasty. Took a while to get our food. When I finally got my food it was obvious cooked in old grease and couldn't eat it. The guy waiting on us was kind and probably new as he had to ask for help. Last evening, we went here to celebrate a birthday. Sitting was quick but then it took 10 minutes for a "waitress" to even come to our table AND with an obvious attitude. Im not sure why the service was delayed as there was barely anyone there and 4 (including the manager) just standing at the bar chatting away. They no longer have menus and force you to either use the code reader on your phone or go to their website online on your phone. We went with an older couple and they said had they been alone they would have left. When we asked to speak to the manager about this, we were told "you are more then welcome to go to another resteraunt with a menu" BY THE MANAGER and he was "only an employee". I then told the manager, it was obvious why there was barley anyone there now. There was another table that shared our "waitress" and they too called for the manager. She just stood there and looked at them too just shaking her head and when she went to walk away, she whipped her head around then her body. Their food was remade and comped. One of our guest vegeatbles were not cooked well and requested to reheat them and, again, attitude like she was taking this all personally. The ONLY time she smiled was when she brought the check and I'm sure thinking we would forget the way she treated and ignored us for tipping. We did not. The ONLY reason we stayed was because the person celebrating his birthday was a diabled vet who wanted to go there and we wanted to make it as good as we could for him. Applebees is NOT what it used to be and appreantly employees must feel the same because it you go back even 3 months later, there is a COMPLETEY new staff and manager. Wonder why? read more

The male manager was very rude and short with us as well they didn't let us modify our order we told them we would pay the difference but he said no. No host at the front and 2 groups waiting. 5 minutes later the host shows up and seats one of the groups, completely ignoring the rest of us there. I put in an order for curbside pickup, and I live about 15 minutes from the Applebees; I ordered the shrimp parmesan with steak. I get home, and there was no shrimp, and the sides were cold. When I called them about the mess up, they said sorry; instead of offering to refund the meal, they said I could come back to the store and get the shrimp, or they can send me a 10 dollar gift card. My trusty sidekick and I were looking for a simple and convenient sit down dinner, whichbfor me will always include a side of mashed and gravy, so while Brecks might have better food, we were already near Applebees because of a hardware run to Marvins. We navigated the strange entrance and parking lot and walked in, nobody waiting. Great? We stood there. We looked around. We perused the menu. We watched the bartender and servers go about tgeir tasks. After what was probably over two or three minutes, and after making eye contact with two or three staff, I started a one minute countdown in my head, and when it got to zero without Applebees interrupting me with any communication, we left. I used to be a huge fan of Apple Bee's. When I moved from California to South Carolina after college in 2014 I drove and when I stopped for dinner my friend and I ate each night at an Apple Bee's. Since then the restaurant over all has gone down in value. My family owns a lake house in Overton and my mom insisted in eating at this restaurant. The food was OK and the staff OK, but to get more than 3 stars you got to be more than OK. It's not a bad restaurant if Apple Bee's is your thing, but it has room for improvement. Ever since the Franchise sold these Apple Bee's they haven't been the same. I was even going to be a manger at the one that closed down in Summerville, before I received a better job offer from California. I hope it starts heading in the right direction and goes back to being a good 4 star restaurant. read more
