Wow, for my first time coming to South Carolina, I wanted to experience the full 12am-3am waffle house experience. However, when we arrived they could only take take-out orders! Not to mention, but they already add in a 20% convenience fee after you pay so I had already tipped 20% prior not knowing this! The sticker stating about this 20% convenience fee was a tiny sticker in the corner of the window, which was not helpful. So now, with learning my lesson I think I'll just stick away from this place. But the food was pretty okay, can't expect much from this place. My food was still steaming when I got home to eat it at least. The only thing I was weirded out with was the fact that the potatoes in the hash browns were almost cylindrical, instead of the shredded look. And for the other review talking about Marsha, she was my server but all she did was take my order. We came in when we lost power at our house. We were a bit skeptical as we have never had a good experience at a Waffle House. This location completely changed our mind. We were immediately greeted by Tiffany. She gave us time to decide what we wanted and we were never without. She was attentive, kind and a very hard worker. They were busy and she never stopped, but none of the staff did either. Communication was flowing and food was coming out quick and hot! We enjoyed it so much we are currently here again the next day. The staff is again all awesome. I ordered the breakfast with 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns and a waffle. One with bacon, eggs scrambled with cheese, wheat toast, and grits with cheese. I received HAM and grits with no cheese. My other order was an all star special with bacon, eggs scrambled with cheese, wheat toast, and hash browns smothered in onions. Instead I received SAUSAGE, no cheese in the eggs, and hash browns with onions, cheese, and ham. When we brought it to their attention, the lady got an attitude. They gave us 3 pieces of gray bacon. It's Waffle House! Where you can get a quick, cheap meal! We hadn't eaten at one of these in years - but I had a craving for that blueberry waffle and I wasn't disappointed! We get the best service and food quality from this waffle house. Mary is our favorite server. Not over the top friendly but just nice. Our orders are always right on and the food is just simply good. No issues. No complications. We get what we asked for and what you expect at a diner style restaurant. We love the peanut butter and chocolate waffles. Texas sausage egg sandwich add cheese. Hash browns diced (onions) and tomato (forgot what that one is). Coffee is eh... but sweet tea is sweeeeet! Waffle House use to be a great Place to eat back in the day it never seems to surprise me how more and more waffle houses are going down the tube as far as quality and service. I ate breakfast there today and while I was eating my waffle something caught my eye, as I looked down at my fork I see a hair sticking out of my waffle after a few minutes of trying to get the attention of the waitress I informed her of what I found. She apologized and brought me another I figured after this incident that they might discount the meal all together but I was wrong they took of the waffle. I was a lil surprised I would have thought they would have tried a lot harder to keep a customer but no effort was really exerted. Doesn't surprise me though this is just the way most waffle houses operate low standards poor management.
