My kid & I went here on a whim one Sunday afternoon. It wasn't crowded which was great. If it was busier, it could be challenging to find a parking space since quite a bit of businesses are around. Been wanting to try this place for a while now and while in the area I did. My order was immediately taken upon entry by the cashier who gave me plenty of time to order. Food took about 10 minutes to cook. Looking at everyone else receiving food and everything looked outstanding ! My burger was smashed to perfection and super juicy! Great service orginally gave us the wrong meal but quickly turned it around and fixed it and the food was FANTASTIC!

We live in North Charleston. There is a similarly named smashed burger place a half mile from us, called Smashly's. We ordered online to Smash Burger, which is a 30 minute drive, and immediately realized our mistake and phoned the Smash Burger and told them to cancel that order as it was in error. The girl said they can cancel the order on their end, but they cannot refund our money! "We'd have to do that online." We immediately went online to their website, as she instructed and there is NO WAY to get a refund for a mistaken, canceled order. Sorry - it's canceled, but you still have to pay for it! After literally less than ONE MINUTE. This is ridiculous. Obviously, we will never patron this restaurant, even if it were across the street from us. Who treats people like that? read more

I rounded up because I couldn't give them 1 1/2 starts. And the only reason this was given was due to the very nice lady behind the counter and that they offer a military discount. My wife wanted Sweet Potato fries and since she didn't know about Fat Daddy's sweet potato fries, she made me come here. We ordered the avocado smash burger which was supposed to come with avocado but since my wife had a single and I had a double, we both were unable to tell if that avocado was on the sandwich. In the photo you can see the small amount of avocado on the burger and you can see how overcooked the meat was as well. It was not juicy just loaded with sauce that made it look moist. I have often tried to make the best out of burger joints but each time I come here I alway leave underwhelmed with the food quality and service. We ordered the food at the same time and my burger came about 3 minutes later, without the tots, and then my tots came a few minutes later then my burger. Parking: It shares parking with other stores such as Newk, but I was able to get a spot at the front. Service: The service was a bit under average. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't so busy which is a good thing. No words were said during my order other than if I wanted bacon for my smash burger and whipped cream for my milkshake. I ordered a classic Smash single, rosemary fries, and a strawberry milkshake. Food: The food was good, but honestly based on the service I didn't have much of an appetite. The member who gave me the milkshake was more talkative than the one behind the register. The one that gave me my burger was the same way and said to have a good day while the other didn't. Ambiance: The ambiance was fine honestly, except for the feeling that you're being stared at. Opportunities: Better customer service for the team member who placed my order. The display that displayed the chicken was intermittent and was glitching every couple of seconds. I was impressed. I was blown away. I was very satisfied. These are just a few things that described my experience at Smashburger. The staff was beyond friendly and very helpful. The restaurant itself was very clean and our food came out quickly. Now about the burger.... THIS WAS THE BEST BURGER I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. Everything about my burger was PERFECT. The bun was toasted to perfection, it was soft, warm and still somehow wasn't mushed down by the burger juices. The patty was juicy but not greasy, the toppings were fresh and placed on the burger so neatly and everything was very well proportioned. They truly have the science of making the perfect burger down pact. If smash burger were a religion, I'd be a devoted member of the church, head of the PTA, star athlete on the team... you get the picture lol. My first time ever visiting a Smashburger Restaurant. We were shopping so we stopped by the Summerville location. I was impressed. The food smelled delicious, the restaurant was clean and the prices were a reasonable. We were seated and in about 10 minutes or less our food arrived. I ordered the Grilled Chicken with Swiss Cheese Sandwich with Plain French Fries ( I had no idea there were other delicious options) and a Sweet tea. My Grandson had the chicken nuggets kids meal with a milk shake and my daughter had a Bacon Avocado Club burger with Rosemary, Garlic and olive oil fries, and a sweet tea. The restaurant was huge inside, neat,clean and has an outdoor dining option as well but it was in the high 90's us chubby people get hot fast, no way I was eating outside. My sandwich is juicy, well seasoned, well cooked and garnished with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions. Thank God my fries were hot and crispy. The sweet tea was delicious. I can't tell you how my daughter's sandwich was other than she inhaled it (she claims it's the pregnancy, I say she's greedy). She did allow me to taste her french fries and they were DELICIOUS and DELIGHTFUL to my palate. . I've never tried rosemary, garlic, olive oil fries but I will make sure I return just for them. I wasn't fully impressed with my experience. The young man working the cash register was nice but he seemed very unsure of the menu and the items we ordered and how we ordered. They got my burger order wrong two times. The first time it had their special sauce on the burger when I asked for it in the side. Which I ended up not liking. I took my order back up and showed the receipt. They lady was apologetic and got the kitchen to fix it. Then they brought it back out but this time I didn't have my order of fries. So she then had to correct it one more time. Overall though I thought the burger was okay but the fries.... Those are awesome. This is a good and inexpensive burger joint for Summerville. The big bleu burger is my favorite with smash fries. Let me tell you about those smash fries-delicious! They are cut fresh from potatoes and rolled with rosemary and garlic oil. That's the best side item there, I always gotta get some. And they don't skimp on the quantity or quality of food. The burgers are priced at 7.69 for a big smash and 4.69 for classic smash. There's an abundance of free and priced toppings and sauces for each burger, chicken and now Turkey burgers. Plus, they have about 7 types of cheeses to choose from I love cheese! The dining area is comfortable with plenty of indoor and covered outdoor seating. And it hasn't gotten too loud every time I've been so far. The only downside is parking, traffic and you're gonna wait a bit, especially during peak lunch 11-1 And dinner 5-7.
