Went here for my Veterans Day free entrée. I got the bacon cheeseburger with fries and my wife got the grilled chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes. They were great. Nati is The Best and I would love to personally reeducate anyone who says otherwise. Applebee's is consistently reliable - it's affordable drinks and classic American fare at reasonable prices. The ambiance is average for a franchised bar and grill. But this Applebee's is unironically one of the best bars in Pottstown. My boyfriend and I have been coming to this bar and sitting with Nati (and Jackie) for years. We fell in love at this bar. We're always happy with the food, service and drinks. The Ribs.. god knows where the meat was? and or, how many hours, they sat in grease in a hot box to create a shoe leather crusty dry coating of meat. We were greeted almost immediately. The restaurant was clean and a great temperature. Kenzie, our server, was quick to take our drink orders. When we ordered our meals, she offered us alternatives to our side dishes. The food came out in a reasonable time. It was delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly. No need to be afraid to order the fish and chips here, or a steak. Both were amazing. My only disappointment was the price of the appetizers and removal of some of the best ones. Addison was our server. He was great! Very friendly and doing the best he could. He was busy! We overheard him telling the table behind us that his manager was giving him grief. She should have been out on the floor, helping him i.e. getting drinks ,running food, bussing tables, taking care of checks, etc. I was in the restaurant business for over 30 years. I bartended, was a server, and I was in management. If I was the manager on duty tonight, I would have been helping my servers, not giving them grief. All in all, Addison was a very good server. Service was horrible. The food was good, however our waitress Nati was not. i ordered one plate of boneless bbq wings and a water like I always do after 9:00 for half apps. We had a group of 10 and Nati didn't organize correctly and gave me a check for all you can eat buffalo wings and a Dr Pepper for $20.65. my bill is always $7.67 and it was obviously wrong. so I waited for Nati to come back and I told her that I only got one plate of bbq wings and a water. she said ok and took off the dr pepper but left the all you can eat wings on the receip. so I was still being overcharge. I gave her 14 dollars as a nice courtesy for all the trouble. she cane back and said I didnt give her enough to cover the bill and I kindly explained that I only ordered one plate and not the all you can eat. she walked away and came back and told me that I asked for all you can eat and that I still owe her two dollars to cover the bill. Horrible service, Nati should be fired for the way she talked to me and the way she treats customer. She made me over pay by $8.39 which is ridiculous. She was rude and very unapologetic to our situation in which we didn't receive the correct food for our order. I literally lI've less than 2 miles from them and tonight was the last really bad service and mediocre food for me. How hard is it to put an order in for appetizers? Then we get our meal and I said did you forget the appetizers? She said oh yeah and brought us out COLD mozzarella sticks. This is the 2nd time in the last month we got bad service and not great food. So a $65 tab and we threw half of our food away. There are way better places out there so Applebee's you just lost a loyal customer! read more

I go here every Saturday after work for half price apps. The workers never complain I am there an hour before close and happily seat me and serve me fresh and amazing food Everytime. My friends and I were sat next to the back door and it was 20 degrees outside, so the drafts were a little annoying. Our waitress was nice, and our food came at a normal speed. The chips with the spinach dip were mostly stale and my friends fries were hard. I found it very strange that the busboy and waitress never once touched our empty plates! They say in the middle of our table all through dessert and as we left. A table nearby was entirely covered in the previous diners dishes/napkins, and it wasn't cleared the entire time we were there. Just ordered food to go. I ordered a Caesar side salad which is literally just lettuce, croutons and Caesar dressing. I also ordered the Margarita Chicken and was there as soon as it was done. I took a bite in the car and it was ice cold. It was not warm, it was not hot, it wasn't cool, it was actually ice cold. I don't know if it was sitting in a cold area and probably susceptible to anything from being out or if it was just in the fridge. I just know that I was starving and grateful that there was a microwave at home. This covid 19 makes things a little bit more difficult but serving ice cold food is kinda pushing it. read more

Just went with a friend around 230. It was nice. The staff was polite I forget our servers name but he started helping us immediately we didn't have to wait which was nice. We both got the quesadilla burger I've never seen a burger with out the bun have so many calories but it was very good. We didn't have to wait long for our food and he refilled our drinks with out us having to ask honestly the air was a bit to high and I was cold and there was like a puddle of water on the bathroom floor but other than that I had a great time and definitely recommend going there read more

I ordered through delivery service and was appalled by the food that was cooked! The amount they send for delivery is always less than what's served at the table for this location. Also the food was tasteless, the broccoli wasn't cooked and was flavorless. The pasta Alfredo sauce tasted bland like they added too much milk and no cheese. The worse part is the Caesar salad, it smelled unwashed and expired. It was brown in places and had little if any cheese. The croutons were sweet and no other flavor, no cheese. I've been to other locations and always get the worse cooking at this one, the cook does not know how to cook and the restaurant does not care how they send out food! read more

I'm an ex employee who work as a line cook there. WHEN I TELL YOU IT IS ABOLUTE HURRY THERE, I'm ashamed they have not fired the manager brain and Christian there for the way they treat and make fun off staff. I have literally witnessed them picking up food that fell on the floor (where raw food, nuts, etc have touch the same floor) and place it back on customers plates, I have witnessed Christian flirting with co workers, and many inappropriate jokes and so much more, the dishes they don't even wash properly they just pray them off and put then in to rinse, they then on the week of inspection deep clean everything make everyone follow inception rules and tell the dish washers to nit wash any dishes when they come in because they aren't properly trained how to do it, and then the day after inspection they go pack non health code sanders it is absolutely rancid, they also serve expired food, again I'm an ex employee read more

Ordered through GrubHub tonight. Got the order and asked for no onion on the well-done burger. There were tons of onion straws and raw onion on a burger that was medium on a burnt roll, with burnt bacon. Also asked for no pickles, guess what, there were pickles on the burger. I ordered and paid for sour cream and extra dressing, which did not arrive. Got pretzels with cheese and the container was 1/4 full. Just an all around poor experience. Okay. It's Applebee's. It is what it is, and I'm not about to change it. But when my parents stop by with me in tow, it would be delightful to have an option besides hot tea. Just one dish not smothered in meat and cheese - is that so much to ask? A veggie burger topped with guac, a simple pasta dish, or a vegetable stirfry would delight me endlessly. Me and my friends went here (we are all servers) and it was about 13 of us. The girl came to the table flustered, and she only had one other 2 top. She was in a rush when it came time to put our food in, and told us she had to go say hi to her other table and walked away (rude) when she got back we requested a new server, because she clearly couldn't handle a party our size. So then we got Billy. And he was great! This time we went and the whole party wasn't there. The server (ali) says to the table "is the rest of your party coming soon, because we close at 12" as a server we NEVER mention the time of closing with the greet because right away it makes us feel rushed. The entrees came out right on top of the appetizers, we didn't get silent refills on our drinks. So we were looking for a place to grab a quick bite on a late nite (after 9pm). Applebee's opens til 12 so great right? NOT. Wife ordered some shrimp skewers, I had the chicken fingers platter. I was thinking surely you can not messup something like that. Wrong. Chicken fingers were totally dry, wife returned the shrimp as it was nasty (they took it of the bill without asking so + there). Despite my resistance she ordered boneless buffalo chicken wings thinking she would have at least something to eat. Wrong again. The chicken looked anything but appetizing, after couple baits she said thanks but no thanks and we were ready to bail My drink Captain&Coke was one of the worst C&C I ever had, very watery, full of ice (despite me specifically asking for light ice). at steep price of almost $7.00 not really something I care to try again The server wasa bit slow and more interested in chatting with friends then with actually serving us. Overall the experience left a bad taste in our mouths and are certainly not coming back Total bill $30 some dollars. What a waste of money. Do yourself a favor and skip this place read more

I'd never been to an App's before, but 1 of our party of 4 had a gift card, so off we went. Nothing on the menu caught my eye in regard to being free of fatty coatings, fillings, cheese or dressings, so I settled on a triple platter & asked for 3 orders of hot, boneless Buffalo wings. I love Buffalo wings, so I thought I'd be safe. They were beyond awful... swimming in mild (not hot) sauce, mostly batter & little chicken & stone COLD. I returned them to be reheated & (is this a bloody joke!???) they were microwaved into absolute, rock hard oblivion. The waitress returned a plate to me that looked like 2/3 of the wings had been removed, as they'd shrunk that much... they're actually tiny bites, not resembling chicken wings or fingers at all & like small, hard stones. The sauce had dried up, too & the plate was covered in dried, almost burnt wings. I had 3... they were completely inedible & 1 of our party took the rest to feed to their dog. The others said their food/drinks were 'nothing special, not horrible'. From what I recall, the others had salad, burger, some sort of sandwich & fajitas. I drank water, 2 had iced tea & 1 had coffee, which she said was 'lousy'. Horribly slow service, due to being grossly understaffed, awful food, over $80 (including tip) for an awful lunch for 4. Forget it. I won't be returning to this awful place. Wendy's would have been better. 0* out of 5 (but the system doesn't allow for a 0 rating), as the others I visited with said they'd visit another App's if no other choices were available.
