How much chicken was there in my $16 salad? 3.8 oz.

There is a good reason we don't patronize Marie Callender restaurants anymore. We quit going long before Covid. We had felt their standards had been lost in a puff of smoke. Today, I was reminded of why, after ordering a chicken salad to go for $15.99. I chose the "NEW!" Thai Chicken Salad. I remember having a decent version over a decade ago, and I hoped it was close to the same. When I got home and unveiled my container of salad, I was very disappointed. It was a big to-go container, mostly full of lettuce, not quite crisp anymore, tossed with grated, raw carrot and purple cabbage. Yeah. Something I can easily buy a bag of from a local grocery. Tons of lettuce does not impress me, even though it gave me the impression of being huge. Then, there were the chunks of dry, chicken breast on top that looked rather sparse. So, out of curiosity, I decided to pick out the chicken and weigh out how much meat I really got... ooooooh... a whopping 3.8 oz. That's not quite half of a half chicken breast. To add insult to injury, they had topped the salad with crisp wonton strips which, by the time I got home, were already soggy. You know what? Crispy wonton strips put in a separate lidded cup might have persuaded me to "up" this review one more star, but no, it was not meant to be. I re- toasted them in my toaster oven. Thankfully, the sesame dressing and peanut sauce were not bad. But frankly, I could have gone across the street to the Trader Joe's and come home with an equivalent salad (with separately packaged, crispy wonton) and spent $5.99. Or gone to another local establishment where they make masterpieces filled with goodies for the same price. I still love their sugar-free apple pie, but I will not be tempted to try a sub standard meal from MC again. Maybe Corporate should consider returning to a pie-shop-only concept?

My BF had fond memories of Marie's, so I took him there for lunch; I was afraid it wouldn't be able to live up to his nostalgia! When you walk in, you are greeted by a bakery of pies and cheesecakes, which looked tempting The restaurant was serene and the perfect place for a date or family dinner, unfortunately the service was slow, so not the place for a quick bite to eat. The food was delicious, we had cream of potatoe soup, meatloaf sandwich and veggie quiche. We can't wait to go back for their Shepard pie, or chicken pot pie. The cost for two people was $34.

I don't eat breakfast here often but I really enjoy their banana cream pancakes. Arrived this morning at 9:30am and was told it would be a 20 minute wait but we were seated in less than 10 minutes. My pancakes were not quite as good as normal but they were still pretty good. Our server gave us odd service. Each time he came to our table, he always seemed to be in a hurry. When we asked for refills, it felt like it took forever for him to return. It was just not a pleasant or relaxing experience. 4* = food 2* = service 3* = overall

I went here during the week for brunch. When I walked in, I was automatically greeted and seated even though my whole party wasn't with me...that's a plus. It was clean inside even under my table. I got the quiche with the soup and salad. The crust on the quiche was flaky with a good amount of bacon and cheese, served warm. The Cheese Potato soup still has that delicious taste I remember. Salad tasted clean and fresh. I followed my meal up with a slice of Lemon Meringue pie. I liked it was served slightly cold with that tangy lemon/sweet meringue taste.

Mom visiting and wanted some pie.. onto Marie Calendars! Since the closing of the Palmdale location my mom was so happy to see one still in operation. After a night of hanging out at the plaza we just made it in before closing. Bright smiles as we drove back home. Strawberry pie had a good sized mound on top of the crust that kept everything in place. Once you cut into it you may experience a little roll around action happening with these stray berries wanting to escape the mold. Just the right amount of sweet. So satisfying! Parking spaces are a little squished. If needing some extra space I'd recommend drop off then park. Their pie month special still exists!

I am giving 4 stars for outstanding service, I love our server, very attentive. My son ordered Crispy green beans for appetizer soooo good! My chicken and shrimp carbonara it's good ,love the shrimp. The chicken kinda dry ..

For $3.99 you can't go wrong, and they taste good.

When it comes to eating, they tell us to eat healthy. Well the cost is not always easy to chew, LOL. And when you're alone you try to buy the right amount so as not to waste. And we all need a bit of decent variety other than the hamburger, submarine or canned food. I've always enjoyed a pot pie. Not the skimpy little ones you eat with 3 mouthfuls, but something you would call a meal. And of course your homemade side of salad, leafy greens. :) One pot pie company that has always stood out and I enjoy is the Marie Callender's pot pies. They have a variety and their prices are quite good for a good size pie, $3.99. Plus they have vegetables in them too. So if you're tired out and don't feel like making a full blown meal, and all the fixins try a Marie Callender's pot pie.

On the house corn bread....so moist and fluffy! Served warm with sweet tasty butter

We came here for Lunch and not too long of a wait before we got seated. Staff are very quick and friendly. This place is very homey and you can feel Christmas spirit as you walked in. Their pies are so beautifully done and delicious! The place is clean and organized. Love this place!

The ambiance is well created with the dim lights, lit bar, and sounds of ice being shaken. My fiancé and I were seated right at the middle of the bar upon opening, and our bartender named Chris (?) was extremely welcoming with a sense of humor. He gave us an ample of amount of time to review the menus. We first got an IPA and the Love me Knot. For food, we ordered some Cajun fries and the party wings with red chimichurri sauce. The wings were fantastic! The fries were very crunchy, and I wish they were a tad bit softer. For our next round of drinks, we got the Old Fashioned and the Bee's Knees. The drinks were right on par. We left after a few hours and found ourselves quite satisfied. It was a fun experience and the monthly change of words above the liquor wall is always a conversation starter. Needless to say, we'll be back!

They didn't check on us or offer additional drinks, and since the service was slow, we ordered another. They claimed to have notified us about the last call, but that never happened. When our last drinks arrived, we had to chug them down because they were closing. The stares from the staff made the situation awkward. Overall, the experience felt quite rude and unfriendly. I highly don't recommend it; it's nothing special, and the drinks are basic.
