Had a gift card so I took my daughter to enjoy some Applebee's. I'm immediately turned off from a restaurant if I don't smell food...it's a restaurant...it's supposed to smell like food, right! We were seated and the waitress was nice. But apparently a worker showed up late and immediately went to work but left her customer service at home. So a gentleman across the bar (who apparently knew the workers) said, "boy I see why y'all have two stars." Our waitress was now in the bar area and someone (I believed to be her) commented, "we've actually gotten better." Needless to say, we ordered dessert, ate and left. I do not suggest going to this location if you want quick and attentive service! We had a small group and waited 10 minutes for water and lemonade. Then waited 45 minutes for food only after notifying the manager of the wait to see what happened to our order. Gloria did good as my waitress. Usually when I come for lunch I try to get Kelly because she does really really good with me. I'll be honest I am autistic with Aspergers. So I just feel most servers just kinda take advantage of me and just give me attitude or something. But there are times that I go to restaurants with servers that take good care of me to the fact I'll try to get them as my server when I go to those restaurants. Like I said Gloria did good. I did not have to ask for a single refill once my entire meal here today. Food was great so was speed. Not only did I not have to not ask for any refills but she brought me a to go drink and I was just about to ask for one but didn't even have to. The only thing is I don't remember if she asked me if everything on my plate turned out ok. However I'm gonna let it slide today Kelly does really good as I said. The location was okay. Our server was amazing but my food was not the best. I was so hungry and was not able to finish my plate. It looked nothing like the picture. I ordered the Mac/cheese pasta bowl with flavored chicken strips. It was very soupy and the chicken strips were very very small. First of all this place doesn't even deserve a star. My husband and a friend went to go get a dessert for us to share at Applebee's that we called in and when they came back (we ordered the blonde brownie) they forgot the maple frosting. So I took the dessert all the way back to let them know and the manager asked me what I wanted him to do. Well I want you to get me the right sauce and then I want you to give me my money back or give me another one. So he goes to put the order in for my other dessert. 15 mins or so later they bring me the dessert after I asked two people to check on it for me. But when they bring me the dessert it's missing the candies nuts and the maple frosting and the maple frosting they forgot in the first place!!!!! So I tell them and she goes back in the kitchen... Another 15 mins or so goes by and they still didn't bring it to me. Finally I get up and go to the bar and ask for my stuff but the hostess brings it to me and its freaking COLD!!!! So not only did they forget it and it was cold but because it was cold that means THEY WERE PREMADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never again will I go back to this so called "restaurant"! Because it's a national chain, it's pretty easy to pooh-pooh Applebee's. I've gone to various locations a few times for lunch over the years and haven't really thought much about it one way of the other. But this one near Rackspace has a very pleasant ambiance in the evening. The lighting is low, creating a nice mood. It's actually fairly quiet, which is really surprising in a "casual dining" restaurant. The prices are very reasonable, and the food is pretty good. They have recently launched a 550-calorie healthy menu that offers a wide variety of good-tasting dishes. My wife had the lemon parmesan shrimp, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I went with the Roma pepper steak, which I thought was fantastic. The people who work at this location are friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. It's only sheer luck that inandout burger, olive garden and anyone better was packed. To be fair to applebees I expected to be let down. It wasn't busy but we had to wait half an hour for food. The margaritas were pure mix. My first drink took 15 minutes to be delivered. The boneless wings I got were over breaded and over saused, it was way too much. I got high fived in the face once I saw the bill. Paid to play trivia because things were taking so long... And it sucked. Long, sad story short I paid more than the service and food was worth. I ate at this location today. I ordered fiesta lime chicken and my colleague ordered Thai shrimp salad. The chicken I ordered was harder then a rock. I am not exaggerating even with a knife it was hard to cut through.I brought this to the servers attention who said let me talk to the manager and nothing was done not even an apology. I don't know why this chicken was so hard either it was old and had been cooked or microwaved a few times. My suggestion is unless you have teeth like jaws stay away from the fiesta line chicken. Traffic was backed up so we decided to stop here and have dinner until it cleared up. We quickly regretted coming here soon after our food arrived. My husband ordered steak & shrimp with a side of broccoli and mash potatoes. Everything he said was blah! Steak tasted like shoe leather and the shrimp tasted as if it was frozen and they just threw it in some hot water to defrost. He wasn't even sure if it was cooked all the way. Sides were underwhelming as well. I ordered the bbq brisket tacos and was not impressed. Reminded me of the ones they sell at Walmart in the container that you just reheat except worse. My husband tried a bite and he said it tasted like horse meat and barely fit for human consumption lol. It was the worse $51 we ever spent. I knew that there must be a reason why I haven't frequented an Applebee's since high school. But alas, my boyfriend was given an Applebee's gift card for Christmas and we felt obligated to use it. Even before we went, we were both in agony. Even so, I had my hopes that perhaps I would be able to choose wisely and enjoy my meal. I looked at the menu (just now) to provide a better detailed of the food that we ordered; however, the experience was so unmemorable that I can't recall what my boyfriend or I had for dinner. This is the tale of the appetizer that never made it to our table.... First, the waitress took a long time to make it to our table to take our drink order after we were seated. Maybe we should have gotten up and walked next door to the OG. But the biggest issue was that we ordered two appetizers and only one made it to our table. Order delivery through grub hub and when food arrived I was missing items and one of my sandwiches was made wrong. I contacted applebees immediately and was told contact grub hub so grub hub could contact them, applebees did not even apologize for their screw up. Grub hub did refund me back 10.00 which I still feel isn't enough seeing how the messed up sandwich alone was 10.00 and I was still charged for 2 other items I never received. The bartender was friendly but the bar area had that rancid smell of stale beer and mildew. They had a rack of glasses to serve from that was covered in foil. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Went for my mothers birthday had a party of 10, we expected food to come out a little longer just because of the bigger party. But it took over an hour and and half to even get an appetizer. During this time no refills were offered all the glasses were empty as well as our alcohol which we all wanted another round. Two hours there we asked for a manager, another waiter was sent to see if there was something she could do on behalf of the manager to see how the manager could help.
