Literally the best concert venue I have ever been to! We drove here for the first time for Austin for the Bilmuri show, and left with a super great first impression. Parking is available on site for $25. We are unfamiliar with the area so we didn't try looking around for other parking. Easy in and out of the lot. Security and check in was quick, and once inside we were shocked to see a whole food court! It felt like we were at the airport. Everything is spotless and brand new. The merch lines were organized and they had great signage. Once inside the venue we couldn't believe how big it is! Enough to fit 3,000 fans! We ate and drank before arriving, so didn't purchase anything at the show. The prices are expensive like all venues, but they did have a good variety of options. There are even workers walking through the crowd with buckets of beer so you don't lose your spot. I have never seen this at the divey venues we usually are at for rock shows. Free wifi, water fountains available, and super clean bathrooms. 5 stars! Literally the nicest venue. And most importantly, the sound was great! We will definitely go back here for a very comfortable experience. read more

I've been to a few concerts at this venue and overall it is a positive experience! There's plenty of space to move around and the bathrooms are plentiful and fairly clean. I like that there's a variety of food to choose from: burgers, chicken tenders, BBQ, and even sushi! There's a full bar with drinks and there's usually staff selling cans around the venue as well. My one complaint is the parking situation. I think it's absolutely ridiculous to charge $25 for the parking lots, even the ones farthest away. I don't know when this was incorporated but now I'm considering just getting rides/ubering to the venue if it's going to cost half the price of my ticket to park far away. read more

Sometime stop here for lunch during the work week. A little pricey and no one accepts cash here, but most of the vendors are delicious. The tonkatsu ramen hit the spot. They text you when your order is ready, which is nice. There's also sushi, pizza, chicken, BBQ, las palapas, and a coffee shop. The Birria shop closed down and got replaced by a satellite Las Palapas. It's always clean and has a variety of seating options for large and small groups. My son and I attended a boxing event here and it was our first time even seeing the place. I had heard a lot about the new venue, well it was still "new" to us lol. Finding parking was strange, I kept getting turned around but I think that may have been more operator error than a logistics issue . I found the parking lot, it was in front of the venue lolol. There ARE other parking lots , I just assumed the main was full. Wrong. Paying for parking requires an app download that is actually fairly easy to usebcalled Premium parking. The venue itself is pretty cool. Very colorful and sharp. The area we sat in was perfect. Up in the middle bleachers, like a really big TV, except you're IN the TV lolz. Concessions we're pretty average as far as price, I don't think they were outrageous but all we got was a couple sodas, I think it was like $11 or something close to that. The Event staff was very friendly and helpful. Just ask, they'll get you sorted out. I would definitely attend another event here. Bring a butt pad if your seat sensitive lol. They're not lazy boy seats but not too bad. Cold people, bring a light sweater as it got a tad chilly. The venue was very clean. Even DURING the Event they are keeping it clean. Bathrooms were on another level, SUPER clean, stocked up so you don't have any paper problems if ya catch my drift. My son and I REALLY enjoyed our experience. We got to know some of our "neighbors" and it became sort of a group thing. All cheering and chatting together it was cool. I wish I had gotten contact info from the couple in front of us, good people. I digress though, I definitely will return if there's an event I want to attend here. Its pretty easy to get to and from. I think this is a great venue for San Antonio. I've been to many concerts and pretty much all the venues in town. The parking situation was a bit confusing since I hadn't purchased it at the same time as my tickets. I had read that you can place a food order on the Door Dash app and this seemed to save us some time from standing in line so I recommend that. The drink line was long of course, maybe a 10 minute wait. I asked for two glasses of Prosecco but in one cup and they bartender said "That's my kind of order!" and served me three cups instead. It was very much a beer crowd so I think he liked pouring something different and the wine probably would've gone flat if he hadn't. We were seated in the second row and I was relieved that no one in front of us stood up so that we could just sit and enjoy the music although I'm sure its a different experience for artists with younger fans. There seemed to be more womens restrooms than mens, which was a relief and I greatly appreciated. I'm looking forward to coming to future concerts here! read more

Finally, the city of San Antonio got it right when it comes to a large venue. After the mistakes made by tearing down Hemisfair, building the Alamodome and then the AT&T Center, I did not have high expectations for the Tech Port. Man, was I wrong. This place is great. As we arrived, traffic went smooth, the immediate area is nice and parking was a breeze. The ticket scanning/security moved quickly and the staff was nice. We ate in the food court and there was plenty of options and reasonable prices for a concert venue ($20 for bbq sandwich, 2 sides, and soda). We saw Modest Mouse. The band sounded great and the lights were impressive, not sure how much of this was the band or venue's doing but it was good to hear and see. Inside the concert area the floor was general admission, standing room. There was plenty of space to spread out if you didn't want to be in the middle of the crowd. There's also elevated seating behind the floor. I didn't go up there but it looked comfortable. On each side of the floor was concessions and bathrooms. I visited the bathroom towards the end of the show and it was still clean and an attendant was stationed inside. Exiting was also easy but we left as the encore began. Overall, the Tech Port is definitely a top 3 music venue in San Antonio. If future shows are like what I experienced last night, then it'll be the best venue in SA by far. read more

Attended this area for a concert which the concert itself was amazing and entertaining. Now for the venue itself it is beautiful inside and outside with their lights. The seats were I was sitting felt like theater seats. The drinks start off I believe at 15$ they even have food from nachos to popcorn. For the parking it was a mess. Waited in line so that I can turn into the parking lot for about 15 min to find out they were full. Got out of line to head to the other parking lot notice the line was very long but saw a back entrance. Drove that way which there was a sign stating parking and saw some attendants standing there but, they weren't letting people in that way so had to turn back around and get back in line to the second parking lot. Parking is $15 credit card only Tip: bring a jacket! It got really chilly inside & they have a strict purse rule. read more

This venue is phenomenal! It is clear how much money was spent on making this venue state of the art. We toured the game room and they were full of so many computers for gaming tournaments. The game room was incredible, they also host halo tournaments and gaming events. For the concert we stayed in a VIP suite, and their drink menu was extensive. We received our personal waiter who made sure we had everything needed. This arena also has their own culinary chef! While there, we tried the pork Birria in mole sauce, a mini charcuterie board, beef tenderloin ceviche, Brie cheese with blackberry sauce, and for dessert a lemon bar with honeycomb and whipped cream. Everything was absolutely amazing, there was not a single thing we did not like. The shows were amazing as well, the venue is intimate so you will have a great view anywhere in the arena. They also have VIP sections that you can upgrade to with a couch seating area and server who will bring you drinks and food. I can't say enough great things about this place, and I can't wait to go back for another show. If you haven't visited tech port arena you definitely need to go ASAP. read more

So nice to have this new venue. I can only speak on the food hall because that's my only experience. I'm so thrilled to have this food hall within 5minutes from my work building. Before we had to spend half our lunch time traveling. The food hall has 6 LOCAL food and drink vendors , plenty of seating, and a full bar. Boeing Center at Tech Port As an ADA concert goer, I was initially turned away because my bag which had my meds was too big and they refused to see it was medical bag. Had to ask for a supervisors to get anyone to listen tk me - and had to go to a parking security officer to get. I finally getting my bad tagged as medical. I was told to find someone in a blue shirt to help us with seats when we got in. Found a blue shirt standing outside the main door who turned us away and said it wasn't her job to help with ticket questions. Went where we were told to go and that person had no clue and had to leave us standing there to find an answer. "ADA" seats were folding chairs at the back of a standing room only auditorium as far from the stage as you can get. So much for seeing Spiritbox. Super disappointing when the venue had such good reviews. read more

The building itself is awesome and the museum with free admission is a game changer. The fact that the food court is closed on weekends was super disappointing as we were trying to make an afternoon of it with our visit. The gaming center is a fantastic setup as well and not too pricey. Was a little disappointed we couldn't play the game we hoped to play because it needed an update and waiting for it to update cost us some of our time but it happens. Reading some of the reviews on Yelp, I was a bit apprehensive visiting this venue. Previous reviews dealt with concert events at the Boeing Center, with complaints about dyspeptic staff, difficulty parking, difficulty with Ubering, expensive parking and expensive and overpriced foodstuffs. My review is of a different nature, and of a very different experience. Found off highway 90 at General Hudnell Drive, the Boeing Center is at the heart of Port San Antonio, the rebirth of the now closed Kelly Air Force Base. Having visited Kelly in the past, its environs were...well...a military air force base: hangars, nondescript buildings, nonexistent cosmetic architectural elements. The area now is of very well kept grounds, contemporary buildings and a very wide entry through General Hudnell. Quite a difference!! We attended a gala/fundraiser for a local school district, and for our visit, parking was free. We were greeted by security guard, pleasant, who directed us to the parking area. The lot was expansive. The Center itself is of very contemporary design, pleasing to the eye. Within, see the very large venue area, easily seating several hundred celebrants, with bar area right of entry, stage area facing the entry. I am unsure who caters events such as that which we attended, but the menu included beef steak sided with pureed squash, green beans and salad. Friends, I have attended many galas, and frankly, protein entrees for several hundred guests can be...well...ordinary and even tasteless. This dinner was much different. Tender and juicy beef steak, delicious sides. The deserts included a version of bread pudding and cake, and frankly, not the best in town. The service by the staff was point on and very efficient. Should one find invite to gala at the Boeing Center, I would definitely recommend attending, as the experience was profitable. And about the other offerings at the Center. My understanding is that there is a museum, a gaming center, a food court, and music concerts being offered. I had not known of the Boeing Center, and in truth, I am inclined to attend concert, or just visit with my son to experience the gaming center. Be well Yelpers!! read more

The staff are the rudest and most unhelpful bunch we ever encountered! My wife is ADA on top of pther serious medical issue and they had the nerve to tell her to take her bag with medication back to the car. Been at this location 3x, I've tried multiple of their food products, today the sushi rice was dry and hard, and there was actually a fish taste to the tuna so I didn't finish it. It's three dollars for a bottled Coke, they don't provide refills on ice tea, hamburger patties are the size of a junior burger at McDonald's but the hamburger is $10, it will be my last visit because the quality is extremely poor, the quantity on the light side, and the prices are Expensive. For example, a side order of rice and a spicy tuna sushi roll with ice tea cost me $25 today. I find the staff friendly initially, but you actually have to order electronically and then, when you ask them a question that has something unique or different, they tend to be defensive And since they don't actually take your order, it's hard to understand or find someone to talk to while you're trying to decide what to order since they may have a back turned or be behind a grill. I realize this is really for events, it's a shame that for those of us to go during our work lunch, we have to pay event pricing for this level of food I'll just buy sushi at the grocery store for seven dollars, or go to McDonald's for nine dollars and an entire value meal read more

They were rude to every person I saw them talk to not only door staff but the parking lot staff as well. They were rude to people who were not causing any issues nor was the parking lot packed at all. They were there picking up a friend and was just waiting with no issue but yet the parking lot staff walked up to their car yelling at them. The facility itself was ok, wish there were better signs for parking. Short walk to the venue through a grassy field. I HATED the seating. Extremely cramped, had no leg or shoulder room whatsoever, saw multiple people almost fall because the floor seats are cheapo folding chairs. I had to constantly step out of my aisle to move so people could (constantly!!) exit and enter my row. It's infuriating when I'm trying to focus and enjoy the show. They should also be fined for price gouging. Their drinks are wickedly overpriced (as they are at most venues and it's complete BS). Unless you want to drink out of the covid fountain by the bathrooms.. Oh and it was frickin hot and stuffy, with very little ventilation. It was actually much cooler outside. My son and I went to see the Smashing Pumpkins at the Tech Port Arena and I just have to say, "WOW, WOW, WOW!" Besides their first concert being a totally awesome one, I'm blown away by the facility, the amenities and how they were overly staffed and extremely attentive. If someone spilled a drink, someone was mopping it within a couple of minutes. If someone fell, at least five employees were there to help. If someone acted up, SAPD was escorting them out. They had a food court with delicious food. My son got a delicious hand tossed pizza. In the food court they have an Earl Abel's, they have Burria tacos, pizza, and so much more. The concession lines were fast when there was actually a line. They had enclosed outdoor seating. A cleaning lady stayed in the bathroom and there were lots of them. There wasn't a bad seat in the place . We loved it so much. I strongly recommend not hesitating to attend a concert there. It was a GREAT experience! The Smashing Pumpkins rocked!!! read more

I am so dismayed with our experience at the Tech Port Center + Arena based on my family's experience this past Saturday attending the Puscifer show. My wife and I love this band and have seen them, Tool and A Perfect Circle many times over the years. These bands have a "No Camera or Cell Phone" policy at all of their shows...we know this very well and know to NEVER violate this policy, under threat of being ejected from the show. Having had our mind's blown at the Austin show just a few months ago, we decided to make a very special night of it and purchase VIP tickets for myself, my wife and our 6 year old son in the 3rd row. These seats did not come cheap (we spent nearly $1200 on these 3 tickets), and drove 100 miles with our 6 year old in tow to see this show. This was going to be my son's first big rock concert, and we were prepared for an amazing night. Everything started off fine. We ate dinner at the venue, and there were lots of other families that brought their small children. When the show started, our son stood on his seat in the 3rd row center for a very intimate and amazing experience. After 14 songs, the band took an intermission. My son told us he was tired and my wife (being the sweet lady she is) offered to take him to the car while I enjoyed the final 5 songs of the night. She took him to the restroom, and I followed them out about 2 minutes after, thinking I could talk my wife into staying for the rest of the show, and I'd hold my son while he rested. I texted my wife to see which restroom she was in, and I waited outside for her. Suddenly, my wife comes out in tears as security followed closely behind her. She tells me that they were ejecting her from the show for taking photos. They actually followed my wife and son into the bathroom, and a woman pointed her finger at my wife and said "that's her! She's the one I saw filming!" My wife was absolutely astonished. Not only had this been completely untrue, but the manner in which they accused her was shocking. She was in the bathroom with our young son! I tried to intervene and politely told the head of security (Christina, the "account manager") that they were mistaken. My wife and I had both been bracing our young son on the seat and were within eye shot of the band we love in the 3rd row center. There was NO WAY we would be disrespecting their rule about filming, no less so flippantly in their faces! We told Christina to please check her phone. This could be easily cleared up if they just allowed us to prove they were mixing us up with someone else. Christina said, "I trust my people, they saw you. They said a woman with red hair and her young son." Despite our pleading with them, they would not allow us to show my wife's phone did not contain any pictures of video. They continued to demand that she leave the venue and then not only threatened to call San Antonio PD, but proceeded to walkie talkie to send the police. This is in front of our 6 year old!!! They treated my wife like a criminal and would not allow us do anything to resolve the matter otherwise. My wife took my son to the car and cried, while I went back to my seat completely shocked and furious. Christina, the account manager, stole this memory from my family. She robbed us of our experience with our son, and fraudulently accused my wife of a crime she did not commit. She blamed the band's policy, but this was not correct. This was her team's INCORRECT ENFORCEMENT of the band's policy. She would not confirm where we were seated. She would not back down from her fraudulent claim. This venue's security detail took gestapo-esque measures to target, harass, intimidate, threaten and shame my wife. Needless to say, we will never be back to this venue again and have written to the band's tour manager to let them know about this absurd experience. Christina should be fired for her misconduct and her lack of care for the experience of paying customers. NOBODY in our section was filming or taking pictures. Everyone around us was enjoying ourselves within the bounds of the band's and venue's policies. DO NOT pay for VIP tickets for this venue, especially if there is a cell phone camera policy. In fact, just skip going to this venue altogether. If a band you love is playing here, take a trip to a venue whose security detail won't completely ruin your experience due to their heavy handed and short sighted power trips. read more

Absolutely the worst venue in town. The venue is unimpressive. It had nothing special to it. Worst of all, they take your phone and place it in a locked bag that did not fit in my purse. So I had this large bag around my phone and no place to put it. Additionally, we had a babysitter for our young children. The bag rendered us unreachable in case of emergency. Further, we ubered because we wanted to responsibly enjoy an adult beverage. There is no rideshare area. To get an uber, we had to walk out to the main road. I was so glad I was not alone standing on the side of the street. I will skip any future concerts at this arena. read more

I saw Underoath and the ghost inside here. The sound quality was terrible. Honestly think my car had a better sound quality. Both bands tried to fix it after the crowd was yelling at them and nothing helped. Also $16 dollars for a beer? saw Puscifer here recently and while their show was amazing, the venue had some serious challenges. first of all, my sister-in-law and my 6 year old nephew were wrongfully accused of having a phone out (we've all seen Tool and Puscifer enough to know that is a NO-NO!) and they were THROWN OUT of the show! they had spent over $1200 on VIP tickets and had my 6 year old nephew with him who was so excited to see the show bc he loves them. they were both in tears after this experience. the security team had no evidence to back their accusations and refused to even try to verify their claims by ohhh I dont know, looking to see if they'd taken any photos or videos?!?! her phone was OFF, and again, we all have too much respect for those musicians to be stupid enough to violate that policy. it was just their word against ours and it was incredibly unjust. I feel so bad about what happened to them during a show from one of our favorite groups. additionally, this venue serves drinks with no lids and then gives you absolutely no place to store them. seats are extremely small and close together with no cupholders. before Puscifer even started, I had picked my purse and jacket up off the ground only to find that they were SOAKED in my neighbors soda which she bad spilled and didnt bother to tell anyone. it ruined my purse and sent me on a wild goose chase to find a plastic bag to store my sticky, drippy belongings in for the rest of the night. by the end of the night, the arena floor was covered in spilled drinks. we were standinf in a puddle of soda all night. they had janitorial staff coming around to "mop" it (which really just spread it out even further) and put yellow CAUTION signs all over the place that people were then running into and tripping over left and right. also the rows are literally so close together that we had to completely exit our row and go into the aisle EVERYTIME people needed to get by, which was a lot. and I'm a tiny person! so there's just not enough space to have belongings, beverages, and room to stand/walk with a giant mess ensuing. again, this experience is no reflection of the band and 100% on the venue management staff. we have no interest in returning. read more

I will start by saying that this is the first time in my life I have ever left a review (I have never felt the need to until now). My friends and I Ubered to the venue and were directed by a parking staff guy to go down to the next light and enter through that way. We did that and then the parking guy in that area told us to turn back around and go back to where we had just came from. We explained to him that the first parking guy told us that this was where Uber was supposed to be dropped off. He immediately got super aggressive and told us that we were wrong and to turn back around. We asked if we could just get out of the car in that area (considering there were no other cars behind us so we weren't holding up traffic or anything and one of our friends really had to use the restroom). He did not respond so we started to get out of the car and then he WENT OFF. It was some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced and was completely uncalled for. He could have gone about the situation much more kindly. We then made our way to the entrance and started making our way through security. I made the mistake of not reading all of the rules (I do not attend many concerts so I didn't think to check bag policy... I take full responsibility for that part). The security woman stopped me and said that although my bag was small enough, the fact that it was a backpack meant I could not take it in. I explained that we ubered so I had nowhere to put it (I asked about lockers, if I could leave it at their table, etc. Also, I get that it is not their problem, but their response left me flabbergasted). She told me that I could either throw it in the trash or hang it on the fence and hope it does not get stolen. Keep in mind, not once did I treat them disrespectfully... As mentioned above, one of my friends had to use the restroom really badly and I had the tickets on my phone. So I told her I'd let them scan her ticket on my phone while I tried to figure out what to do with my bag... I walk her over to the ticket scanner and the security lady comes up to me yelling and said "I am gonna have to call SAPD on you!!!" And I explained that I was just letting my friend in. She continued to be extremely rude. It was truly the worst experience I have EVER had with an employee. She did indeed proceed to call SAPD over. He looked at my bag and said, "I think it's fine? He was very kind and generous and totally redeemed the negative situation for us. He gave us his phone # so we could find him after the show. Truly saved us!!! The venue was nice and the concert was amazing. Unfortunately for this venue, the customers first impression is with parking and security. And based on how poor of an experience I had with both of those departments, I will NEVER go back to this venue. And I do not recommend anybody else does until they train their staff to have better customer service or hire new people all together. It was absolutely terrible. And we weren't the only ones who felt this way. I overheard several people in the venue talking about their negative experience and also talked to the people sitting next to us and none of them had a pleasant experience. read more
